Gazing into The Abyss
New York, a city decimated by a mad man, now only a shell of what it once was. Sean saw the ruined city for what it was, a cesspool now barely keeping itself together, and the few people that clung to this carcass were much like flies. There was no law, and that meant that there was no order. The Titan watched over all of it, with perhaps the distaste of a man watching a swine wallow in its own filth.
This was the place that he would begin his conquest, where the Abyss would truly begin to expand, unlike that failure not long ago in the state of Georgia. The heroes would not be able to save the city now, not when he planned to drag it into The Abyss within one night, not the two weeks that such lower Titans would need top perform the ritual. The dark energy called Nether hung around him like a cloud, and issued one from his mouth in the form of a fine mist.
”Soon now.” The moon hung a pale ugly yellow, full within the sky. Yet it was perhaps key to the ritual, or maybe Sean was just feeling dramatic. Bringing absolute darkness upon this city with the full moon, which held a certain poetic justice to it.
He would strike the death blow to New York, and with that destroy it once and for all, perhaps even make the city his central place of operations, of the initiative of plunging Earth into The Abyss as well. A stray breeze blew by and ruffled his hair slightly, as the diminutive Titan stepped to the edge of one of the only buildings left standing, as one of the bricks loosened and plummeted to the street below. He could hear it, the shattering of a car window accompanied by the alarm.
He stepped forward, and slid down on what appeared to be a construct of the dark energy, landing gracefully on the street below. The titan was dressed simply, in jeans with slightly torn knees, a black t-shirt with a lose fitting hoodie over it and standard style converse. Silver orbs would scan the dim alleyway, though there was nothing moving through it.
With that small diversion done, Sean moved to a larger, more open area to commence the ritual. It would take place in a large four way section, no longer did it have cars driving through it though, all traffic had gone long since. If all went as planned, he would have this done and could return to The Ethereal Isles soon, where he was sure Ouroborous would still be. Sean spread his legs apart, taking a stance as the energy would rise like an aura from him.
In an instant his Nether formed tendrils that began to cut into the concrete, and form what could only be described as a form of spell circle. First was the basic shape, followed by flowing sigils within it, all of them seeming to glow once completed, and when the magical circle was done, it glowed demonically, along with the markings that dominated the left side of his body. His lips curled into a wicked smile, and with a world spoke in a demonically guttural language the sky seemed to split like it had been cut. Darkness then began to spill from it like black blood.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
It had been a long walk to say the least. Valentina had traveled from coast to coast over the course of a few weeks, stopping in random cities and helping out here and there. She had not seen either of her brother for some time now, though she was positive that they were in good health. In the event of any sort of emergency either of them would be able to call the other two to their side to aid them in whatever way they could. The female Valtiari did her best to remain under the radar, focusing most of her work during the dusk and night house. The bone armor which adorned the upper parts of her body was rather offsetting to most people, greatly hindering her assistance during the daylight. It bothered her not though, she did her duty and was pleased.
She had heard of news coming from New York pertaining to a new element that would be used as a construction medium in rebuilding the destroyed city. It sounded like an ideal opportunity for Valentina to help since the calling went out to all walks of life. Even her brothers would be welcome to join. It would be something more simple that the siblings would easily be able to tackle with no high standards or heavy obligations. It was for this reason that she made her way to the city.
She had never been here, so experiencing the true level of destruction first hand was much different. There was almost nothing left. There was no true establishment of any sort of law enforcement, anyone could do anything they wanted at any time. It was almost disgusting to her. Granted, there was not much to actually do in a destroyed city, however upon its reconstruction the habitants of the ruins would be hard pressed to conform back to a lawful lifestyle. It would be here that the Valtiari would make their mark on the world.
The first few hours wondering the city she was pretty much left alone. Nothing bothered her, no one had any desire of talking to her whatsoever it seemed. Not that it was any different with anywhere else she had gone, but it was just the absence of life that gave the abandoned city such an eerie glow. But Valentina was beginning to think that it was not just the absence that was giving off a bad feeling. She had reason to think that there was something else within the depths of the iron wasteland. Something dark and hateful. She slowly made her way around the corners of the buildings, feeling the literal sensation of evil growing closer and closer. In a sudden surge of energy, the sky tore and appear as if it were a wound bleeding. What she could only think to be a black liquid began to spill from the schism. She needed to hurry.
