The Looks

The Personality

Until commanded, the shades generally have no personality of their own. However, they throw themselves fully into their command and will not stop until it is completed.

The Story

Towards the end of his life, Elduin learned of ancient magic that would allow him to convert his army into, what was at the time, near unstoppable indestructible ghosts.

After transforming his army though, the tribes of man teamed up with his own subjects to overthrow Elduin. While his new army was able to hold off the forces, Elduin was eventually slain. The shades have mostly been inactive since then.

The Powers

Intangible - The shades can’t be touched through normal means.

Shadow Choke - The only other special ability of the shades is that of Shadow Choke, which allows them to force their shadowy forms down into ones lungs and smother them.

The Weaknesses

Light - Shades are made of shadows, so using light against them is super effective. Either dispelling the shadow entirely, or simply stunning them for a short time.

Necromancy - Much like their master, Necromancy is also incredibly strong against them and can wrestle control away from their master.

Magical Weaponry - Magical weaponry can dispel the creatures if struck on their necks.

Agarwaen Macil - Or the bloodstained blade, can destroy the creatures entirely no matter where they are struck.

The Fluff

While they are still made of shadow, and intangible; the shades can use weapons like a normal man.
