Yes I joined on Christmas Day

Hi! I'm Robinwing! I've been lurking my way around the site a while, but I've only now gotten myself an account in preparation of jumping aboard, hopefully when my internet settles down in a couple of days. (Just moved house, wi-fi's been a nightmare)

Anyway, I'm kicking around ideas for my first character before I dive in. I like the idea of playing a sweetheart alien lass, but the picture I want to use is from an animated show and I'm not sure I'm allowed to do that. I'm having the devil's own task finding a live action one that I like (So many blue buxom women in bikinis, why). I'll figure something out, even if that's to go for a different character concept.

Hi there Robinwing. First off, welcome to the site! We're always happy to see new members joining.

Secondly you are perfectly fine using an image from an animated TV show or whatever else you want to use. We have no restrictions as far as animated or live action images for characters. So happy writing and if you have any questions feel free to post in here or PM me or one of the other members of the staff.

She looks good to me (I'm also Rozmer lol). Your first character has been approved! Just keep in mind like I said in the app that her empathy will be permission based (you'll need to make sure it's okay with the other RPers in a thread to be used on their characters). But that shouldn't be a problem, most of us here are pretty laid back about that sort of thing.

Grand! Now I just need to decide where exactly she landed.

Side note, I know the existence of extra terrestrials is known for certain in the lore, but how widely known is it? Like, just for instance, would a crashed extra terrestrial vehicle be reported on the evening news or would the Men in Black quietly cart it away to Area 51?

I mean that's mostly up to you and it could really go either way. We've had multiple alien PCs on the site and they've been received with varying levels of hostility or acceptance based on a number of factors. So ultimately it's up to you how her crash landing is recieved. I'd probably say it's a breaking news kind of situation in one way or another regardless.
