Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
It had been a busy night for the boys in blue down at the Los Angeles police department. Calls of robbery’s and homicides flooded the hotlines as tipsters from around town filed reports. Try as they might, The LAPD couldn’t keep up with the calls and to make matters worse, one of their squadrons was in the middle of a hot pursuit. The fleet of police cars chased a supped up ’69 dodge charger through the evening traffic. A small group of bold gangbangers took it upon themselves to make a forceful withdraw from a local bank. To make matters worse, the thieves were heavily armed and were not shy in using their excess ammo for a little target practice.
The police were in some serious need of help and as they small fleet of cars zoomed past a dark alleyway, the prayers of the officers would be answered. Or perhaps someone else was listening out for them. A single solitary headlight flickered to life in the depths of the alley, followed by a few sporadic revs of a powerful motorcycle engine. The screeching of tires would fill the air as a pitch black sports bike would erupt from the alleyway and out into traffic.
The bike had little trouble catching up to the small squad of cop cars, and eventually pulled alongside the head car’s driver side door. The officer looked out his window to see who was mad enough to drive so recklessly. A blue eyed woman was at the helm of the bike and as she began to pull away from the cop’s, she gave the driver a cheeky wink before the tires of her bike and what seemed like her whole body burst into flames. The woman on the bike was none other than Penny Quartermain, local bar owner and sole champion of Arcadia. After winking at the cop, Penny gave a sharp tug on the handlebars of her bike and reared it up into a wheelie.
The lead officer ended up crashing in fright at the sight of Arcadia’s rider which in turn led to a multicar pile up. This was something Penny was hoping for. With the police, out of the way, it was just the flaming skeleton and the lowly gangbangers. Penny had them all to herself.
The chase would eventually come to an end as the thugs retreated to a rundown garage on the edge of the city. The four men huddled at the back of the garage, graveling over their haul. Suddenly their attention was redirected to the opening of the garage as the black bike Penny had been riding, seemingly flew in out of nowhere and crushed one of the thugs against the back wall. The remaining thugs tried to scatter like the roaches they were but were immediately seized by several metal chains. Penny emerged from the darkness in all her flaming skeleton glory. The thugs immediately recognized her from the stories that had been traveling around the city about a monster than had been brutally murdering gang members.
The men begged and pleaded with the nightmare before them, but were met with silence. That silence was immediately interrupted when Penny’s cellphone began to ring. It was Madeline, the demon queen and goddess of war that she served.
“Penny for your thoughts!”
“That has got to be the corniest hello I have ever heard. I’m slightly embarrassed now, knowing I know you irl.”
Penny let out a small sight, her nonexistent eyes rolled in her empty sockets. “I’m a bit busy right now, is there something you needed?”
“Actually there is. Your looking after a very dear friend of mine today. I expect you to behave. And if anything happens to her, I will kill you.”
There was an aggressive click on the other end of the line as Penny pocketed her phone. It looked like she wasn’t going to be having as much fun tonight as she thought. Not wanting to upset Madeline or this mystery friend, Penny wrapped things up quickly with the three thugs and then sped off into the night back to her bar where she’d meet up with her mystery date.
Penny arrived at her bar about half an hour after the phone call with Madeline and burst in through the back door, not even bothering to take off all her bike gear except for her helmet. She rushed behind the bar, dropped her helmet in a small compartment and went right for a bottle of the hardest stuff she had on stock. Penny wasted little time in laying into the bottle of booze as she awaited Madeline’s guest. “I’ll be fucking damned if I’m not getting a round or two in before I have to play babysitter.” she said to herself as she kept her crystal blue eyes locked on the front door of the bar.

