The Underworld [Assailant]

The music pumped through the club rhythmically, lights flashing along a dance floor with a large amount of gyrating and sweaty bodies. A place owned by an individual named Hyperion, though it was in the name of another person, mostly to keep attention from himself. It was from the backroom that Michael sat, legs crossed as he let out a sigh, rubbing the bridge of his nose as the female considered the rather young looking male. It was rare that the metahuman made dealings with someone so young looking, dressed in a white polo shirt and light pink shorts, a few scars visible as white lines upon his face. ”Well that was interesting, take your payment and leave.” Michael noted removing a few wads of cash and pushing it towards the female, who took it, dropping a briefcase and then leaving with a slight gait.

Michael smirked, reclining within his seat, sighing contently as he considered the silver colored suitcase left behind and what would be within it. However he did not have the time to play around with illegal substances or now experiences, as he was supposed to be meeting a metahuman that one of his lieutenants had brought to his attention; in the form of an electrokinetic. Little was personally known about the male but he was sure that he could ascertain more information about the male as the night went on, and perhaps he could gain more information first hand. With that scant amount of information given, Michael would stand up and grab the small case, placing it behind the chair he was sitting in and waited, hopefully the security would lead the individual to him.

The club was insane for him, so many bodies pulsing with electrical signals, only enhanced by the copious amounts of extasy they were all taking, as well as seeing all the electrical surges for the lasers and lights, it almost made it seem normal or at least, the other party animals were too high to care about a guy kissing a girl and then streams of electrical energy transferred to him dropping her in a heap on the floor. He walked through the crowd, pushing people aside with the occasional jolt of electricity, he was so excited that arcs were crossing his fingers as he approached this 17 year old kid.

He walked up to him and then said simply with a mild hint of disinterest "So you the kid i'm s'posed to find here I imagine?" he wasn't actually disinterested, he had complete interest in a crime lord with many different ways about him and contacts that Gridshock could make use of, but he wanted to hear what the runt had to say first.

Michael considered the metahuman that approached him, smirking softly as he would address him. ”If you shoot lightning from your fingertips, then yes I am.” Michael would speak with an amused tone, motioning with a hand to the seat across from him for the male to sit. ”I imagine you got my message and my interest in your ability, so I won’t waste your time with beating around the bush. I’m known as Hyperion, up and coming crime lord, blah blah blah.” he would note not really seeing the metahuman as a threat, and his whole posture showed that, not that he considered his powers nothing to sneeze at.

”I assume you are the one known as Gridshock, right?” He would ask letting one arm dangle over the chair and wait for the male to answer his question, tapping a foot against the floor softly.

Gridshock smiled as he raised a hand and let the electricity arc between his fingers as he said "Indeed I am, and you I could tell you were Hyperion since everyones electrical signatures in here follows the same pattern, except for you" Gridshock sat on a chair near him but didn't get too near, he knew Hyperion was dangerous but he didn't fear him, not at all.

He turned to a light and let the electricity arc from the light into him and it was a blood red lightning, as he finished he'd absorbed enough that his veins began to glow a little "Y'know, you didnt have to give me a feast of power to talk me into joining your little party"

Michael had not expected himself to be like everyone else here, because he was not like anyone else here. That mostly could have been because they were all human and he was not, so considering the metahuman the ethereal raised an eyebrow and smirked. ”I don’t know, people tend to come with the promise of a feast.” Hyperion noted with a shrug, tapping a finger softly against his thigh with a sigh, considering everything about the male sitting across from him, such as posture and overall facial expressions. ”I’m sure you have some idea why I’ve called you here, or likely don’t. Which is fine, because I plan to explain my purpose either way. You see, I’m looking for muscle in my….criminal organization, powerful metahumans willing to lend their powers. Of course there will be compensation for that. Catch your interest so far?”

Spike considered this and then smiled, gesturing his hand and leaning back in his seat in order to say continue, but he didn't like the word muscle, not that he complained much about it however. He simply smiled as he heard money would be involved and said "Honestly I didn't think you'd hold out on me, but I do have one pressing matter ... What do you need an electrokinetic for? After all, your pretty powerful and all already."

A proper question really, but then again there was always a need for power on one’s side, otherwise why would he need a criminal organization at all? Power meant little when it was all you had, and as such he could not allow himself to just rely on himself, hence his hiring people into his service. ”I may be powerful, but I’m no electrokinetic." Michael noted coyly with a smirk. "That aside, a man is no island and I find success easier to achieve with numbers on your side. So the more powerful metahumans I have in my employ, you could say the easier I find things going my way. In turn my employees prosper.” Which meant, the better I do the more money everyone gets in the end.

Spike shrugged at the answer "Eh I guess it doesn't matter as long as I get power and money. Sure I'll join in, but what exactly do you want with an electrokinetic? I mean my powers are useful in urban environments but I'll be of limited use beyond towns and cities? Unless you are doing the popular controlling the cities crime syndicates approach, because that is just my type of ball game".

Gridshock began grinning and his arms arced with electricity as he then looked at Hyperion and nodded "I'm probably almost definately in but I may need to hear the whole plan first, just to be sure you don't want me to be some kind of EMP bomb or something like that" he laughed at his own statement but it was more nervous than amused, he quite liked his life after all.

”An electrokinetic has many uses, EMP pulses, overall offense and things of that nature. Not that I have any intentions of going beyond the city locations, so you will have plenty of juice to fuel that power of yours.” He hummed softly before looking to the male with a smirk. ”So you could say Crime Syndicate is my game, if that’s what you’re all up for. I could even give you a job to test out your capabilities soon, if that is what you want.” Michael reclined within his seat and sighed, crossing legs and waiting. ”Nothing major at the start of course, perhaps just a minor theft.“

He smiled "All you want to do is test me with a theft? Depending on how minor you're talking I may be interested, and by minor I mean not very minor". He felt a little hurt at how trivial the task may be but then he knew Hyperion was no small fish and he was right, an electrokinetic in a city had several uses.

Truth be told he was lookin foreword to working for this man, he was trembling, with excitement, but it could easily be mistaken for the sheer amount of electricity flowing through him as he said "Whateer you want doing, as long as I'm paid I'll do it"

”Trust me, its never minor.” Hyperion noted with a hint of mischief within his gaze, considering what would be perfect for the electrokinetic seeing how he had a lot that needed to be done. ”And you can trust me on this, the pay is always good.” He would then add, leaning back within his chair and humming softly to himself, running fingers through his hair slowly while considering something. ”To start you off, we’ll be dealing with a rival of mine. They deal in the same business as I do, and well…healthy competition gets old after a while. So you are going to help me deal with them, if you’re up for it.”
