Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
It started off as scattered reports around the city of Los Angeles, mysterious killings with a rather interesting motiff. All of the victims seemed to be ritualistically killed, their hearts having been cut out and the bodies dumped in inconspicuous locations, within dumpsters and locations of the like, mostly teenaged females or women within their early twenties, all with a look of absolute horror upon their faces. This information was not made open to the public, but to someone that could hack into the servers, it was painfully easy to obtain the documents, or so Alexander mulled over as the light blue orbs scanned over the obtained information. He was dealing with some kind of serial killer on the prowl but that alone was not enough to arouse his suspicious, considering that killings tended to happen within a large city like Los Angeles.
There was something else to this investigation, something within the document that caught his eyes more than anything, male pressing the glasses further up his nose as he processed everything. A low white light was set across his facial profile, seeming to pronounce every small flaw within it; mostly the small amount of freckles that formed along his jawline, adding a certain look to the male. His lips pursed slightly as he tapped a few keys upon the laptop, and the light would shift ever so lightly. ”But what could it mean?” Alexander pondered to himself as he looked over the strange rune that was flashing upon the screen as the great mystery that it was to him. Something about it seemed to call to him, yet at the same time it was something that he did not quite understand.
The sound of metallic scuttling reached his ears as the small quadripedal machine would crawl along beside him, before simply folding into its “sleep mode”. Someone had been carving the same marking into the victims, right around their right thigh with some manner of knife, but that was all he knew as far as that went, so Alexander would have to look into it further by himself if he wanted to learn anything. A lot of investigating would have to go into it, but that was something to Alexander was willing to risk, ignoring the sound of something thudding loudly in the other room. It seemed that his father had finally awoken from his alcohol induced sleep, which meant that he would only have more trouble than he was willing to deal with, not good at all. The young male tapped the machine lightly as it seemed to shift into a backpack, hiding its true appearance as the door swung open, rather drunken male looking through.
He was a scruffier and older version of Alexander, minus the glasses and shy demeanor. His face was decorated by rather scraggly facial hair, he looked down to Alex who was just looking over the laptop screen for a moment before turning to him. In his hand was clutched an empty bottle of alcohol, likely some cheap kind of whiskey that he had mostly drunk up, a small trail of the liquid flowing down the side of his chin. He seemed to be opening his mouth to say something, likely some kind of drunken ranting that would grate on his nerves. Well, all that emerged from his mouth was a strange kind of burbling noise that sounded much like him before he was going to vomit, and oh did he vomit. Spewing forth from his mouth was an off colored liquid that would splash out along the floor, sickening Alex as the male seemed to pause for a moment and wipe away a few strands of spittle.
All Alexander could do at that point was tare dumbfounded at the male for a moment, before he puttered off and left the pool of vomit drying into his carpet, another mess for him to clean up it would seem. Another problem to tack onto the growing list of problems, but there was no time to dwell on the small things like how his father was a failure as far as parents went. Fingers would run over the keyboard once again, strings of information running across his screen at amazing speeds, light blue eyes scanning over the information as he for the most part seemed to ignore the smell of vomit that was rising within the room. He would have to clean that up but the information he was gaining here would prove useful upon the more hands on approach.
The sound of a shower turning on meant that his father had dragged his sorry ass into the shower and allowed him a window of time that he could just leave. A pattern existed and he would find out what exactly that pattern was, which came down to a general area that these murders took place, which was around a three block radius within the city. So that would be a good enough place to start, though he would have to be a little discrete in his dealings, otherwise he would be facing some trouble from rather unwieldy cultists. Well, so long as he did not let his heart cut out there would be no problems and he was no woman, so there was likely a low chance of that happening. The male pushed himself to his feet and gathered up a few things, things that he would need to properly investigate this matter and then he was off, slinking through the apartment until he reached the street.