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
Quinn turns to watch as a whole fleet of cop cars roar past her, chasing after a single lone car that was more than happy to fire potshots out the back of the car. She catches one of the bullets that was heading for her tiny companion, tossing it away before taking her companion's hand and continuing her walk, heading in the general direction towards the bar that Madeline had told her about. Of course, she wasn't exactly unnoticed by the seedy elements of the city, seeing as how she was talking a walk at night, just with herself and a child..
It wasn't long before the little girl started to get sleepy, seeing as how she has been awake far past her bedtime. Quinn looks down at the little girl and just picks her up, letting her fall asleep. Unfortunately for the men that had decided that now was the perfect time to mess with the two, seeing as how Quinn is now forced to hold on the little one she was carrying. Quinn turns around to look when she hears someone call out to her and tilts her head to one side. Seeing as how they seem to want to do something not nice to her, she thinks for a moment before turning and running away, the bar where Penny was not very far away at this point and Quinn isn't one to do something that might hurt a child even if it would be tons of fun to rough them up right then.
Whatever Penny was expecting to come through her door after Madeline's call, she couldn't have expected a small girl carrying a young child to burst through her door, almost kicking it off of its hinges as she enters. Quinn looks around at the smoke covered room and frowns, snatching a cigarette out of someone's hand and crushing it, not even feeling the heat. "No smoking inside." Ignoring the man after she gave him the warning, she skips over to where Penny was sitting and gives her a smile. "Hey, are you Penny? Madeline told me about you. Can you really turn into a flaming skeleton?"
As Quinn was talking to Penny, she was drawing some runes onto the bar, having pulled a pen out of nowhere. A moment later the wind gathered up and rushed around the bar, gathering up all of the smoke and shoving it out the door, which then slammed shut rather loudly. "That is better. Now they should stop smoking before I make them stop. There is a child here." Finding a place to put down the tired child, Quinn pats her while grabbing one of the menus and giving it a glance over. Upon not finding finding a children's menu in it she tosses it back down and looks over at Penny. "You should make something for the little one. She needs something to eat."
Penny is never going to get drunk enough for this visit.

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
Penny knew she was in for one hell of a night the moment the front door of her bar was nearly kicked off its hinges by a young pink haired girl. The shot glass that had been approaching Penny’s lips slowly sank back down and landed with a soft thud on the hard wood top of the bar. “You have got to be fucking kidding me” she mumbled under her breath as the young girl approached the bar, but not before forcibly snatching a cigarette out of a patrons mouth and smashing it in the palm of her hand. Not that Penny’s eye sight was bad or anything, but it took Quinn getting nearly right up to the bar, for the blonde bar owner to realize that the young girl was not alone. Tucked tightly in her other arm was a small child.
Penny’s bar didn’t have any bouncers posted at the front door namely because Penny took care of all the riffraff herself and no kids had ever so brazenly waltzed in to the bar before, that’s how she was certain that the young girl was the ‘friend’ Madeline had talked about. Rather than pouring another shot, Penny brought the bottle to her lips and began to chug. She could already tell that tonight was going to call for a dangerous amount of alcohol if she was going to make it through the night. The blonde had only gotten in about to gulps when she quickly removed the bottle from her lips and sprayed the floor next to her with the hard liquor as the pink haired girl brought up Penny’s quote unquote pastime. Two of the girls behind the bar and several of the patrons sitting around the pink haired girl quickly snapped their attention towards the two girls. Penny quickly leaned in and whispered to the girl in a hushed tone. “Keep it down will ya?!”
Things only continued to get strange as the young girl pulled a pen out of her pocket and began to scribble on the bartop. No sooner had she finished writing, a gust of wind whipped up out of nowhere and whisked all the smoke out the front door of the bar before slamming it shut. “Hey don’t do that! This bar’s expensive!” Penny shouted in protest a bit too late. The champion of Arcadia was beginning to lose her cool and was beginning to wonder just how serious Madeline was about the whole killing her part if anything were to happen to the young girl. Penny stepped away from the girl and small child for a brief moment, in order to instruct her cooks to make something decent for her guest.
Penny then returned to the young girl and child and leaned against the bar nonchalantly “So uh….My names Penny….what’s yours? And who is your little friend there?”

