Idea for new arc.

It'll take place thirty years after this arc, and an Event happens.

The Event affects all superhumans on Earth. Each superhuman loses their powers. Superhumans who don't use energy projection, are not human, weren't on Earth, or weren't born don't lose powers, but the rest do.

Just an idea, allowing for new characters, and for the old ones to have to severely adapt into Badass Normals.

Yeah, just an idea I got. It seemed interesting, all the former heroes having to step down and adapt.

Wow, this is almost exactly like the origins of City of Heroes. There was a time of great crisis where all the heroes lost their powers. The 'Naturals' became the driving force for good while both sides looked for the reasons behind what happened. Eventually a god-like entity was approached, and the leader of the heroes sacrificed himself in offering to return the world to normal. Once he did, the other heroes took his body back to the healer and had her revive him, effectively tricking the god-like entity. It was an interesting read. And as much as I'd like Chainer to become the local badass, I dunno if we could do it. How many nats do we even have on the site? Let alone active ones. And what would be the cause of the cataclysm?

I have never played City of Heroes, I wouldn't know. Cause of the Event? Chalk it up to Nightkill messing with the laws of nature again.

No. Kills to many character ideas. Be like all the powerhouses falling victim to a random outbreak of polio and becoming parapalegics.

well what does this effect? for instance, Pains powers were given through experimentation, would those go away? and David gets his powers from a parasitic alien lifeform, would those be gone? and what are the ramifications of this event, how does it effect superhumans? different people have innate powers they were born with for different reasons, how would it cover all the different reasons?

I dunno. Just shooting a random idea I had. I have pretty stupid ones.