It was a cold night in Los Angeles, a cold breeze brushing across his exposed cheek as Alexander pulled the jacket brought with him closer to his cheek, brushing a few strands of hair out of his face. Slowly the English male would walk into the night, dipping into an alleyway and moving on from there, letting the shadowy cloak form around him and hide him within the shadows, he would be there soon enough.
--
A woman breathed heavily as she continued with the frantic run, lungs burning as he legs pumped under her and drove her forward. A faint shadow danced about behind her, barely out of sight, accompanied by the sound of scuttling. Within an instant a strange substance formed, wrapping about the females legs and causing her to trip, a small amount of fluorescent light seeming to play off of the web like substance that had appeared. A low hiss would emanate from the shadows as she was pulled into the shadows, a silhouette cast within the shadows.

Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
A can of beans covered the 'G', 'H', and 'T' letters across the newly created Ouija Board Elaine garnered in return for a number of services she performed for a rather uncouth woman and a younger, dumber Tyuki. The problem gave off an air that it would fix itself in due time, but two weeks passed and the stain set in deeper to the wood of the cursed tree from Mount Fuji. "Ghost can just say what they want without spelling words in a stupid way."
"Why were you eating over my board in the first place?" Taking a brush to the deeply rooted stain, Amethyst tried her hardest to work around both problems before her.
After her solution of turning the Ouija board into a table and setting it on fire were both rebuked, Elaine went back to gathering the accounts of the murder from her spirit guides. Unfortunately, all she could contact was a raccoon, and raccoons are notorious for a left wing viewpoint. "First of all, everything here belongs to me, you would know that if you ever read the terms of agreement to your Apple account, second, Penn Jilette said this was stupid and he's a wizard too."
"He's a stage magician not a wizard."
"He eats beans out of a can because he wants to, you do it because it's all you can afford and you don't own plates. Ouija boards are dumb because magicians know more about magic. That's just economics." And truth.
"I think it still works even though it's covered. I know, I'll just rewrite the letter over it and it will work just as good. It's only a medium after all."
"Yeah, because if a TV stops working you can always draw a picture on it."
"There, I wrote over the stain and we have a fully functioning Ouija board."
"Good, now do magic stuff and find out why people are cutting their own hearts out."
"These are clearly murders, and very sinister murders with a dark meaning behind them at that."
"You don't know that. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. So, these women are guilty of suicide."
"I plan to reason around that."
"Your holding a board you claim can talk to dead people, made of wood from a tree found in a country where Ouija boards didn't originate from. Reason around your life, then kill yourself."
"Well, I think it's a nice board and I hope to solve a mystery today with its help. I just need to wait for Imena to get back and I can start scrying the secrets these women hold from beyond this..."
"I'm going to shoot at things until my heightened enlightenment tells me everything about these dumb things. Get on my level."
As the shadow of the shadow of the corgi who hunts in the night, Elaine stalked into the darkness of Los Angeles. Even though she kept an eye on the murders, the lost translation of the name of the city popped into Elaine's head. It didn't stay for long and quickly found itself replaced with the scream of a woman in an alley. Pulling both guns from the holsters, Elaine darted into the encroaching darkness to catch the last visage of a girl being dragged into the shadows. Not fearing darkness due to cognitive dissonance, Elaine followed quickly in pursuit to try and save the girl before the perpetrator could escape.

Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
Tiamat raged beneath the waters, just off the coast of the Californian beach. Which beach? What does it matter, the entire state is just one big beach. Not like Tiamat would know where he was anyway, he'd probably give himself a migraine trying to recall any sense of direction. Even in his "intelligent" form it was like asking a blind man which way was west... after spinning him around like he was going hit the piñata. The enraged creature propelled itself from the water, exploding out in a large geyser styled pulse as it took to the air and began soaring above the clouds, headed towards the grand city known as Los Angeles. The creature gave a few seldom flaps of the wings to keep itself above the normal visibility, though in all honesty the random tentacle tail peeking down through the clouds and worming around probably made a few individuals rather paranoid.
