LA's Burning

Jackie walked down the street, dressed in her signature dressed, though she had a hoodey pulled over her head, she cast quick glances around the streets with a smile, waiting for the perfect time to get this party started...

Rebbecca found herself leaning against a wall in the usual cliche dark alley way, a cigarette hanging from her lips, her hair flat and natural. She puffed the cigarette, her right leg kicked up against the wall, her left arm wrapped around her breasts, her right hand holding the cigarette with elegance in between her fingers. She pulled it from her mouth and held the smoke in her mouth for a moment before exhaling, looking out of the alley and luckily catching a suspicious girl giving her a quick glance and smile. She wasn't sure what to make of that, she rose her brow at her, not really sure what that meant. She simply shrugged and thought nothing of it, returning to smoking her cigarette...

Jackie finally crossed into the middle of the street, she threw back her hoody as a car slammed on its breaks in front of her, the owner shouting obscenities at the young woman, she swept her eyes across the pedestrians, many stopped dead in their tracks, the world stilled for a moment, then Jackie let loose a sly chuckle, suddenly an middle aged man wearing s tight jacket and balding scowled, he picked up a rock laying nearby the curb and threw it through the nearest store window, shattering it, suddenly the world became a bevvy of action, everyone began shouting and trashing the closest building to them, her gaze missed Paine however, leaving her unaffected, Jackie merely smirked and chuckled

Rebbecca was relaxed, chilled out against the wall and smoking a cigarette, just enjoying life right now she guessed. The usual sounds of traffic, shouting and people filled her ears, she was use to it in the city by now, but things would soon be far different than what she was use to. Suddenly the sound of glass shattering rang through her ears, her head perking up, her eyes moving out of the alley, wondering what the hell that was. She stepped out of the alley and to her surprise utter chaos was breaking loose, a riot amongst the people of LA! It was unlike anything she had ever seen before, her eyes darted about the area, everywhere, everyone she looked at was attacking and vandalizing nearly everything in site. Her eyes fell onto the only person who seemed unaffected by all this, the one she assumed who caused it, an attractive brunette in the middle of the street, and she had a devious look on her face. Rebbecca liked that look...

Becca stepped towards her, digging her hands into her pockets, coming to a halt a few yards from the girl. "Hey you...The hell is going on here?"

Jackie looked a bit confusedly at the girl "you weren't affected?" she said a bit perplexed, she shook her head, "doesn't matter" she looked across the street with a quick sweep of her gaze, enraging a few who had escaped her gaze, she then turned back to the young woman "you haen't seen a display of superpowers before?" she said with a smile

Rebbecca inhaled one last puff before pulling the cigarette from her mouth and flicking it onto the floor, not bothering to put it out. Her eyes moved from the ground back to the girl, their eyes meeting, she could tell there was something special about her. "Affected?" She asked somewhat quietly to herself, raising her brow at Jackie. "Of course I have...Just...Not a power like that...The hell did you do to them?" She asked as her eyes darted about the riot.

"I free'd them" she smiled and laughed lightly, seeing the woman flick her cigarette away stirred the familiar craving inside of her, she pulled out a plastic bag from the pocket of her hoody and withdrew a joint from the mutiple ones tacked on top of the pile of pot inside the bag, she put the bag away and lit the end of the joint, taking a puff before speaking "I can incite a riot in pretty much whoever I look at, works a little less effectively on superheroes and shit, which is why im curious about you" she said

"Who said I'm a super hero...Tch..." She said coldly as she crossed her arms over hear breasts and averted, her eyes, closing them for a few moments. She opened up her left eye only, viewing her for a moment before closing it again, she noticed her joint, it kind of made her want to smoke again. She hadn't got to smoke pot in awhile, not since she had dumped that one guy anyway. Her eyes moved back to Jackie, opening up and revealing her bright blue optics. "Curious about me?" Now she wanted to know why she was so curious, her being curious made her curious, funny how that works.

"sorry for the offense" she chuckled, she took another puff and noticed the gaze, she merely waved her hand in a gesture that seemed to question if she wanted to partake, meanwhile the nearby buildings were trashed

Overhead, the sound of a Helicopter's rotors spinning could be heard. The side doors of it opened up, and Kiryu plummeted to earth nearbye, using his jets to slow his fall. The Metal Dragon looked around, assesing the situation. His words were projected through a built in megaphone:

"CEASE AND DESIST. DROP YOUR WEAPONS OR YOU WILL BE BROUGHT INTO CUSTODY. I AM AUTHORIZED TO USE DEADLY FORCE."

Rebbecca was a bit annoyed that her question had been ignored, but what ever, she almost extended her arm from it's crossed position but stopped when the sounds of helicopter's filled the area. Her eyes moved up to the sky, the bright lights of the chopper shining into her eyes, she lifted her right arm up to hide her eyes from the light. "God damn it...What now?" She shouted over the chopper, and then suddenly something strange and robotic dropped from the sky down towards them.

The Machine made it's entrance and Becca rose her brow, wait what? She didn't even do anything? "What the hell...?"

Kiryu Turned it's head and scanned Becca, trying to identify her. He didnt find any records on her, but she didnt seem to be causing much troulbe. He pointed at her.

"Please Evacuate to a safer area. "

"buzzkill" Jackie said coldly, she turned toward Paine "lend me a hand?" she asked with a smile, she turned back to the beast, suddenly the crowd stopped and turned, foaming at the mouth and wild-eyed they flew at the metal monster, picking rocks, shopping carts and anything else they could use to damage the thing, some of the ones with a greater grip on sanity threw molotov cocktails at the creature, Jackie hoped that since the thing was a government-type construct, it wouldn't harm the citizens assaulting it

Everything that was thrown at Kiryu did nothing. Barely a scratch. He wasnt liscenced to use deadly force just yet, but that still gave him options. His mouth opened, and fired the maser cannon. The device acted like a big damn taser, electrocuting,stunning, and incapacitating a good portion of the mob.

Rebbecca rose her brow at the two of them, she wasn't about to pick sides, not with out any knowledge on who either of these guys were, though honestly, picking between the cute brunette and the giant metal robot with guns pointed at her wasn't to hard, she would wait on that choice. "Hmm, Maybe..." She said a soft chuckle at her, simply standing there and watching.
