Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

The Gentleman
Real Name: Simon Masters
Super Hero/Villain/Renegade/etc Name: The Gentleman
Title: The Night Walker, the Gentleman in the Shadows.
Alignment: Good
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian; mix of Scots-Irish, Cherokee, and English
Hair: Brown when in costume
Eyes: Blue; Grey when in costume
Height: 6'; 6'6'' with hat
Weight: Around 180 lbs.
Personality: Dry, quiet, focused to the point of snobbery. In his investigations, he attempts to soak up any and all information he can, thinking it may be useful at a later point, no matter how small, a la Holmes. He tries to rely not on gadgets, but his intellect, though he will use whatever he deems necessary to complete what he is doing.
While not the classic "Batman"-style vigilante (the Gentleman will kill if he is given no other option, and does intend on killing those who could be responsible for his parent's death), the two share obvious parallels, such as taking inspiration from pulp and Victorian fiction and mainly conducting investigations at night. I will even go as far to say that the Gentleman is something of a retropunk Batman, something like the Dark Knight's Gotham By Gaslamp counterpart.
History:
Powers: None. Uses intellect, gymnastic skill, and modified walking sticks and umbrellas, ranging from concealed swords, a grappling hook, even a propeller for escapes.
ITEMS:
Hat: Uses several smaller LEDs in the centre of the band which can create a bright light for searching, a la headlamps. The fiber optics are mostly situated towards the top, with a small AC adapter plug on the left-hand side of the band for charging. It can last three hours when fully charged. The hat itself is black with a dark gray band.
Umbrella: There are several of this particular gadget, his most utilized being a non-functional umbrella which fires a small, but rather strong grappling hook from the tip. He also has a not-quite-perfected collapsible propeller in one of the umbrellas, and he is constantly trying to fix it's issues with power. His umbrellas are always gray in colour with a brown hooked handle for the grappling hook variant, and a black "T" hook for the helicopter.
Walking stick/cane: Contains a concealed sword in the body. He occasionally utilizes a model which fires small bullets using compressed air cartridges, disguised as the hand-ball atop the cane. The cane is black with a silver ball for the sword variant, gold for the gun model.
PowerGrid:
Intelligence- 6
Strength- 3
Speed- 3
Durability- 3
Energy Projection- N/A
Fighting Skills- 5
Character Image/Description:
Black Victorian-era dress suit with top hat and coat, with white gloves and a black theatre mask. His coat has several concealed pockets containing lock picks, smoke screen bombs, etc. With his hat, he stands at an intimidating 6'6, helped by his clothes which cause him to appear larger than he actually is. In public, he wears contacts which change his irises to gray, and a short brown wig under his hat. His top hat also contains a concealed LED torch used as a headlamp, controlled by a button on the band.

History:
- Spoiler:
- Simon's childhood was a typical one growing up in a small town in New England. Loving parents, both orphans, and he himself was an only child, letting him enjoy the wonders of lower-upper class life from the success of the Masters' engineering company. In his youth, Simon enjoyed two things: literature and acting. It was a boyhood dream to perform a show based on the books he had loved growing up (mostly the works of Wells, Dickens, and Verne) upon a stage for his family, which he did attending Julliard as a young man portraying Bob Cratchitt in "A Christmas Carol".
However, not even two weeks after that final curtain, Simon's father Allan was found dead of a heart attack. The tragedy sadly did not end there, as a month later, Simon also lost his mother, Maxine, apparently from grief. The then-twenty-year-old Simon withdrew from school, then the world. Having no family left, he holed himself in the family's extensive library to cope with his loss. After reading every book in the room, pausing only to make meager meals for himself and travel to the corner store for supplies, he emerged a different man.
As soon as he got ready to re-enter the world, he learned something terrible: his parents may well have been murdered with a recently-developed toxin that causes cardiac arrests, and is almost undetectable. Numb and heart-broken, Simon decided to find the bastards that killed his parents, creating his persona based on the Victorian literature he had always loved. The media dubbed him "The Gentlemen" after seeing his nighttime strolls as he apprehended the criminals responsible for the drug's creation. He still searches for the people that gave it to his loved ones, and it has lead him in something of a goose chase across the globe.
Simon hid a good chunk of his inheritance in an island off the coast of Rhode Island, and faked his own death in a boating accident, paying a crooked bureaucrat for several different copies official papers of different aliases. When in public, he disguises himself with wigs and make-up, as well as his own wide vocal range, to keep anyone from guessing his true self. When out as the Gentleman, he uses a deep, posh British accent.

Re: The Gentleman
Sorry; I just finished moving and got my internet back last week. Can I keep my char?

Re: The Gentleman
Sure can, just gotta work on this application. Personality could use some work. You do have super human attributes, 4 STR and 4 END. So you're gonna have to fix your history a little, find a reason for you to have those super human powers.
Give an exact age, and you're awfully tall Gentleman.
You're gonna have to either make an item application or go into detail on what gadgets you have on your character app.

Re: The Gentleman
Well, the height does say 'with hat'. The hat adds about six or seven inches.
What would you say is 'human' strength and endurance?
The only 'gadget' he really has is the light in his hat. Should I just elaborate on that?

Just make him 6 feet tall, and put (6,6 with hat.) that way you have a actually height, but people know that you look much taller.
1 Strength/Durability is below average
2 Strength/Durability is a bit above average
3 Strength/Durability is the human peek. AKA Olympian level.

You have to list all of this things as items, or else you cannot use them while roleplaying. It keeps things fair and makes it so that Intelligence isn't a overpowered stat. Just state the item, it's abilities, appearance, and strength level (Including your 'hat' if it has special abilities/gadgets hidden inside).

Re: The Gentleman
Fixed everything. How's that?

Re: The Gentleman
Gadgets look fine to me.
You sure you only want an 18 point grid? You could boost STR and END to 3 and not be super human.
Can you elaborate on your personality a little more?
