Joined a while ago, but I might as well be new

Hi everybody, I'm DragonFly. I joined this site a long time ago but circumstances at the time took me away from it. In fact, I didn't even get my first character up and running. I lost track of the site some time ago but just recently rediscovered it so here I am 2 years later! I plan on sticking around a lot longer this time. I reread through the rules and everything but I've got a few questions. Is there a FAQ section somewhere? I'd hate to ask questions that have already been answered.

My first question is in regards to Alternate accounts. Is there a system to make sub-accounts, or would I need to make a new regular account for each of my characters?

Would I be eligible for a name change seeing as I haven't made a character yet? I named my account after a character I was going to make but now I don't know whether or not I will. I've got a couple ideas for characters, and the answer to this question and the previous one will dictate whether I do them one by one or at the same time.

My last question is in regards to the ability of teleportation. The Rulebook says no teleportation but the Restricted Powers and Weaknesses List says teleportation is mildly restricted. I was just wondering if the ability was available or not.

The ability depends on the person and who is using it.

It also depends on how the power is being used and how it's being written by the RPer.

Cause we've had some kids in the past just state "They can teleport" with no depth to the power and then used it to pull a classic

*teleports behind you* "It's nothing personal kid" *stabs in the back*

Ya know?

Also, name changes can be done, no issue.

And I personally use 1 account for all of my characters. You are more than welcome to use multiple accounts.

But to answer your main question: no, there's no sub-account option on SHRP.

Thanks for the clarification. I can see how teleportation can be a bit iffy. I assure I don't intend to make my character that edgy. I want to create a teleporter because I like the power and I think it would make for an interesting character. In no way do I want a cheap way to get hits on people. Besides, I'm sure someone with a speedster could try and pull that same trick. As for the accounts, I think I'll just follow your example and have one account. I'm probably going to just focus on one character for the time being anyway. Thanks again for all the help.

Hey! Welcome to the community...again! As Chelle said, we do have a discord and you will find a good portion of us are more active there than on the OOC parts of the website. It's honestly the best way to get more info and stuff. But hey! If you don't wanna join that's fine. I think we can still interact here, yeah?

Personal Question: What is your favorite type of music?

Thanks for the welcome! I might give the discord a try one of these days but for now I'll just stick with the forum. As for your question, I don't really have a favorite type of music. I listen to whatever I think sounds good, but I guess hip-hop/Rap and RnB would be my top picks.
