Ashes (Phoenix, Arizona)(Ally, Anthony, Invites)

Martyr had been in Chicago for a bit too long, the crime and corruption had begun to seep into his veins. Although, he certainly wasn't helping that of course, but he did decide to go ahead and try to trash someone else's city for once. Between the Martyrmobile, the jet boots, and a ton of walking to gas stations, Martyr made it to Phoenix in 3 days; and he only got stabbed twice.

The day was very, very hot. Martyr ended up having to shed his torn up trench coat, for a thin hoodie, ditching his hat entirely and leaving it at the motel. He also switched to shorts which showed off his pale Canadian calves. He wore a pair of sunglasses, and a black bandana. He would've looked so much like a drug dealer, that someone was more than likely to get offers of drugs for money. If it weren't for the fact he was laying down on a beach chair in a Wendy's parking lot. Actually, that didn't stop a pair of teenage employees asking him for a dimebag of weed.

He was just about to leave, when a pair of cops came up to him. "Sir, we're gonna need you to move." They said. "I'll say, you guys are blocking my sun." Martyr said like a smartass before gesturing them to move. "Sir, don't be an assho-..." Suddenly, in the east came an angel floating from heaven above.

Floating from "heaven above" was a bit of an exaggeration, to say the least.

Ally had been at the Wendy's, getting a drink and a Frosty for the road. She'd just arrived in Phoenix, having caught wind of there being a meta around. While she thought about it, she hadn't necessarily been on task to "recruit" the said meta. Though, she wasn't against it. As she stepped out of the building, she quickly noticed the disruption between the police and... had he been sunbathing in a parking lot?

"What's going on?" she questioned as she walked over, looking between the cops and the guy. He didn't seem to be bothered by their presence, though they for sure did. Ally couldn't blame them, he did seem to be causing a disturbance. There was also a possibility that he could be on drugs. Ally didn't throw that option out.

Anthony drove up in a old beat up pickup. He stepped out wearing a long coat with a hood. He slowly walked past the commotion in front of the Wendys. A soft metallic clanging could be heard as he walked inside.

The angel walked out of a Wendy's as she came into his view, Ashley finding himself enthralled almost immediately. He smiled nonchalantly. "Don't worry about it," He said and extended a hand to shake towards her. "My name is Ashley, and yours?"

To anyone with even a minor sense of human emotion, Ashley was obviously not sweating just because of the heat. He was clearly doing his best to avoid making a social faux pas. However, the police officers were less than impressed. "Listen lady, I have half a mind to lock you up for interrupting a police officers investigation. So why don't you just shove off?" With that he placed a hand on his gun, and turned off the safety. His partner followed his move, although less gung ho about it.

With a quick narrowed-eyed glance to Ashley, Ally turned her attention back to the officers. Did they really just turn their guns off of safety? What was she going to do, ask them questions in a menacing way? This annoyed her quite a bit. "I was only asking questions," she spoke in a sort of snobbish manner, but not enough to actually be a snob. "Besides... don't you think that's a tad extreme? Do I seem threatening to you?" She glared at the officers, crossing her arms. She paid little attention to the man of the hour, she'd deal with him later.