Thankfully the night was a perfect cover. That is of course as long as a large glowing gem flying across the air was dismissed by most people. The poor reptilian creature had no hope of remaining hidden for long, especially not with the gem sparking with quintessence energy. Thankfully, remaining hidden was not it's plan. It was going to make an assault upon the city of lights. The strange lights were obvious signs of readied defenses, and instinctively the Dragon took to the skies, higher and higher. It reached the peak of it's ability to fly upward and then twisted, its' serpent-like form coiling in air, simply floating there for a moment, before the Dragon unleashed a ear-shattering screech and firing itself down towards the ground of LA. IMMA FIRIN MAH LA- I can has thinks Englishes? The Draconian beast wondered, before suddenly realizing that his scales had fallen away, and now there was a young and squishy human form.
"OH DAAAAAMN!" Jordan howled out as he began to plummet to the earth below. This was not going to end well was it? He kept screaming, until he realized that his own screaming wasn't going to make this happen any faster. He found it hard to catch his breath, but he managed as he forced himself through the pressure to reach his cellular phone. By some miracle he managed to get the phone and shoot off a text message.
Hey Silus. I luv U buddy. Can U tell the rest of the guys I luv them too? Thx! that followed with the signature of ~ "Jackass Jordan" which was the family name for the joking-dragon male.
Yeah, can't you just tell them when you get here? ~ Shy-guy Si <3 Silus' reply came a moment later, near instant really. Jordan smirked at Silus' signature and calmly typed his response.
I wuld. But I'm bout to die lolz XD
Wait, what? And you have time to txt me?
Well yah. Kinda flalin to me deth
Flailing to your death? What did you get turned into a Magikarp?
Nah I ment Im FALLIN
I'll be sure to note your spelling skills on the headstone
my sperring is god
Sperring? Are you trying to imitate your Grandpa's accent?
Cummon Si! U so nice, Y u bein mean lik Mike wen Imma die soon :-(
I am weakening the gene-pool by letting this atrocious spelling exist.
Ur gonna sumin an Atronach?
...you can spell Atronach but not Summon? How is Sean NOT your dad too? Look, just use the Dragonknight Armor and hope for the best.
Jordan went to type a response, but he lost his grip on the phone and it flew form his hands. The ground was...scarily close now. He did what Silus instructed and activated his Dragon's Armor, adorning the form of the Dragonknight. He landed on a yellow Taxi and the alarm sang like a cannery...that as thrown in a blender. On Labor day. Or after labor day for that matter. Jordan's armor shattered, breaking off and dissipating, entirely broken. Jordan's blonde hair popped up as he looked around. "Oh...hey... I stopped falling." The blonde draconian male said with an interested hum in his voice and a groan as he grabbed onto his ribs and laid himself back into the draconian humanoid crater.

Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
Alexander continued to make a mental note of everything that he was bringing with him, lips seeming to move yet nothing coming out of them. His mind was going at an insane speed, though one thing caught his attention and that was something slamming into a car near him. Strange blue eyes opened widely, as he looked to the source of the loud sound, one that was similar to something hitting a car. What would be falling out of the sky anyway? His mind ran over many things, and none of them matched what would be large enough to create such a sound, his lips curling into a slight frown as his mind found itself thinking over that now. No one had come to check out the stranger that had fallen onto the cab, and something within him wanted to check it out, and so that was what he would.
Peering from the wreckage of the car was a blond male, or rather the head of a blond male anyway. ”Hallelujah, its raining men?” Alexander wondered silently to himself, raising an eyebrow and his lips curling into a slight amused smirk before becoming a smooth line. Well there was a car, but now it was more like a flattened bit of metal with a blond lying over some of the scrap in what appeared to be torn up blue jeans. Should he help the guy out or just leave him lying in the crater? Alexander majorly considered the second option, but then again a conscious was working its way into the situation, so he would help somewhat.