Valentina kicked up the speed and was able to find her way to the intersection where this ritual of sorts was taking place. She hid behind a building about a block away and peaked around the corner to try and see what was happening. She was hit with a wave of energy and instantly pulled back behind the building and tried to think of some way to get closer. Valentina moved down the street parallel and then into a building on the same black as the source of the power. Making her way up she looked down off the roof and saw a young looking boy performing this devastating ritual.
How is someone so young conjuring such power...?
She thought calculating her strategy. She moved back down the same building and hid around the corner, she peaked around again to make sure his position had not altered. The force that she had felt earlier was not as strong, figuring that the close she was it must have acted as the eye of the storm. Be though as it may, this was still extremely hazardous. Whoever this child was came off as a threat and whatever he was doing he needed to be stopped immediately. The was a job that she may need her other brothers for, but first needed to judge her opponent's abilities as to not bring them in blind.
Valentina calmed herself and in a blink of an eye moved from her location into a flying kick coming from the right moving at her full speed. She aimed for the head to cause the most damage and maybe disrupt whatever was going on here, however it may be too late already. The Valtiari was on her highest guard and not leaving anything for chance. The capabilities of this opponent could far surpass her own, and even that of her brothers, but with the feelings being given off by this dark ritual it would be imperative that he be stopped at all costs.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
The maw of The Abyss yawned widely, seeming to take a dark life of its own as the decaying fluids would spill from it like vomit. Anything touched by the substance would instantly start to rot, and turn to a necrotic black before falling away as black powder. Glass had begun to shatter upon contact, and some people would look to the heavens in shocked awe of what had opened over the already decimated city. Sean would have easily done this, if someone did not make it their imperative to stop him, though his eyes kept track of the movement well enough and he deftly moved back a step as the strike moved in front of his face, and the person along with it.
He could already tell that they likely had considerable strength to think that such a strike would perhaps take Sean out of commission. Sure his concentration had been taken off of the ritual, butt hat did not stop what had already begun. The male looked over the new arrival curiously, silver pools seeming to shine within the near blackness of the street. A small amount of the dark liquid splashed down next to him, and the concrete seemed to sputter as if acid had touched it. Things of this realm would either change to what The Abyss saw as fit, or rot away in the process.
Human made things were always the ones that seemed to resist decay most, and they would be the ones that were destroyed by such darkness. Sean reached for the blade hanging on his back, and unsheathed it, the dark blade seeming to pulse with dark energy. It was the perfect conduit for his Nether and perhaps that allowed it such an amazing cutting edge, one that would make quick work of whoever this was. ”So what do I have here? A metahuman trying to stop my ritual?” His katana scratched against the ground and created an irritating sound, metal against concrete.
”You're fast, i'll give you that much, but you'll need more than that.” With a swing, dark energy radiating evil intent was launched from his blade and Sean was moving. The energy wreathed his blade, and he aimed to strike while she was moving out of the way, with a strike that was augmented by his own powerful Nether.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
Missed.
Valentina skidded to a halt a little ways away from the boy, who she now saw was a little older than the first impression. His height had thrown her off. He spoke in a manner which denoted his assumed superiority. No doubt he was powerful. It was obvious as the dark power emanating from the area had not been disturbed, even though he had broken focus to dodge her attack. She would more than likely need to make heavy contact with him and cause some sort of damage in order to properly stop whatever he was conjuring.
The Valtiari child stood at high alert as she stared at this man anticipating his next move. He drew the weapon on his back revealing it to be a katana, only with a dark aura. She could almost see the evil pouring off of the sword, and could no doubt feel it in the air. This was no joke, and if Valentina knew what was good for her she would avoid any sort of contact with that sword at all costs. He spoke again, but Valentina kept quiet behind her high zipped up collar. Immediately following her new opponent swung his sword releasing a powerful wave of energy that would easily decimate Valentina. Her eyes did not leave the boy as she made a heavy side step to the left avoiding the blast. However simultaneously he was coming at her with an attack clearly aiming to tear through her with his sword.
