You see a person who omits a blue light. His suit would look like something of from a disco club or a video game. He is a weird looking figure. Dressed like a ninja. He carries a sword behind his back. Yet he doesn't strike fear considering his glass mask displays a smiley.  

He waves at you before he walks toward to a nearby wall, his suit turning blue and enters the wall and disappear again.


Daniel display two different personas.

As just Daniel, he is quiet and anti-social. He prefer his privacy and solitude. There is an aura of boredom and lack of energy in his pose. While he often claim that this is how he is in public life, it may just be a mask just keep people from suspecting him. That or he may be telling the truth. Or that he may just be one lonely soul who craves for a purpose in his life.

As Phaser, he is talkative, loud and reckless. He is always excited to meet new heroes to befriend. A person can tell the state of his mood by the emoticon that he displays on his helmet. There is innocence in his behavior but nevertheless his inexperience, youth and gong-ho personality can be more trouble than they are worth. He refuses to be acknowledged by his public name and prefer to be addressed by his superhero name. If nothing else, it seems like Daniel prefer his life as Phaser over his real identity.


Daniel Hayden is born to a wealthy family. His family is often away on business trip, leaving Daniel alone and by himself most of the time. Because he is home-schooled, he doesn't have a lot of friends beside those online. As a way to deal with his loneliness, Daniel spend his days practicing Kendo and building and tinkering with stuff.

One day he ordered some mech parts online in order to build a portable hologram projector for movies. In that day, there were two boxes delivered. One was for him. After he picked up his box, he started building his projector only to discover that instead of projecting an image, his hand briefly turned blue and he is able to phase his hand through his working table. Excited by his new discovery, Daniel kept this a secret and started building a phasing suit using this technology.

Seeking more excitement in his life, Daniel dons his suit and named himself Phaser and began fighting crimes.

The questions of the equipment that let him built his suits remains unanswered for now....

Genius Intelligence: Daniel is quite smart. He built his own suit and has an easy time learning how to use most types of machines. He also built his own gadgets to aid him in his crime fighting. Though he rarely display his intelligence as Phaser.

Swordsman: In order to drown his boredom, Daniel practice Kendo in his public life. He is a capable swordsman. He deploy this skill when he don his superhero persona. His skills has helped him with fighting many street criminals.



Human: Phaser is still human. Anything that can bypass his phasing has a chance of severely damaging and killing him. He is also weakened by his senses. He can't react or move quicker than a full superhuman. Nor does his injury heal faster or even properly heal depending on the injuries. Phaser doesn't always have phasing mode on since he has to converse the battery, meaning that Phaser has to react quick enough to activate the suits power and it is not often that he can react in time.


Phasing-Suit: Befitting his name, Phaser has a suit that lets him phase through matters. This is his main power. He can easily phase through walls and another person's body. This gives him great defensive capabilities. His phasing can also affect others. For example, by standing between a wall, he can essentially create a door for his comrades to enter. In addition, the suit is waterproof.

There are two vital part of the suit. The hands and the belt. Phaser activate the suit's powers from his hands. There are buttons that let him activate his powers. The right hand active his phasing as long as he keep pressing it. The left hand activate his phasing mode a constant state. The belt are where the main battery is. If both of these parts remains undamaged and online, Phaser can keep using his powers since his phasing is more like creating a field of energy around Phaser that lets him phase. As for its durability, the suit is not fully made for combat. Phaser is not protected by blunt attacks and bullets will pierce through him if he is caught off guard. Phaser hope to upgrade his suit to provide him better protection in the future.

Phaser has also installed a helmet on his suit. It can display a variety of emoticons as a way to communicate his mood. Just like his suit, it is waterproof.

Weaknesses:
Despite the suit's advanced capabilities, there are several weaknesses that Phaser's enemies can exploit.

Limited Suit-Energy Capacity: Phaser can't use his suit forever. Sooner or later, he has to recharge it. He can use the suit for a maximum of 12 hours. If he keeps the Phasing Mode on, the suit can only last 6 hours. He can extend the time limit of an additional 2 hours if he carries emergency batteries on him or prepared an emergency mode which lets him use the suit for just 30 minutes.  

Vulnerable to Magic: His suit may make him immune to many mundane danger. If the danger is magical, Phaser is vulnerable. For example, if a magical fireball is thrown at  Phaser, he can be expected to be damaged and blown away by it.

Vulnerable to Technology Some technology can shut off or bypass Phaser's suit. An example is an EMP. Shutting off his suit leaves Phaser vulnerable and it takes quite a while to turn on the suit again.

Lack of suit protection: Phaser's suit is not made for combat. Thus it can be damage if Phaser is caught off guard. Also it doesn't offer any protection, meaning that Phaser can be injured by bullets, blunt and slashing attacks.

Beside the suit's prime powers, there are a few additions to aid Phaser's in his work. Phaser can installed one of three functions into his gloves. He can only use one at a time. There are:

Stun Gloves: Phaser can use this glove to stun an opponent by shocking him. This is also a useful weapon against machines.

Weakness: However its uses are limited. Phaser can only use it three times in each hand before it needs to recharge.


Spider Gloves: These gloves help Phaser climb on walls. These are his favorite gloves. Since it doesn't require a lot of energy and he enjoys the excitement of climbing on walls.

Weakness:However the gloves aren't perfect. It can't climb on glass walls very well, Also the gloves only help Phaser to climb the wall, it doesn't actually provide any strength. Thus how high and how long Phaser can climb depends on his natural strength.

Power Glove: When there is a situation that requires strength, Phaser has Power Gloves that makes him capable of punching and lifting maximum 1 ton.

Weakness: However, this is his least favorite glove since he seriously risk injuring his arms. Also this glove requires a lot of energy and thus can only be used one times in each hand.







"Mark my word, villain! If I see you again on this street, I will personally drag you to the nearest police station!" Phaser pointed at the thug who tried to rob a girl's purse several minutes ago. Phaser was in the area when the crime took place. It wasn't a difficult fight. Actually it was far too easy. The moment that he phased out of the wall like a blue ghost instantly made the thug and the girl screamed in horror.

Before he know it, the girl managed to snatch her purse and ran away while the thug crumbled to the ground and pleaded for mercy. Phaser was annoyed. He hoped for a more exciting heroic work, but this wasn't what he wanted. Phaser didn't even bother taking him to the police. Yes! Yes! You won't see me again!" The thug said. Phaser made a gesture for him to leave and the thug immediately ran away.

Phaser kept his eyes on the thug until he disappeared. Then he shrug and continued his patrol.