Blue orbs would dart about, before he approached the location of the crater, looking down into it, stepping down for a moment and examining the area. Okay, so there was damage to the car, ground and possibly to the male laying there. Kneeling down, Alexander would lightly tap on Jordan’s chest, the touch creating a rather interesting glowing rune. While he was unsure of the dragon’s physical state, it was better that he was careful rather than simply leaving him to lay there with possible internal bleeding. Upon stepping from the crater, the rune would begin to glow and everything would begin to fix itself. Adjusting his sleeve, Alexander would wait to see if the male was alright before walking away, leaving him to do whatever it was that he was doing, aside from falling from the sky.
--
A low hissing emanated from the darkness, rasping in a way that would cause a person’s spine to tingle. One could hear a light mumbling within the darkness, and if they were to cast a light, they would see the shadow of an arachnid type being, carrying something wriggling within some kind of container.

Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
The chase became muddled in confusion as the muffled cries of the woman gave Elaine the only lead to follow. Each corner created a prism of shadows against the alley, each light only illuminated the senseless struggle Elaine fought against.
After taking a sharp turn, the shadow she chased decided to show true strength. The tendrils wrapped around Elaine's legs and pulled her to the ground. Shadows began to wrap around her torso to claim another sacrifice as Elaine tried to free her legs to make an escape. Flickering in the windows above, a light bulb giving its last breath of light caused a disturbance among the shadows assaulting Elaine. If light gave the shadow such a problem to fight against, the only reasonable situation Elaine could surmise came as she dug through her rucksack to pull out a flare. Elaine shot the flare towards the shadow, casting away the shadows wrapping her up and giving her reprieve to shadow jump away.
After her narrow escape, Elaine picked up a more frantic trail coming from the shell of a building standing to the side of a construction site. Still lacking insulation and all the necessities of a building, the skeleton structure still gave enough privacy for any kind of prying eyes. Proceeding with some caution, Elaine put her ear against the side of the brick wall to hear motion within the building come to an eerie standstill.
Breaking the monotony of the moment, Elaine burst forth into the room with a quick shadow jump and immediately put two rounds into the walls. Surprised by her entrance and satisfied by her bullets missing them, the five cultist in the room began to prepare an overwhelming assault when Elaine revealed her true intentions with the bullets. Her fingers pressed gently against the buttons on her pistols, detonating the rounds and sending bits of bricks and shrapnel against the unprepared men.
Sitting in the middle of the room, the young girl had no chance of escape from the chair the cultist bound her to and no vocal catharsis with a rag tied around her mouth. Her dark hair faded to a black hue as the shadows in the room continued to flicker about the group. With confusion mixing in with pain, Elaine drew a knife and started to cut away at the ropes. Her display sliced through the first tangled knot as one of the cultist stood to his feet. Feeling his power behind her, Elaine slid towards his lower abdomen and swung around his back. Pulling upon forward momentum, Elaine flipped around his shoulders and flung the man over the bound girl and into the rising form of another cultist.
With her restraints loosening, the woman found herself gaining more leverage over her position, giving Elaine an easier target to slice through. Two more ropes snapped in half from their taut position while a battlecry beleaguered with pain moved towards Elaine in an effort to tackle her while a woman behind him prepared to attack the victimized girl. In the flash of an eye, Elaine disappeared, leaving the man with no tangible target to grapple. As his head impacted into the brick wall, Elaine popped back into being and quickly delivered a snap kick to the head of the woman moving on the would be sacrifice.
Now free from the bonds, the woman bolted for the door while the shadows stirred more intensely. With no visible reason for the shadows to even exist, let alone act in such a frantic manner, Elaine moved towards the exit of the building when a tendril caught her by the foot. Looking back, Elaine saw the image of the fifth cultist with her back against the wall. She made no attempt to attack Elaine as the others did, but instead held flashlight in her hand. Shining the light towards the ground near Elaine, the light gave the shadows a viable means of entrapping Elaine.
The cultist's face grew into a sinister cackle. "We only need one volunteer to ward away the return of the shadow one. Your sacrifice will not be in vain, but it will be your sacrifice."