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
After making sure the child isn't going to fall off while she waits for her food, Quinn takes a seat beside the child. Looking around the bar with interest, she notices that the smoke was already starting to fill the bar back up. Taking a moment to draw something on the back of the child's chair the wind picked up again, though not nearly as strong as it was before. Nodding mostly to herself after she made sure the child wouldn't have smoke swarm her, Quinn finally turned her attention back to Penny. "Oh I am sorry. Do you want money for the bar? I do not have any of the bills that you used but I can give you this..."
Quinn puts her hand over the bar, palm down, and smiles at Penny as gold coins just appear in the air and drop down. They make a nice clinking sound as the amount rapidly grows until they start to drop from the bar to the floor. "Is that enough? I can always make you more, it would not be a problem." Not really caring what happens to the mass of gold in front of her, Quinn just shoves it away from her so that she has enough room on the counter-top if she decides to eat something. "I am Quinn, Madeline has told me a lot about you. It seemed interesting so I came down here to see for myself. As for the little girl, I have no idea. Someone was dragging her into a van and I stopped them from taking her. Since I was coming here, I took her with me."
Quinn reaches over and pats the little girl on the head a couple of times. "She is adorable, I almost want to take her home with me." After fussing over the child for another moment, Quinn looks around the bar again. "Do you have anything else to do here? I thought it would be more exciting than this. Do you not have bar fights? That would be interesting." Quinn just ignores the fact that everything she does seems to cause Penny to start drinking even more, not really worried about it. Instead, she keeps glancing around the bar to find something that would catch her interest.

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
This whole situation was unbelievable, the girl Madeline had sent for Penny to watch over was magical. Upon hearing Penny’s disdain for Quinn’s defilement of the bar top, the young pink haired girl held her arm out over the counter and a mass of gold coins began to appear out of seemingly nowhere. Penny stared in both confusion and awe as the mounting gold began to spill over. Penny’s arm silently shifted towards the pile and scooped it over the backside of the bar into her motorcycle helmet before placing it back under the counter. Penny began to knock back another swig from the bottle of rum she had been desperately clinging to, only to release another spray of alcohol all over the ground once more when Quinn exclaimed she had kidnapped the kid from a kidnapper.
“YOU WHAT! You can’t just go around abducting children! That little girl probably has a family.” she said with full concern. Her crystal blue eyes shifted from Quinn to the bottle of rum in her hands…..She was definitely going to need something extremely stronger.
The large open bar began to slowly fill back up with smoke as time passed. Many of the patrons chose to ignore Quinn’s initial warning and began to light up their cigarettes shortly after the girl and small child had settled in at the bar. As the bar filled back up with the thick fog, Penny noticed the pink haired girl scribble on the back of the stool the small child was propped up in. A magical gust sprung to life and swirled around the child, creating a smoke free zone. Seeing this, Penny knew it would be best if she closed for the night, she’d lose out on some money, but it would probably be for the better.
The eccentric bar owner stepped out from her spot behind the bar, bottle of rum still clinched tightly in her hand. “Alright everyone! Last call. We’re closing early tonight.”
Penny’s announcement was met with a series of sighs and groans. None of the people in the bar seemed to put up much protest however, as they all respected Penny deeply and knew giving her a hard time would only result in broken bones. The patrons slowly but surely began to file out of the bar little by little until the only remaining visitors were Madeline’s friend. By the time everyone had shuffled out, the food the girl had requested was ready. Penny grabbed the plate from the window and walked it down to the little girl and placed it down in front of her. “There you go little one.”
After serving the small child Penny gathered her staff in the kitchen and paid them all for the night before dismissing them and joining Quinn and the child back at the bar. With the large crowd and staff now missing from the building, things were a lot quieter and a lot more dull. The blonde biker let out a sigh as she looked around the empty bar; Quinn was right, things were boring. Penny turned back to Quinn and leaned back on the counter behind the bar where the expensive booze were. She downed a couple more sips of the rum before breaking the silence. “When the kid is done eating we need to work on getting her home. Her parents are no doubt worried that she’s missing….If they’ve even noticed at all.”

