Personality:
Char is the type of girl who could meet a stranger and become their best friend in a day, she's always charming, sweet and kind. She's always wants to make everyone happy, she hates to see any good person sad or angry. But don't take her for granted, she may be small, sweet, and funny but if she's mad she'll pack a punch. Doesn't like being a so-called "Drama Queen" she tends to be really laid back

History:
She was born with the ability to control the plants that lived around her, but soon her powers advanced when she hit puberty, when her dormant powers (light & dark) soon showed themselves to her. At first she had troubles even trying to comprehend that she now had more powers then she was born with. At first the only thing she was able to do was was create an orb of light and that was just a faint glow, and with her attempts with darkness it was worse, she could only make maybe a wisp of darkness then within a second it'd be gone, and that was when she was lucky. The only way she found out that she could become light and dark was when she was embarrassed or just completely wanted to be hidden from everything, now she can switch that on and off when she wants to and sometimes, if she gets embarrassed enough she will turn into light or dark (depending on the place).
How she learned she could travel with darkness? It simply was an accident, she was trying to get away from everything and everyone, she went into the shadows of an alleyway and came out of another one, to say that she didn't ever have problems with traveling would be a total lie. She'd sometimes come out at totally random places, like at a pizza parlor when she was just trying to get home fast.

She lived a pretty average life, despite the fact that she had powers, her mother was always worrying about her, her dad was the laid back one, her sister Holly was always spontaneous, Kyle was just like her dad, laid back, calm, and smart. As far as she knew she was the only one in her family that had any type of power, sure her mom could make an awesome pizza but she didn't really think that it was a superpower

Kyle was her twin brother, they never were really close even if they were twins, he was always out with friends making sure to be back on time and making sure nothing went wrong, while Char was always the one at home with a good book and listening to music. But, one night Kyle didn't come back on time, which was odd for him. Everyone just assumed that he'd probably be home in the morning saying that he was sorry that he wasn't home on time. But all they got the next morning was a knock on the door and a police man saying "Ma'am I have some bad news," which as you've probably guess was the most terrible news that anyone could have gotten. Her mother broke down crying right after she heard the news, while her father tried to calm her. Char just stood there not portraying any emotion except for maybe a few tears. She hates it whenever someone mentions "Oh that dear boy Kyle" and how "tragic his death was" near her family, because her mother would burst into sobs just like when she heard the news.

When she was very young only her mother seemed to notice that her daughter seemed to make the plants grow around her whenever she was in the garden. Soon Char realized that she was different, special was how her mother put it, and only told her mother about her accomplishments with her plants, like the day that she made a rose bud, flower a few days early, then their was the larger accomplishments like keeping a plant live outside during the winter. To her father and sister, Holly, she seems just a normal person that is really awesome with plants and was never afraid of the dark when she was young.

When she finally moved out of her parents house when she was 18 she was able to become a photographer for nature, people's portraits, or just little things like a pair of dice at an angle in odd lighting. Her family fully supported her in what ever she did, which made her always believe she could change anything about her life, her clothes, her job, her house, her hair, just about anything.


Powers:
Can control plant life, light, and darkness
Well plant life is slightly obvious, she can control any type of plant, even if it's under a building, she doesn't have to see it to know that the plant is there, she can constantly sense where every plant is and type of plant it is. But in order to actually use the plant she has to sense it, which her sense is about 25 yards, all around her.
Light and Darkness are a little more confusing to understand. With light, she can create an orb of it, that could possibly be powerful enough to blind someone for a moment, she is able to become light, by become it I mean totally become a part of light, she can move dip and dive totally unseen to anyone that isn't looking for her. Sure if you're trying to find her then that's another story, her body is slightly lighter then the light around her, so it's not impossible to find her.
Darkness is pretty much the same thing, instead of light it's darkness, but the main difference with darkness is that she can 'travel' with it, when I say travel I mean she can go in one shadow and come out of another a block down. No she can't go in one shadow and come out in another shadow in Rome or something, it does have limits.

Roleplay Sample: (If new or new character)

It was Kyle's death's anniversary and Char was having a hard time dealing with it.
Her mother knocked on her bedroom door "Sweetheart, are you sure you're okay?"
"Yeah, Mom, just like I said before, I'm totally fine," Char said, tired of her mother asking if she was fine, what a stupid question, of course she wasn't fine! Her twin brother was dead how could she be fine with that?
[i]Kyle had always been the responsible one,[/i] Char thought to herself as she climbed out her bedroom window to go on a late night walk.
It was a foggy night, making it look more eerie then it truly needed to be and the moon was half covered by dark-slightly-see-through-clouds as she walked not paying attention to the eeriness or the clouds, she was just thinking of her brother, of course she was, when wasn't she? She let out an airy sigh, she needed to live her life, not to forget him, but to move on.
She moved her dark hair out of her eyes as she came to his grave, she closed her eyes for a second and then there was a now budding rose, a sign she had been there.
"Miss you Kyle," She whispered as she turned to get back home.

There, the history is much longer (If I do say so myself), I changed the limit on her plant power (because I do agree that it was a tid bit too strong ) and I added onto how she got Light&Darkness

I think the plant power is alittle too powerful. If you can manipulate a plant, even miles away, you could easily wipe someone out without giving them a fighting chance.

But i really like her. (especially her costume ^_^) I agree with Entity, you do need a little more history. Then again, I'm not an admin, so my advice is just me telling you what i think. XD

This is the fifth one in a row entity failed to mention teleportation is banned, Im not saying its unapproved, but darkness travel limits needs to be explained.

Also Light abilities allow flight, however limited, the powergrid only allows 20 points to flyers.