After taking a sharp turn, the shadow she chased decided to show true strength. The tendrils wrapped around Elaine's legs and pulled her to the ground. Shadows began to wrap around her torso to claim another sacrifice as Elaine tried to free her legs to make an escape.
Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
"Oh Hi there." Jordan said with a slight groan as he began to feel a sharp pain in his stomach. Perhaps there would be internal bleeding, perhaps not. Though this strange kid was just walking up and here Jordan was in torn jeans and at the center of a crater. "I Assure you there is a perfectly goods explanation for this!... I uh....uh.... " He said as he groaned, suddenly realizing that if this kid were a normal human being than Jordan was in trouble. He quickly looked around and tried to formulate an excuse. "I'm the Hulk!" He said quickly with a smirk before he froze up. He suddenly realized the kid just up and knelt there and put his creepily pale hands up and somehow managed to conjure a runic marking upon Jordan's chest as his body began to feel a thousand times better.
"Oh, not the run of the mill dull and drull human eh? Phew. Saves me a load and a half of trying to cover my arse. Oh and thanks for the Tat. Love it." Jordan laughed as he noticed the runic marking in the dead center of his chest, similar to the tattoo in the dead center of his own father's chest. He made a point to walk around and quickly moved to try and get in front of the pale stranger. He brought his arms up and locked his fingers together, resting the back of his head in his interlocked hands as he walked backwards. "So... Erm...why did ya help me? Not that I'm not like...thankful ya know man? Just kinda wonderin'. Not too many people are all nice and stuff- SQUIRREL!" Jordan said as he literally leapt off to the side and towards one of the decorative trees that were planted throughout the sidewalks of the city. His right hand charged up a brilliant blue color before firing out as an aquatic colored electricity. There was a lout squeak before Jordan grunted at the tree before he walked back after the pale boy.
"Dumb things do nothing but poop. Rats with wings I tell you. Wait....awe man!" Jordan whined as his eyes narrowed and he looke dback, throwing his arms down to his sides. "Sorry!" He called back at the tree before getting "distracted by the sound of an explosion. He wasn't sure what it was mind you, his Oceanic omnipotence affecting the sewage systems and the plumbing tended to scramble exactly what was going on. "That was...different. It was like a "Boom" but I...I dunno where it's comin' from." Jordan said, his savage instincts took in, his eyes shifting and staring as he seemed to scan everywhere. Not that any of the information would hold mind you... but none the less he scanned. He began to head for an alleyway with a draconian growl as he tried to discern where his sensory had gathered the audio from. Hopefully the closer he could get, the close he'd be to whatever caused it.

Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
Alexander gave a light sigh as soon as the male began to speak, something about the amount of words spewing from his mouth annoyed the male. Perhaps it was something about extroverts that rubbed him the wrong way, but Alexander just did not feel comfortable around people that enjoyed talking, especially excessive talking. Admittedly the whole attempt to explain this in a believable way on his part was amusing, but then again calling one’s self the Hulk was not too believable, considering that his clothing would have been damaged more severely, and he would be wearing purple pants. Alexander however did not really have any urge to stay around after helping him with the whole possible internal injuries problem, so he would do his good deed and walk away. Hopefully the guy would have been dazed enough to not follow and not annoy him, yet that would not seem to be the case.
He would ask why Alexander had saved him, and he would have to come up with some kind of answer, a huge pain really and one that he wanted to avoid. He could just say that he felt like helping him, a simple enough answer and it was not too far from the truth, yet it felt a little half assed. Before he could really answer, the male would seem to let his attention shoot elsewhere, which was in the direction of a tree and a squirrel in particular, releasing a powerful burst of electricity that fried the poor rodent before it even knew what had hit it. So now he was dealing with some manner of being that wielded electricity, not something that he was looking forward to at all.