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
Quinn frowns at Penny, wondering why she was so disagreeable, "Why not? It is not like they are good parents if they let their child wander around at this time of night by themselves. It is not like they could stop me anyway." Quinn was more than ready to violently murder the little girl's parents so that she could take her home. Not that she would if they proved that they were good parents, only doing whatever she needs to protect the little one.
While the other patrons slowly streamed out of the bar, Quinn was amusing herself by spinning in circles on one of the bar stools. She kept glancing around the room as the little girl munched on her food, trying to find anything to keep herself from getting bored as she waited for Penny to finish whatever it is she was doing in the back room. It wasn't long before they all got out the door and left the room much emptier than it was before. Noticing that Penny had a jukebox in one of the corners, she hops down off of the stool and wanders over to it. Taking a moment to go through the songs that it had, she frowns when she doesn't find anything that she likes to listen to. Pulling out her trusted marker one more time, Quinn draws a series of symbols on the jukebox, causing it to turn on and start to play a song that wasn't even a choice.
As the music flows through the room, Quinn goes back to her seat and flops back on it. She had just started to spin around again when Penny walked back into the main room. Giving the biker a small wave and a smile, Quinn had just started to nod her head to the music when Penny brought up taking the girl back home again. Rolling her eyes, Quinn starts to pout a little. "Fine, we will go find her parents when she gets done eating. However, if they are bad parents I am going to take her." Giving Penny the same smile she uses when she asks if someone wants to play a game, Quinn makes her stance known.
It actually didn't take that long for the little girl to finish her plate of food, after which she starts to nod off in her chair. Quinn gently picks her up, letting her go to sleep while being carried. "So, shall we go find her parents? Do you even know where we should start? You wanted to take her back home so you must have a plan, right?" She stares at Penny as she waits for her to take the lead, ignoring the chaos that Quinn had already left in the bar behind her.

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
Quinn’s logic began to make Penny’s head throb. The eccentric bar owner brought her hand up to her face and began to massage the bridge of her nose. While Quinn wasn’t entirely wrong in thinking the parents didn’t deserve the child, especially after letting the little girl roam around at night, it was still their child and Quinn didn’t have the right to just snatch the poor thing right off the street….even if it was a rescue attempt. Penny looked on as the little girl nibbled on the food that was prepared for her. The little thing hadn’t even let out so much as a peep all night, which was strange in its own right, but everything about tonight had been strange.
The notion only made Penny want to drink more, and that’s exactly what she did while she waited for the small child to finish eating. Turning around for just a moment, Penny grabbed a bottle of rum and a bottle of scotch and poured them both into a large silver canister. At this point she didn’t care if the two liquors went together or not, she just wanted to get plastered enough to forget this night ever happened. After mixing the two drinks together, Penny spun around and took a curious look at Quinn as she took to tending to the little girl as she began to doze off. “I guess it’s a little late to be asking if you’re hungry or thirsty?” She shrugged her shoulders and pounded the mixture as quick as she could before walking out from behind the bar.
“I didn’t bring my car today, so we’ll have to hoof it. But I’m thinking we should probably start looking for her home in the area you found her.” The young blonde woman placed her hands on her hips and nodded her head, satisfied with the soundness of her plan. With that decided she’d lead the two girls out the front door, before locking it behind them and then heading off down the boardwalk. In the back of her mind all Penny could think about was how badly things were likely to get now that they were out on the road, if the few moments in the bar were any example.
The notion only made Penny want to drink more, and that’s exactly what she did while she waited for the small child to finish eating. Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
Quinn just stands there for a minute before she figures out that Penny was waiting for her to retrace her steps. Having figured out what she has to do, Quinn shifts the weight of the child still in her arms before setting off towards where she found her. Quinn hummed a tune as they traveled towards the place that she found the little girl, enjoying the fact that they are at least doing something, even if she doesn't want to.
Seeing as how they had a scary blonde biker with them, they weren't even bothered by the goons that had thought about jumping Quinn before. Since they didn't have to worry about anyone jumping out at them, it wasn't long before they managed to get back to the general area that Quinn had grabbed the girl from. When they turned the corner instead of finding the abandoned van, Quinn and Penny instead found that there was a bunch of police cars with their lights flashing,
Quinn tilts her head and turns to Penny. "I found her over there, by where the cops are. They were pulling her into the van that the police are going through." Quinn hadn't mentioned that when she saved the little girl, she may have violently murdered the two kidnappers that were trying to grab her. "Now that we are here, how are we going to find her parents? Maybe they are in one of the houses over there, by where the police are." Quinn points over at a few of the houses right by where the van was, completely ignoring the fact that she now had a kidnapped child in her arms and was now the person that the police were looking for.

