Zafira is a young, brash idealist, an anarchist who advocates the overthrow of the oppression of Governments that put down or overlook the little people like the Tibetans. She can be polite, even philosophical but her commitment to her ideals makes her frightfully unstable and quick to violence.

History:

Zafira and her fraternal twin brother, Zaheed were part of a sect of monks born in Chinese controlled Tibet. These monks were all related by blood, and in their genes was the inherent ability to manipulate air by using martial arts. They grew up among cousins, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts and extended family. Zaheed was the most gifted in the art and was slated to be a master at a young age, Zafira not far behind.

After a particularly brutal suppression by the Chinese Government that left dozens of Tibetans dead, the young monks of the sect appealed to the international community to censure China. However, given its status as a Superpower, the world simply turned a blind eye. Angered by this, Zaheed rallied a number of his peers to launch a vicious counter attack, marching his peaceful brethren to attack a government building. When their elders learned of the plot, they immediately stopped Zaheed and his followers- most of them gave in and simply abandoned the mission. Except for Zafira. They were warned that if they left the temple to pursue revenge, they could never return. The next morning, the staff within the government building all turned up dead- asphyxiated.

And so they embarked on a long campaign of terror and anarchy against the Chinese government. They resorted to hiring themselves out as mercenaries and assassins to earn money, and soon enough their work carried them from Asia to throughout the globe.

The Powers and Weaknesses

Powers

Power 1: Aerokinetic: Zafira demonstrates manipulation over air itself, capable of many offensive, defensive and utility powers. Air blasts, air sweeps, air barriers, vaccuums and so forth.

Power 2: Vibration sense: Zafira is so in tune with the air in a 30 foot radius around her she can sense any movement or disturbance in that range, down to someone's normal breathing.

Power 3:Monk training: As part of her aerokinetic training, Zafira is also a highly adept martial artist, a scholar and a skilled Yogi. Not particularly strong, but extremely agile and fit.

Power 4:Flight: Do the superman, baby.

Weakness(es)

Weakness 1: Fragile: Zafira is built as a normal human being, with the strength and endurance of someone who mostly does Kung Fu, Yoga and Pilates.

Weakness 2: Air dependence: If she somehow finds herself in a situation where there is no air present, Zafira cannot use her powers. Her vibration sense can be foiled by movement that does not disturb air, or by not moving.

Weakness 3: Claustrophobia: Zafira is afraid of dark, enclosed places.

Weakness 4: Criminal Past: Zafira and her twin, Zaheed were Anarchists, terrorists and assassins for many years (See history for details.) Zafira may have changed her tune, but Zaheed continues his evil ways. Neither her clan, Interpol nor the Chinese Government are likely to warm up to her any time soon. Crimes involving aerokinetic metahumans are almost always pinned on Zafira
