Exorcising the blue flames (Flamel)
When you’re bored and Michael, normally you try to do things that ease said boredom. This ended up being Michael managing to borrow Jordan’s phone and sending the occasional somewhat shady message to an annoying Seraphim member. Keeping along with how the male texted was something that he did rather well, and playing along with their responses, well he was just seeing where this would go. Playing around with the replacement afterall was actually fun once he got used to doing it. His petty hobby of messing with people aside, Michael was looking into an odd phenomenon taking place in Las Angeles of all things.
There had been signs of extra-dimensional breaches within the city, not really pointing towards either The Abyss or something else that could want to break into this world. This was something that he was looking into, mostly in the hopes that he could stop any unwanted inter-dimensional destruction. This was what brought him to the spot of what looked to be a massive glowing orange portal, hovering above the city. It pulse and undulated, spiraling with what looked to be a deep red core, turning the clouds around it a bloody red. Something about it felt dark to him, and yet it did not feel like The Abyss.
He would not be encountering Sheiara anywhere around here.
”I wonder what came through this thing.” Michael muttered to himself, feeling a soft vibration from his left front pocket. Likely another text, maybe an unimportant email, but he had more important things in mind. That was when a loud, whooshing sound was released and something fell from the massive portal, as he realized the feeling of more portals opening could be felt.
The thing that had fallen through was human in shape, wreathed in a glimmering blue flame, and wielding what looked to be some manner of katana. The very concrete under their feet melted, being reduced to a molten slag as they let out a bestial roar at Michael. ”Okay, this looks so familiar. I swear i’ve seen something like this before.” Just as he said that, the thing rushed forward with a swipe of the weapon in hand, releasing a massive wave of the blue flames.
Michael managed to duck under this, producing a weapon of his own, striking swiftly as the thing was quickly hewn in two. Their blood and innards splashed across the ground, as it appeared to try to bring itself back together, black mist playing along the edges of the wounds. ”Okay, that was….really boring.” With a snap of his fingers, his energy would seemingly overtake the blue flames covering them and turn a pitch black as they were consumed.
Stepping out of the alleyway, he was made aware of the fact that….there were more of these things and they were….killing police officers only.

Re: Exorcising the blue flames (Flamel)
7:30 AM
The sound of the modern alarm clock woke Nicolas from his light sleep in a shock. He was so used to just willing himself awake at the right time that the sound came completely out of left field. His head didn't move, but his eyes shot sideways toward the insidious machine. He raised his still ring clad hand, then commanded the stone laid in gold with nothing but sheer force of will.
A faint energy came out of the crimson gem, then engulfed the clock and began to change it. Soon enough, it would be nothing but a block of wood. The beeping stopped, and The Father of Alchemy sighed. He didn't like this place at all.
He was in The City of Angels for one reason or another. It was a loud, eccentric, and rather dirty place that was generally unpleasant. In fact, Nicolas didn't really like America in general, but at least cities like New York and Chicago had a less obnoxious culture. Thank the heavens he would be leaving today.......
He didn't wear his usual 17th century overcoat on this trip. He found that when he dressed like that he got more questions then was needed. Instead, he had bought a brown and tan suit with a gold tie. It was his colors, and people stayed out of his business, so everything worked out.
After doing his routine and getting dressed he was about to head out in his usual form of travel, but he accidentally switched on the TV. He hated those things, they were even more annoying then the clocks! He was about to swiftly turn it into wood as well, but that's when he noticed what was on the news.
Apparently portals were opening up, and demons were pouring out of them. Already nineteen police officers were dead, and some citizens were injured in the cross fire. Flamel brought his hand to his chin, contemplating where he had seen the creatures before.
He opened his little book, and the words seemed to change to what he was looking for. It turns out he had seen this person before. It was a rather rogue demon that tried to be a hero a few times but only ended up failing. Apparently he was royalty as well.
No ability to multiply ones self though. Something strange seemed to be happening in the underworld, that was the only explanation. Flamel snapped his fingers, and the TV was turned to wood. He did so again, and he turned to blue flames.
He ended up appearing in the flames of one of the demons, having shifted to the substance all the way from his room. Now he was looking shamefully at a sword wielding demon teen that was trying to kill a cop. Flamel tapped his cane against the ground, and energy traveled into the asphalt before settling under the demon's feet.
Soon enough, the demon was pulled into what seemed like a black goo, which hardened when it got to neck level. Flamel was contemplating if killing this thing was ethical while it tried to burn free. Thankfully Flamel was transmuting the flames into liquid nitrogen.
After a good minute of him standing in the street with his hand to his chin, he came to the conclusion this was likely done by the power of some entity. These creatures were not the real thing, and if they were they would simply be sent back to 'hell'.
The asphalt crushed the black haired demon. Flamel winced.
"Ethical or not, that was a rather unpleasant sound." Flamel said, apparently thinking out loud. Now, to get to the shutting of portals.