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
The slight breeze and cool night air was a fresh change of scenery compared to the stuff smoke filled bar that Penny ran. The blonde woman took in a deep lung full of the cool air. The sensation was nice and something Penny hadn’t stopped to do in a long time. Ever since her life had spiraled out of control before being put back together by a demon goddess, Penny hadn’t fully taken the time to slow down and enjoy the little things. Despite enjoying the moment, and the stillness of the night, Penny still couldn’t bring herself to not drink. Retrieving a small silver flask from the inner pocket of her coat, she took a quick swig.
Penny followed the pink haired girl around town for a little while before they finally turned a corner into a small dead end street. If Penny’s skeleton wasn’t indestructible, she might have managed to drive her palm through her skull from the sight laid out before her. The van quinn had described earlier was still parked on the side of the road, however, there was one little detail the girl had failed to mention, and that was the two bodies that were now being examined by a coroner while being surrounded with a small squad of officers.
Penny reached out and attempted to pull Quinn out of sight by leading her to the side of a nearby house. “Is there anything you’d like to tell me?” she said, alluding to the police that were now scouring the cul de sac. Penny reached back into her jacket and drew out her small flask of alcohol. She went to take a swig from the flask but was only met with disappointment. She let out a sigh and held the flask away from her mouth only to see that she had already blown through her only salvation in getting through with this night.
Everything about tonight continued to test the young woman’s patients to the point where she began to bite the inside of her cheek as she tried to figure out how to proceed from her. The major obstacle right now was remaining undetected by the police. Then there was the issue of figuring out which house the girl belonged to. Penny then gave a small nod to the child that was currently nestled up in Quinn’s arms. “She could tell us which house is hers. Then When we know where she belongs, I could cause a distraction so you could return her home without being caught. Sound like a decent enough plan?”

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
After being grabbed by Penny and dragged off behind one of the houses, Quinn turns and looks at Penny. Kind of annoyed at not being able to do her plan of just walking up to the police with a kidnapped child, she frowns at the blonde biker. Clearly confused at what Penny was getting at, she tilts her head slightly. "What do you mean? I already told you where I found the girl. Is there something else you want to know?" If there is one thing that Quinn doesn't mind, it's violently murdering two guys who were in the middle of hurting a child. When Penny went to take a swig of her drink and found the container was empty, Quinn helpful created a bottle of booze and handed it off, always glad to help one of her friend's people.
Quinn nods helpfully when Penny goes over her plan, but sees some points where they could hit some problems. "No, it does not. She is asleep, so she would not be able to tell us anything. Furthermore I do not believe she is able to speak, since she has not spoken a word since I picked her up. Also, we do not even know if she lives in this area. I only found her when they were trying to pull her into the van after all."
Thinking about how to get the child back to her parents, Quinn comes up with the greatest idea ever. "I am going to go ask the police if they are looking for a lost child. They will be able to help us find her parents." Without waiting to see what Penny thinks about the greatest idea ever, Quinn starts to head off towards where the squad of police officers are.

