Deep down in the seedy bayous of Cajun country one can find just about any sort of trouble you will ever need or want. Religion runs deep here, and they don't take kindly to any 'super-powered freaks' . Things run on a, although corrupt, simple way of life. Problems are kept quiet until they are either swept under the rug or buried in the swamp.

Tourism is what feeds this hungary city and any thing that interrupts that that gravy train will be dealt with by the fullest extent of the law. Local sheriffs and all out backwoods mobs deal with problems and they show little mercy. It is a city that is brimming full of unsavory characters and dangerous women. It is a city of street performers and pickpockets that work in unison only to split the cut later. It is a city of men whom aren't afraid to wrestle alligators, and woman who walk the line between this world and the next. It is a city who's local superheros have to hide in the shadow for fear of being lynched.

Spicy Gumbo Noir is a thread that will showcase the grittier street level vigilante style heroes and villains. Although superpowers aren't out of the question, this thread would like to focus on the everyday badasses that make streets a little safer, even though the public hates and fears them. It will be dark, and graphic with harsh language and nudity, in short ,it will be fun.

To enter simply create( I would prefer a new construct) a 'street level' hero, renagade, or villain and start in on what ever actions you deem are brooding enough to warrant narration. You can choose your own path or follow along with the crime story that will be unfolding. I only ask that you put forth your absolute best writing possible and that you post, well thought out interactions within the Crime-Noir premise. Unlike other threads this won't focus so much on who has the highest stats, but instead on who has the most intriguing weaknesses and how their enemies choose to ply them against you; because this, after all is the stuff of a good gritty crime story.

You may be either born here or from someplace else, but you are in the 'Big Easy' now, and the pressing matter of heroes turning up dead in the Voodoo capital is the story on eveybody's lips. 3 heroes have tuned up missing in the last month. Whiz kid, a genious IQ scientist detective; Ruby Lips, a local Madame and pheromone seductress; and The Silluette, a detective from back east that came to investigate his late acquaintances disappearance, the aforementioned Ruby Lips. No one knows what happened to them, and those that do are certainly not talking.
