Personality: If a single word were used to describe the individual known as Francis Crane it would be sophisticated.

Francis has become highly skilled at keeping his emotions in check in order to avoid unknowingly projecting his own emotions onto others. This, however, makes him seem inadvertently aloof and secluded at times but he is by no means a “dark” or brooding personality.

Francis is a very meticulous and profound individual. Even when he appears self-controlled and calm there is a seething intensity of emotional energy under the placid exterior. He is like the volcano not far under the surface of a calm sea, it may burst into eruption at any moment, but those who are particularly perceptive will be aware of the harnessed aggression, the immense forcefulness, magnetic intensity and often strangely hypnotic personality under the tranquil but watchful composure of Francis. In conventional social gathering he can be pleasant to be with, thoughtful in conversation, dignified, reserved and yet affable and courteous. He is a man that exhibits loyalty and discipline and is always willing to go above and beyond what is expected of him.

Francis seems to undergo a major personality change after becoming The Butcher. While his normal persona seems more analytical and focused, when in the guise of the The Butcher he seems to become more emotionally driven and has been known to act in ways seemingly out of character (Killing whoever stands in his way, Attacking the innocent, and being uncultured.}.

History: Born with his soul owned by the devil due to a deal by his father father, Francis' childhood and early adult life were spent behind the walls of Hell's "jail", a horrifying place where people with no soul were kept and forced into torture everyday. His mother was imprisoned with him, and remained so until her death. Though imprisoned, Francis' natural abilities allowed him to develop extraordinary skills within the "prison's" walls. He read as many books as he could get his hands on, built up his body in the prison's gym, and learned to fight in the merciless school of prison life amongst some of the toughest demons. Despite his circumstances, he appeared to have found teachers of various sorts during his incarceration, ranging from hardened convicts to an elderly Satanic priest, under whose tutelage he apparently received a classical education. However, he committed his first murder at the age of eight, stabbing a criminal who looked at him the wrong way.

Francis ultimately established himself as the "Leader" of this hellish prison. The prison's demonic controllers took note and eventually forced him to become a test subject for a mysterious new magical/surgical procedure, which had killed all other subjects. It nearly killed him as well, but he survived and found its effects enhanced his physical strength, and allowed his to bring a long blade out of his skin from each forearm.

With these new powers Francis managed to escape the Hell Prison and used a portal owned by the Devil himself to get to earth. Now here on earth he still feels his urges from living in the demonic hell hole all his life. Over the past couple years he has been on earth he has mastered his powers and became an infamous murdered and assassin.

Powers: Francis is capable of making a single long blade come out of each of his forearms.

Roleplay Sample: "Come out, come out wherever you are!" Butcher said in a low menacing voice, he already knew where his pray was hiding but he loved the thrill of making them hide in fear. Slowly he made his way down the long hallway into a small study, the old wooden desk was flipped on it's side, two book cases were knocked over and a large fat man's body was pinned to the wall by a long sword with blood pouring perfusely out of the wound. "DAMN IT!" Butcher roared as he kicked the wood desk with all of his might at the wall, with an exploding bang it shattered and exploded. Yet again Butcher's arch-rival in the assassin game had beat him to a target, "I will find and kill you!"

The character image is pretty cool in my opinion. So this guy's got a deadly EP weapon/power, seems simple enough, I like it. I'll approve.
