Carter tries not to stand out too much from the crowd, usually wearing very casual clothing that one would not bat an eye at, or notice at all. His physique is not exactly imposing at first glance either, though Carter's body has been honed during his time training in Tibet. His face is always clean shaven, eyes bright blue, topped with a medium length head of blonde hair. There is nothing about Carter's outward appearance that would give away his half-alien origins.


Granted he is not experiencing one of his mood swings, Carter is fairly easy to get along with. He is a kind and caring soul, always willing to help those in need despite his own ailments. Carter is often straight to the point, coming off as one-track minded, inconsiderate, and rude. He can also be selfish and spiteful, knowing when there is something to gain, and when someone should be left to their fate.


The alien genetics within Carter had all but taken over the human's mind completely. Each day was a constant struggle to hold onto his sanity, for it really was the last thing he had left. He had no family, no friends, and no place to call his own. He roamed the world as an outcast, refusing to sleep in fear of the creature taking over. At first Carter had thought the power he unlocked had been a gift, but all too late he had realized it was nothing but a curse.

The young man continued to venture the world in search of aid, eventually giving up on the West and heading to the East. There were many spiritual leaders that Carter sought the aid of, hoping that their teachings could possibly quell the immense hatred and lust for death within him. Most refused out of fear of the power that he possessed. Exerting every possible fiber of his human being, Carter would not give up, continuing to travel and seek out someone that could end the curse that was his existence. Going out into the open was a bad idea, for he was seen as a schizophrenic madman.

Sticking to the wild, Carter would end up busying himself with other things, continuing to concentrate and hold the creature back while honing his own powers, fighting off wild beasts and constructing temporary shelters with his great strength, in order to survive. Even though he managed to show slight progress with his psychological state, there were always moments where he just couldn't handle it. It laid waste to whatever area he happened to be in, as if his own presence wasn't enough damage. In his wake Carter left forests desolate, decorated only by burnt vegetation and bloodied corpses. One day on his journey, he arrived at a secluded monastery in Tibet.

They were kind and old, understanding and willing to take the man in, despite not believing his stories at first. Though once they witnessed his strength, they got to work quickly in organizing a meditation chamber for the him. During his time with the monks on the mountain top, Carter would usually isolate himself, sitting quietly in a dark room illuminated only by dim candles. The scent they gave off was calming and refreshing, allowing him to focus even further as his struggle continued. He would spend hours in a meditative trance after being taught how to enter it safely, his astral self being transferred to a dimension that was unknown to Carter. It was a dark world, one that was inhabited by the alien, who floated calmly over a vast sea of crimson liquid.

Their astral confrontations never resulted in actual combat, for it had always been a battle of the mind. The alien thirsted for death, fueled by a deeply seeded evolutionary hatred that was triggered by the sight of humanoids. Through their many heated debates and battle of wits, Carter was able to learn much about himself and his abilities, though it always seemed like the secrets of his past were locked behind some barrier, unable to be spoken of.

Through constant meditation and discipline, the monks were successful, bringing Carter's psyche more into balance, allowing him greater control and calm over his own being after many years. They were unable to provide him with answers as to why this happened to him, or what the full extent of his abilities were capable of. It mattered little to Carter however, as he felt like a new person entirely, and a new person he would strive to be. Perhaps there were people out there willing to accept and aid him on his path.

1. Durability: Being not of this Earth, Carter has several physical advantages over regular humans. His skin cells are incredibly durable, allowing him to easily shrug off shots from small firearms, and power through concentrated automatic ballistic rifle fire with ease. He can survive the impact of a fall from great heights, quick to recover depending on the intensity of the impact. Carter can even sustain himself while traveling in the freezing vacuum of space.

2. Strength: Carter has displayed great feats of strength on multiple occasions, at best able to level the tallest of redwood trees with the force of a single strike. His lifting capabilities are almost just as impressive, able to bench said redwoods with far more effort. When holding back, he can pick up and throw a regular human to the ground with ease. When Carter strikes with the full potential of his strength, it can create minor tremors in the immediate area, punching away or destroy most obstacles. This depends on the varying levels of durability said obstacles will possess, for example, punching through a concrete wall would be easy, whereas a forcefield would provide far more of a challenge.

3. Energy Manipulation: Carter is able to channel and control the unique bio-energy that his alien half possesses, often manifesting it around his clenched fists as a blazing aura of power that can enhance his strength. He can also manipulate the flow of the energy within, expelling it from his feet in order to take to the skies in flight. At top speed in the air, Carter is able to keep up with even the fastest of military jets. This energy can also be channeled through Carter's eyes, usually in times of extreme duress, used as optic-beams that pack a formidable kinetic punch able to blast away targets at close and long ranges, though the beams are not the fastest. If said target is strong and durable enough to resist the kinetic force, the friction from impact can cause intense heat over time.

4. Enhanced Speed: Carter is able to utilize his hybrid mind and body to their utmost extent, giving him the ability to move and function at incredible speeds. With a more in depth perception of real-time, Carter can see and keep track of those faster than himself, allowing a bit of time to prepare for attacks that might still be, ultimately, unavoidable.  He is able to react to and keep up with some speedsters on foot, moving at mach speeds in brief bursts to cover short distances only.



1. Heavy Artillery: Carter has only had experience with common Earth-based weaponry, finding that most of it has little effect on him. However, many variants of heavy artillery{Missiles, rockets, tank shells, grenades, etc) are capable of inflicting varying levels of damage upon Carter, to the point where he can be seriously injured, or even killed by constant damage over an extended period of time.

2. Energy Weaponry: Advanced energy weapons technology is far more capable of getting past Carter's durability than other methods, due to reaction that occurs when impacting with his alien half's bio-energy frequency. Whether it was produced by aliens or humans, flashy beams and lasers are bound to leave a mark on Carter. Though most bladed weaponry has no effect on Carter, energy swords and the like are also able to damage him.

3. Hybrid: Since Carter is largely compromised of human genetics, he can still be affected by more covert methods of harm. These include poisons, pheromones, and nerve agents when used en-masse. If deprived of basic sustenance(food, water, rest) Carter himself and his powers will weaken over time, making him far more vulnerable and weaker in general. In such a weakened state, even a blade or gunshot wound could prove lethal to Carter.

4. Mental Manipulation: Whether it be from a telepath or experienced mastermind, Carter is capable of being manipulated on some level, which would vary depending on the situation. Powerful psychics might be able to alter his perception or thoughts in some way, whereas less experienced users could scan surface-thoughts, emotions, and the like. Fully taking control of Carter and his unstable psyche is possible, requiring time and great pressure due to the alien nature of his mind.

He arrived at the college, pretty late. He was worried about what he had missed during the class, that was probably already half-over. He opened the door, entering the large building. He made his way to the class, opening the door, and closing it behind him. The class was completely silent, and everyone was staring at him. He nodded to his teacher, and a couple of friends he had known for awhile now. Why were they all staring at him so strangely? And where was his desk? "Sir, my seat is missing." Carter said, turning to the professor. "I think you have the wrong class." The man said. Carter laughed now. He had known Professor Dalton for years now. "Very funny, Professor." He said. Everyone was still quiet. "Get out of our class, idiot!" Someone yelled from the back of the class. Carter was just embarrassed now. He quickly turned, opened the class room door, and slammed it behind him. He went to the main office, and told them about his problem. The person at the computer checked for a Carter Chaplin, but found no records.
