This look minus the eye piece and the mask, he also has different types of suits for different situations, like white in a snowy environment for example.

Personality:

Mars as a person, can be described at a glance as the strong silent type. When exposed to people that he is not familiar with he tends to clam up and not say much only speaking when spoken to. As he grow more trusting toward and individual or group he will relax and become more vocal. Rarely one to ask for help Mars would rather solve his own problems than ask for help, but he will not reject a helping hand when offered. As a super hero Mars is more of a lone wolf than anything he prefers to operate out of the shadows using darkness and stealth as his most powerful asset. Mars is brave he will never back down from a challenge and will not hesitate to kill those who are a threat to him or the others. Mars feels it is his responsibility to protect those who cannot protect themselves.


History:
Born to an average family in a small town in the American Midwest. As a child Darren enjoyed simple things. He worked hard with his father on their family farm and spent hour out side learning to become one with the wilderness. His father Sergeant Alex Marsden was a army veteran, Darren's father was his hero since he could remember. Darren father taught him survival skills, and how to hunt at a very young age. Darren had a natural affinity to firearms and became a skilled marksman before he hit the age of fifteen.

Like his father when Darren turned eighteen he joined the armed forces. Darren found once he arrived at basic training that all of the things he used to do was a child with his father translated well into a military career. Through exemplary performance on and off the field of combat Darren rose through the ranks to Sargent within his first two and a half years in the army. After his promotion Darren took on the role of squad leader for his section. Darren exemplary leadership, survival, and combat skills as well as his near superhuman will power and endurance caught the eye of a recruiter of the CIA's Special Operations Group. After passing the initial selection courses with ease, Darren was accepted into the ranks of the CIA's SOG and began his six month training in special operations.

As a special operative Darren excelled even more than when he was part of the army. Most of his missions were solitary or only with a very small 2-4 man units allowing Darren to work out his own plans and tactics and allowing him the flexibility ti preform his task and complete his objectives as he saw fit. This new freedom also came with a cost though some thing that Darren experienced first hand.

On a mission in the middle east deep behind enemy lines Darren and his squad mate Jared Lucas were collecting intelligence on secret cave complexes built by insurgents deep in the mountains. After a uneventful week of intelligence gathering they were packing up their equipment and getting ready to rendezvous at their extraction point when they must have been spotted. The insurgents opened fire on Darren and Lucas and the two operatives returned fire while working their way through the jagged mountainous landscape back toward their extraction point. As they reached their destination with at least a dozen of enemies following them Darren was struck through the chest with a armor piercing round from a sniper rifle and that was the last thing he would remember.

Darren was carried onto the exaction helicopter by Lucas and slipped into a coma. Before the pair touched back down in the states Darren had passed. Darren was given a full scale military funeral and was buried a hero, or at least was believed to have been. A splinter group of CIA scientists had secretly intercepted Darren's body and sent a empty casket to be buried in Arlington. Darren's body was actually sent to a secret lab deep in the Alaskan wilderness. It was there that Darren would become a unknowing member of project Advanced Warrior. Darren was injected with a vial of semi-biotic nanobots that were called Advanced Warrior cells. The "cells" rebuilt, restored, enhanced, and resurrected Darren's body. Darren remained in a coma as it recovered from its victory over death and the the scientists celebrated over being modern day Dr. Frankensteins. Though unknown to them was the fact that what they had awakened was not what the thought. The researchers believed that Darren would come back a totally subservient super solider who would follow the orders of his commanders with out question. Little did they know that the "cells" had done a better job than they had expected. Darren's mind and consciousness was restored in full, and he was none too happy about being ripped from his eternal rest.

When Darren awoke from his coma the scientists were astonished they had not anticipated Darren to wake up for weeks. They were even more surprised to see Darren was not the mindless shell they anticipated. Darren on the other hand panicked, the last memory he had was taking a sniper bullet too the chest and as such Darren still believed he was in combat. Suffering from extreme PTSD, Darren snapped killing everyone in the lab and escaping into the Alaskan wilderness.

Darren has never been sure how long it took him became truly lucid again, but at the time he regained cognition again was standing in knee deep snow and fighting a full grown grizzly bear with his bare hands (haha bad pun). Darren found that he was able to easily overpower the beast, beating it down and strangling it with almost no trouble at all. Standing there Darren felt more powerful something had happened to him, some how he was different not just in strength but in other ways too. Following his tracks in the snow back to the lab he saw what had taken place, what he had done and was physically sick. After he pulled himself together Darren managed to find a computer and found entries that documented the project. Realizing that to everyone but these men he was dead, Darren collected some gear and provisions and then destroyed the lab the equipment and all of the reports. Darren knew would never be able to have a normal existence now but maybe this second chance was given to him so that he could defend his country. Darren Marsden had was KIA but his death allowed Mars to be born and to continue protecting his nation

Powers:

Advanced Warrior "Cells" - Microscopic semi-biotic self-replicating artificial organisms that live in Darren's body. After restoring Darren back to life the Advanced Warrior nanobots integrated themselves into Darren's body, they grant Darren amazing physical abilities like that the CIA thought would make him a perfect covert operative.

Peak-human strength- Mars can overhead press about 650 pounds and up to 700 while straining himself.

Peak-human Speed- Mars can match an Olympic sprinter stride for stride in a foot race.

Superhuman durability- Mars body is impervious to most forms of conventional weapons including bullets, small to medium sized explosives (grenades, RPGs), and blades. Mars can allow survive falls from multiple stories without injury, his body can also withstand exposure intense heat and cold. He does though have problems with enemies who use magic however, his extraordinary durability does somewhat protect him from magic as compared to normal humans but he will not last long against a foe who uses magic without help. Mars is also immune to the effects of most types of disease.

Superhuman equilibrium - Mars can reach a state of equilibrium that is unobtainable by anyone without superhuman abilities. This allows Mars to land, run, or stand on almost any surface no matter how small or narrow.

Wall-Crawling - Mars can adhere to and scale most surfaces with his hands and feet through electrostatic attraction.

Enhanced Vision - Mars can see in the normal human spectrum as well as being able to switch to night vision, his is also able to see in the infrared and ultraviolet sections of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Gifted Fighter - A trained Army and CIA special forces operative Mars is one of the most skilled warriors on the planet. Mars is a highly trained hand to hand combatant. Mars is trained in dozens of fighting styles, and draws upon skills from all of these styles while fighting. Mars is also a gifted marksman, he is trained and highly skilled with most types of conventional firearms.

Stealth - Mars makes up for his lack of speed and strength as compared to other heroes by relying on stealth, he is amazingly adept at blending into the shadows, the environment, and moving silently. His paramilitary training has made him an expert in field craft. Mars spends a lot of his off time committing the areas he patrols to memory, he studies and searches for all points of cover, concealment, and escape to the point where he can navigate through places he is familiar with in total darkness making him a terror to his opponents in a dark environments.
