A Hello And An Introduction From A New Writer

Hey everybody; I'm new here and just looking to throw out a friendly hello. You guys can call me Brian or Parable, or any variety of nicknames that might show up later down the road. Just to tell you a little about me. I'm pretty big on writing and pretty into the whole superhero mythos as well. As for my other hobbies, well I box, I'm pretty big into fitness, I love the outdoors and meditation is really my thing.

I'm starting up a flying speedster named Parable. Essentially a guy who has lived in slow motion for his entire life; pretty sad, but he's getting by. I really want to press the point of just how hard it is for him to live in a world that's just too slow, while also trying to follow an inner calling to be a good person, and to just feel something good in his heart. The only real benefit to Parable from not being able to live normally, is that he has had time to really get to know himself and what drives him.

The character is way more mature than your average sixteen year old, since he's lived the internal life of someone much, much older. In the end, he can't be what he really wants to be, a normal person; so in his heart he's decided to try and become something more than human. He wants to be a beacon of hope and happiness, and--while he might not admit--righteousness. This guy really does just want to be able to connect with and love people. That said, he's not too lovey-dovey, that's just the internal motivation; and hey, we all get kinda squishy deep down in our hearts.

Ha, now that you know my and my character's life story, let me just say that I'm happy to be here with all of you, and glad that you'd let me join in on all the fun. I look forward to writing and weaving some stories with everyone, once my application is sorted. Have a good morning guys, or a good --insert whatever time it is for you--. I'm walking off to plan some stuff now, have fun with your day.

Thanks for the welcome, Nova. I've never been much for following Quicksilver, though I guess you could call me a fan-- if not anywhere near a hardcore one. I gotta say though, I love the panel; I appreciate the share!

As for having a blast, yea that's definitely already going on. I've managed to get my first thread going so we're good on that count; the thing was jumped on way quicker than I'm used to on other sites, too. I've got to get back into the swing of writing; I'm a little rusty, but I can feel myself loosening up pretty quickly, so I'm feeling good about it.

Glad to have such bright minds on Superhero RP to expand it's user base. (:
