Quest Rules and Regulations

Rules

- Anyone can suggest or create a quest, BUT they MUST be approved by a Moderator [Forum or Site] or an Admin.

- You must create a quest application before beginning the actual quest.

- After creating the quest application topic, you must create a separate topic (with the same title as the quest, please) for your quest in the active quests section.

- You may not quest alone, either have someone join you or gather a party of friends and quest all together.

Rewards

The way quests work now are as follows:

Select a difficulty level. You must meet the requirements of the QUEST LEVEL chosen in order to earn rewards.

Quests are at THREE levels of difficulty:

EASY
Minimum: 2 players
Small, shorthand goal completed in 10 posts (minimum) per player, that would result in gaining a smaller advancement, potential to lose a weakness, or gain a new item. [e.g.advancement example]
Renown Boost: 5 points of renown
Flat XP Bonus: 20 XP
Quest posts are 350 words equals 1 XP.

Easy Quest Examples: Stopping someone from stealing someone's purse on the street, rescuing a child from a well, stopping a low-end villain from robbing a jewelry store.

MEDIUM
2 - 3 players
A medium goal completed in 20 posts (minimum) per player, that would result in gaining an advancement and potential to lose a weakness simultaneously. [e.g.advancement example]
Renown Boost: 10 points of renown
Flat XP Bonus: 50 XP
Quest posts are 350 words equals 1 XP.

Medium Quest Examples: Dismantling a drug lord's crime syndicate, saving an entire burning building full of people, stopping a villain from enacting evil, a villain escaping from the meta-prison.

HARD
4+ players
A large goal completed in 30 posts (minimum) per player, that would result in gaining a large advancement and guaranteed to lose a weakness simultaneously. [e.g.advancement example]
Renown Boost: 25 points of renown
Flat XP Bonus: 100 XP
Quest posts are 350 words equals 1 XP.

Hard Quest Examples: Stopping a potential world ending event, saving an entire city from an attack, a villain's opportunity could be to successfully take a city hostage, or step into a position of power.

Ask staff if you're unsure of which type of quest your plot line would fall under.

Quest Information

This is where you would put the goal that you're trying to achieve during the quest.

You would also add how many people you will need for this quest.

Rewards

Difficulty Level

Along with the difficulty level, you will need to list any additional rewards you would like to include, be it a trinket of unknown origin, or a weapon that you found or created in character.

Any and all additional rewards will need to be approved by a staff member. Some items may be declined due to rarity or complexity of the item.

Miscellaneous

Any additional fluff information you think you should include. You can even include what types of characters you would like to have involved in the quest.