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
Quinn’s spontaneity was almost too much for Penny to bare, but her ability to magically create things out of thin air was definitely a welcomed commodity. As the blonde bar keep accepted the freshly produced bottle of booze, she took what Quinn said into consideration. It was true the little girl had not uttered a single word since Quinn had brought her to the bar, but Penny chalked that up to the child being in such a traumatic experience. The two were in quite a pickle, or at least Penny was, seeing as she was the only worried about getting the girl back to her parents. If it wasn’t for her, there was no doubt in her mind that Quinn would have ‘adopted’ the small child.
*She isn’t homeless is she?* Penny thought to herself. Quinn did have a good point, just because she found the girl in this area didn’t exactly mean that any one of these homes that lined the dead-end street were the little girls home. Before the blond biker could strategies further, Quinn took it upon herself to ask the police for help. Penny’s arm shot forward to grab the pink haired girl by the shoulder, but it was too late. Quinn was well on her way to walking up to a crime scene she created, with a child that was more than likely declared missing.
With a loud sigh Penny slowly crept out from behind the house, still clutching the bottle of booze close to her chest. She followed Quinn at a distance, not wanting the police to see her face, she clung to the shadows. It didn’t take long for some of the policemen on the perimeter of the crime scene to notice the pink haired girl approaching them. Penny quickly noticed that the laid back officers were now standing at attention and were slowly advancing on Quinn. The Rider of Arcadia could only see this scenario playing out one way. With a reluctant sigh she began to unscrew the cap on the bottle of booze she was desperately clinging to. “Madeline’s going to owe me big time after tonight.” the young blonde mumbled to herself before taking a swig from the bottle of alcohol.

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
As Quinn approaches the officers, they notice her and straighten up before starting to approach her. She just gives them a smile, adjusting the little girl in her arms as she walks straight towards them. Once they get withing easy talking distance, they tell her to stop, making sure she stays a good distance away from the van. "Excuse me ma'am, this is a crime scene. You need to turn around and go back."
Quinn stops when they ask, not having a reason to do otherwise. "I need to ask you a question though." The officer just points back the way she had come from. "I'm sorry, but you need to go back. We have work to do and now you're in the way." Quinn frowns a little, finding that the officers were being mean, she just wants them to answer some questions after all. She decides to give it another go. "I really need to ask some questions."
The officer once again tries to shoo her away. "You need to leave or I will have to arrest you." Quinn just tilts her head while thinking for a moment, then decides that trying to force them to answer her questions now could cause the child in her arms to get hurt. Giving the two officers a bright smile she nods. "Okay, I hope you have lots of fun." With that being said, she turns around and goes back towards where she left Penny, leaving the two confused officers behind.
Once she walks back to where Penny was, Quinn finds the blonde biker gone. Looking around a bit, Quinn finds a rather glaring lack of Penny around to ask what to do next. Frowning, she looks down at the little girl in her arms, wondering what she is going to do now. She doesn't have much experience in finding the parents of lost children after all.

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
Penny watched on in silent terror and anticipation and Quinn approached the police officers. She was far back enough that she couldn’t clearly make out what they were talking about, but from the looks of it, the officer was getting a little on edge. Penny’s grip tightened around the neck of the glass bottle ready to do something rash if the situation called for it. Eventually Quinn started to walk back towards Penny’s location, from the looks of things it seemed as though the police officers hadn’t recognized the little girl, which made Penny think that perhaps the child didn’t have a home after all. That, or the officers were just too stupid to realize that their missing person just so happened to be just an arms length away.
Regardless of the situation, Penny had been instructed to look after Quinn tonight, and though she didn’t know the nature of Quinn’s existence, she assumed it would only be a matter of time before the police could find any incriminating evidence in the van. Not wanting to have to deal with the police at any point in the night, Penny lifted her hand into the air and snapped her fingers. A few seconds later an orange glow began to pulse from the back of the van. A few seconds after that and the corner began to scream all kinds of profanities as the crime scene became engulfed in flames. The officers began to scramble to contain the fire while they awaited the arrival of the fire department.
After the deed was done Penny walked back over to Quinn with a smug smile on her face. “Well that should keep them busy for a while and off your trail….cant solve a crime if there’s no evidence.” she said with a small chuckle, completely oblivious to the homeless man that had managed to sneak past the two young girls and the blonde biker.