”I helped because I wanted to.” It was a brief and to the point explanation, Alexander not really sparing any more words that he thought was required. Didn’t want to start of sort of conversation that would require him to speak more than he was comfortable with, especially with such…an outgoing personality. What caught his attention however was an explosion, something that was not the usual to him within the city of Angels. His attention snapped to what looked like a small amount of smoke rising within the distance, or rather it was close. Seemed like maybe some kind of metahuman was having some kind of party, one that involved blowing things up. ”probably came from there.” Alexander noted pointing out the area where he had heard the explosion come from, before going on his own way, not really giving the draconian male too much attention.

The arachnid watched over the female, eyes narrowing in morbid fascination as she seemed to attempt to save the young woman that was being kidnapped by the cultists. Its maw would open into a smirk, revealing sharp teeth, as it slowly skittered from the shadows of the ceiling, waiting for the time that it could strike. They spoke of sacrifces, and it had its own ideas when sacrifices were concerned. ”Looooksss like a few humansss have wandered into my nest.” It muttered with an ominous tone, disregarding the fact that it had brought the sacrifice there in the first place. The cultists had thought the demon was theirs but it belonged to another.

Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
A low voice hung in the rafters of the skeletal building. The sliver of darkness continued to pin Elaine's leg to the ground, but the haunting voice drew the attention of those who sought to sacrifice her. After living shadow makes an attempt to restrain someone to be sacrificed to an unknown entity, the arrival of said entity didn't surprise Elaine much, but it left a jarring presence on the assortment of cultist scouring the ceiling to find the origin.
While the collective grouping of cultist no longer paying credence to the cowgirl, Elaine loosened her lasso and flung it to grab the flashlight out of the cultist's hand. A beam of light broke the presence of the shadow, letting Elaine get back to her feet, but as the light shined over to the dark cowled cultist, something broke from the expected. Light seemed to shine through the light cloak over the woman and illuminate a glow beaming from her in a blacklight. Elaine brought the flashlight towards the woman's face to see the highlights of her blacklit smile fade the other lights in the vicinity.
Before the spider could make her descent, Elaine fired two rounds into the wall to carve out a door for her to retreat through; this encounter could wait for another time. hopefully, a time after one of these creatures killed the others and would be weakened enough to not put up a fight. Elaine darted out the opening and left the rain of debris and dust behind her when she crashed into the young girl she previously rescued from either the demon or the cultist, honestly Elaine could never tell the difference, and thinking that makes her racist makes you racist. Mind blown.
"Why are you still here?" Elaine pushed herself up from the ground, pinning the girl from getting up.
"I wanted to know who these people were and I thought you won." Pressing her elbow as a lever to push herself up, the girl finally got to a better position to try and make an expiated retreat. "Are we in danger?"
"No." A beam of living shadow consumed one of the cultist, turning him into a blank template to summon a barbed club with several blades bursting from it. "This is pretty much wrapped up." Wielding itself in the grasp of a shadowy draping, the club burst forth, dislodging a major section of drywall in the melee breaking out behind Elaine. "Gonna say justice is done and call it a night."

Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
Jordan took off as fast as he could, well it wasn't too impressive to be honest, he was pretty gimpy at the moment due to the royal pains he was given from his previous battles. Jordan wasn't too surprised at this rate however that the healing rune didn't help with the energy inhibition. If not because the dragon didn't know the nature of how it worked. That reminded Jordan that he didn't know how a lot of things worked. Like cars for example. You stick this thingy in the port and you turn it over and then this big metal thingy growls and can move really fast. Jordan could only stop and keep himself settled when he had arrived at the place he felt was certainly the place. He actually wasn't sure. He would truly just do his best to keep up with the little dude who looked like he knew where he was going. He found himself in totally unfamiliar territory as he seemed to shift through the region, doing his damnedest to keep up or maybe even keep ahead. He would eventually find himself within the confines of a construction site and he would eagerly seek out the source of the fun... Fun being defined as "Anything I can eat, Anything I can horde, Anything I can blow up" or anything that offered him one such thing. What he found however was a
"Well dang girl!" Jordan said, his vice cracking a little as he scanned over the captive and Elaine, the drywall broken behind her from the shadow-club-thing. He was a little stunned as to what the heck was going on. Then again, not knowing stuff was the Dragon's specialty. "This is like... awesome... Can I eat that?" Jordan asked as he pointed to the barbed club. It looked like it was tasty, then again he was having strange cravings again, came with being a dragon. It's probably really tasty...but not as tasty as laundry detergent and glue. Those are the best.

Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
Jordan took off ahead, leaving Alexander trailing behind him and slightly annoyed. The male gave a dramatic roll of his eyes and a low annoyed sigh as he picked up the speed, though it was nowhere fast enough to match even the males limping speed. Not that he was intending to match him by any stretch of the imagination, no, he just did not want the seemingly impulsive male to cause anymore trouble than possible, seeing as how it appeared he could cause quite a bit with the potential magic that he wielded. Something about the lighting simply spelt trouble, and there was always the potential for greater destruction. What he found upon the scene was destroyed drywall, a strange cowgirl and someone bound within a chair, as well as a strange shadowy construct.
”No, you can't.” Alex noted simply, wondering if this guy was just stupid or as excitable as he seemed. It was already feeling as if he were dealing with a kid, a kid who had too much sugar. What caught his attention were the strange people within the dust, shadows twirling around them as if under their control and then what Jordan spoke about when asking if he could eat it. Then there was a movement that snapped one of them up, a small amount of string that unfurled around one of them and dragged them upwards. The shadows draped around the club would began to jerk violently, as it threw the metal bit and fully dislodged it from the wall, tossing drywall chunks as it sailed further, only a few inches from striking Alexander in the head as it clattered along the ground.
With that small distraction, the arachnid leapt from the builds roof and pounced upon another of the cultists, breaking their spine upon contact as its glowing eyes fell upon those against it.

Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
"Of course you can eat that. This is America. If you can have the ghost of a corgi you killed by feeding it chocolate when you were five offer you advice you never listen to you can do just about anything." Moving her shoulders like appendages, Elaine counseled her new partners in justice as they began accosting the beast. Er- beasts.
"Say what now?" The rescued woman backed up in disbelief at what transpired.
"It's okay. He got better." Elaine stuck her hand out. "I'm Elaine."
"Megan." Shaking with some trepidation about the kidnapping, the battle, and the woman greeting her, Megan started to walk backwards as she finished the greeting. "I'm going to get going--" Before she could finish her farewell, a sliver of shadow ensnared her torso and wrapped around her mouth.
Elaine reached for her pistols, but the quickness of the tendril wrapped her up tightly. Both girls were pulled back into the battlefield, unaware of which side grabbed them and where they were being taken.

Re: Shadows fall [Elaine and Jordan]
"Yam bless America then!" Jordan said happily as he made his way over towards the club, then he heard the little rantings about the dead corgi with the chocolate. He looked to the girl and cocked his head to the side. The Corgi couldn't eat chocolate? That was kind of depressing in an sense, Jordan couldn't imagine a world where he couldn't eat chocolate or lobster, or krill, and ESPECIALLY not a world where he couldn't eat laundry detergent or rusty nails. He'd probably jump off a cliff is he couldn't eat those things. "It ain't easy bein' a corgi. My dad was a corgi once. Corgiboros I think....or...hmmm." The young dragon looked to the ground, eyes fixated as if he were deep in thought. He couldn't help but think that he was wrong when he said that his dad's name as Corgiboros.
The poor doltish dragon was too dumb to even realize that there was a tendril of shadow that wrapped itself around him, constricting him snugly to keep him from moving, but he still kept staring at the ground. His attention snapped as he heard the crunching on a cultists' spine. He looked up to see a rather fierce looking Arachnid.... Sickly looking fangs, Chitinous appendages, multiple eyes and the smell of rancid meat, it was enough to make them sick...
"Imma eat it!" He said as he began to wiggle and squirm, trying to take steps towards the spider, each move proving futile.