Re: Exorcising the blue flames (Flamel)
Chaos, that was the best word for one to describe what was happening in LA of all places. His blade was thick with blood, a few droplets falling to the ground as the sounds of monstrous roars echoed off in the distance. ”I really feel like we should have moved to somewhere...that doesn’t get attacked by monsters.” Michael muttered to himself, as his eyes continued to follow what looked to be a man in dark blue clothing, running from someone swinging about their sword, Well the objective was not difficult to discern, so he knew what he was doing, or rather what one would do if they were so heroically inclined.
”Talk about a pain in the ass.” He formed what looked to be a small orb of energy within his hand, and within a second it would disappear. Within the very same time frame, the blue flame coated thing would be reduced to a bit of gore, splattering across the floor rather messily. ”Okay, that probably did nothing in the grand scheme of things but it did really feel good.” Killing demons with seemingly no minds that went around killing cops, that had to be some kind of good deed he could lay claim to. That being until he took notice of something, or rather someone.
They looked old, by human standards anyway with well wrinkled skin, white hair and clothes someone would consider stylish centuries ago. He had only caught the tail end of what looked to be the ground crushing the demon rather gruesomely. ”Alright, color me interested.” Suddenly disappearing from the sight of the saved cop, he would move along the building tops, having scaled them easily. This was mostly so he could make use of surprise to initiate the beauties of conversation.
This started with him leaping from the top of a building, landing on the ground with a rather audible thump. The concrete had broken underneath him, but he for the most part looked unphased by it.
”Nice work, killing that Blue Exorcist reject.”

Re: Exorcising the blue flames (Flamel)
Nicolas began to investigate a portal that wasn't too far away from the spot he had crushed one of the demon clones at. It was pulsating with the same blue flames that the Demonic Prince was wielding. Determining where exactly the portals lead and how to shut them was going to be tricky. Before he could move on to that task though, he heard the loud sound of shoes against asphalt, followed by speech.
Reacting as any sane person would, Flamel was in motion before he even heard the male's voice. In a mere second the alchemist had turned around with an axe materialized out of what seemed to be thin air. If Michael didn't move, the weapon would be inches from his neck.
Thankfully, Flamel realized it wasn't another demon, or at least not one that was actively killing cops.
"What made you think coming so close behind me during a demon invasion was a good idea? I could have took your head off." Flamel said. He wasn't usually so reactionary combat wise, but these things were basically zombies to him. He would decapitate one no questions asked.
"You know what? Don't answer that. You're out here because you're a metahuman, correct? If you want to help, protect the people while i figure out a way to shut these." Nick said, turning his back to Mike so he could once again study the portal. He seemed to be taking his time though, not really showing any sign of rushing. He even started smoking a pipe he had created with his ring.

Re: Exorcising the blue flames (Flamel)
The old man appeared rather defensive upon hearing him, though in a city besieged by demons that was an expected reaction if nothing else. There was an axe only inches from his neck, though he didn’t appear to be prepping to avoid it or anything along those lines. ”A bit jumpy aintcha?” He said with a smirk, pressing a fingertip against the edge of the axe and pushing it back from his carotid. ”Only thing that really matters if you didn’t, and probably couldn’t with that thing.” Burying the hand that had pushed the axe away into a pocket, he let out a soft sigh.
However he had gotten over his sudden knee jerk reaction without too much fanfare, mentioning something about Mike helping him out with the demons pouring out everywhere. There was something about protecting the people, though that was his pan anyway. What did fascinate him was the fact this man suggested they could close the portals, which either meant they were deluded, had such a power or had the knowledge to do something like that. ”I could always help with the whole portal closing business, unless of course you want to do it all by yourself.” He noted, looking up to one of the ugly red scars in the sky.
It appeared to pulsate before letting loose more of the odd creatures with their blue flames, a few of them crashing into their street. It was odd, the fact that there were so many of them just falling from the sky. It actually made Michael wonder what was going on. Maybe someone was mass producing them or this was just some cosmic prank by some higher entity. ”Ya know what. Your plan sounds just as good.” That was when he noted they were actually beginning to pick them out, a few metahumans actually deciding they weren’t pleased with their city being burned down and joining in the fight. This was made evident by what looked to be white wolves biting at one of them, trying to tear out it’s throat but only melting from the intense heat.

Re: Exorcising the blue flames (Flamel)
"Well, this is getting out of hand now." Flamel said, watching as more and more of the demons came into view. Some obvious metahumans seemed to be joining the fight, but most didn't last long.
Whatever these things were, they were ridiculously powerful.
Flamel had to continuously transmute the area around him into super cold ice just to keep the heat away. He could only imagine what a direct and focused blast would due to his defenses.
One of the demons landed only a few meters away, and at point blank used their power to try to overwhelm Nicolas. Using alchemy on the flames was out of the question, as if they were magic based then the demon may still be able to manipulate them. The Father of Alchemy instead decided to continuously create titanium from the air around the fire, acting as a shield.
The metal dispersed quickly, but Nick held his ground. He continued to replenish the barrier as he thought of a way to get rid of this new threat.
Eventually, he found such a method in his head. He pointed his cane and soon the clothing on the demon turned to steel, then slowly clinched down on the body it previously clothed until there was an audible popping sound. With that, everything Nicolas had transmuted turned into air.
"Yes......... My plan does sound good. It's no offense to you, but i doubt you would be of any actual assistance to me in closing these. Just....... Just keep them away from me along with everyone else." Flamel said in a level and composed voice. Knowing Michael he would probably take offense to such ordered dialogue, though Flamel did not intend it to be taken that way.