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
Quinn turns rapidly when she heard Penny's voice, a smile on her face. "Oh, there you are. The police were not very helpful, shall we go explore to see if we can find her house?" Not actually caring about her opinion, Quinn shakes the little girl to wake her up, giving her a small smile. "I need your help little one. Do you know how o get back home from here?"
When the little girl nods, rubbing her eyes as she tries to wake up completely. Quinn pats her on the head a few times. "Good, then just point out which way we need to go. We will get you home." Once the little girl nods again and points which way they need to go, Quinn made sure that the little girl wasn't going to fall out of her arms and sets off. With the little girl pointing out which way to go, though most of it was sneaking through people's yards and jumping over more than one fence, they were still making good time.
After about a half an hour they managed to get to a backyard where the little girl pointed straight at the house. "Is that where you live?" Once Quinn got a nod in response to her question, she goes straight to the door and opens it, letting herself inside so she could tuck the little girl into her bed. Getting directed through the house by the little girl, it wasn't long before they got to her room and Quinn was laying her down to sleep. Giving the little one another pat on the head, Quinn turns to leave, stopping at the door. "I will come visit you later so we can play, okay?"
Once she had gone back outside after finishing a few quickly draw runes. the house lights suddenly turned off, followed by the doors and windows closing and locking themselves. Dusting off her hands and having a rather smug smile, Quinn turns to Penny. "There, I took her back home. Now what are we going to do?"

Re: Burning hearts and the St Valentine's day adventure! (Quinn) (Double xp)
Penny brought her hands up to her face and began rubbing her eyes and massaging the bridge of her nose. She couldn’t believe that Quinn woke up the child now, instead of when Penny had asked earlier. The trio would embark once more, this time they had directions from the mute little girl. It wasn’t enough that they were sneaking through people’s back yards, but the added addition of having top hop fences warranted several loud annoyed sighs from the blonde bar owner. For being so young, the little girl seemed to have an impeccable sense of direction. She still hadn’t uttered a peep, but she did seem to know which direction the group needed to go in, in order to reach her home.
In the back of Penny’s mind she was quite glad she had set the van on fire. The sudden combustion of evidence seemed to have proven to be a good distraction. After some time had passed, the little girl had led them safely to her home. It was still a shock to Penny, how nonchalant Quinn was and how little she gave a damn. Penny found herself shaking her head in disbelief as Quinn just waltzed into the little girl’s home. Rather than following them inside, Penny circled around to the front of the house and awaited Quinn’s return. The pink haired girl seemed to be taking longer than usual and it began to worry Penny. Quinn had said earlier that if the girl’s parents were bad people she would take the girl. Perhaps they had woken up and found the bubbly kidnapper and gotten into an altercation. Just the thought was enough to cause Penny to enter the house.
With all the stealth she could muster, Penny entered the house and stood in the living room at the foot of the stairs. Several seconds after entering the small residence, Quinn would reappear. The two girls would exit out the back door and the house would lock up behind them. [i]*Probably more of that scribbling she seems so found of.*[/color] Penny thought to herself as they circled back to the front of the house. Quinn had brought up a good point, she had returned the girl just as Penny had asked, but now raised the question what was next? Madeline hadn’t been particularly specific when asking Penny to watch Quinn, nor did she specify for how long the fiery biker would have to do said task. “Well what would you li--”
“FREEZE! PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!” a deep voice boomed over a loud speaker, cutting Penny off mid-sentence. A flood of headlights all clicked on at the same time, nearly drowning the two girls in their fading yellow tinted light.
Penny’s head snapped in the direction of the voice, nearly dropping her bottle of alcohol in the process. “Oh you have got to be fucking kidding me!” she shouted upon seeing the squad of police gathered in a neat crescent shaped blockade.