Moving at her own high speeds she moved into his attack, only to drop to the ground into a sliding tackle aiming to take out his feet. If she was able to knock him off balance, she would quickly move back up to her feet and deliver a devastating kick to wherever she could place it. If the swift female was not lucky enough to land the low blow at the man's legs, after clearing his body she would roll back onto her hands and spring forward aiming to connect with his body a powerful drop kick. And if by chance that attack connected it would send him flying away from him allowing her land on her feet and plot her next advance.
In wielding such a powerful weapon, there was no doubt that he would be skillful with it. Judging by his swift movements he would indeed be a challenge to deal with in close combat, but may pose even more of a threat with long distance attacks. Since Valentina excelled in hand to hand combat, it would be essential for her to stay close to this man. How things were going she may be able to hold him off and get a better read on his abilities for the time being, but she felt that sooner or later she would need to call upon her brethren. This was not a battle to be fought alone.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
This woman had skill, and that was made obvious by how she managed to survive not only one, but two of his strikes, and without any damage upon herself. She had speed, and the skill to make it worth something, which meant that Sean would have to put more effort into this if he wanted to kill her quickly, but that meant he did not intend to toy with her before the kill. She would lash out with a swift kick in return, but Sean had seen it coming and reacted accordingly, moving out of the way of such a powerful blow with but a simple movement, dodging by a hair. While he could tell she was less skilled than him, her speed made up for it in some respects, but not by too much.
He followed her next movement, which was some sort of jump kick, which Sean dodged with a rather wide sidestep. Pale, and cold fingers wrapped around his katana's hilt, and gripped it tightly, perhaps as if only to keep it from falling out of his grasp. A brutal, yet efficient fighting style, one that a lesser combatant would have fallen against surely, perhaps even one equal to her would have found victory an uncertain thing. Still, Sean was confident enough within his own abilities, enough to know that he could defeat her if he put more effort into his fighting, instead of playing with the prey that had so willingly run into the predator.
”You're not going to get anywhere with that kind of fighting.” Sean considered his next move, perhaps something flashier instead of a simple ruse with a follow up attack. The energy formed what appeared to be a shroud of black on his back, and from it sprouted ten grasping hands of Nether, all reaching out for the woman that hid behind the collar.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
She got lucky, and he was right. She was not going to get anywhere with the way that she was fighting at the moment. He was only slightly slower than herself, however their fighting styles differed in such a way that benefited Valentina. This boy had more broad fighting style that was easier to read, but because of his speed made it extremely dangerous. A single slash from that sword and she would more than likely be down for the count.
Since her kick had missed, she used the momentum she had to allow herself to slide further away from him. Seeing already what kind of power he held she would definitely to remain close enough to do damage, but far enough in order to react properly. However, her plan was quickly foiled when ten arms of energy sprouted from him and immediately went towards her. The ends were shaped like human hands clearly aiming to capture her. She swiftly moved from her position, dodging the hands has efficiently as she could, but they were catching up to her. He in sync with his own abilities, it seemed like he was beginning to predict where she would land next and sent the tenrdills to that location. Only at the last second upon touching down was she able to move away just in time, but that small window of opportunity was closing quickly. She moved one last time launching herself into the air, which gave her a couple of seconds. Putting herself in the air would not have been something easily predicted as it also put her in a corner, not allowing any further moves. Checkmate. Valentina twisted her body a couple of times, narrowly dodging a couple of the hands. But it was time to call for help.
The ten tentacles of energy began to converge on her from all directions, and it appeared that the blond was done for. There was the sound of shattering glass and the the Valtiari child rocketing down to the ground. She laded hard, in a crouching position right next to another blonde individual in a white outfit. Yvvone Valtiari. He had created a barrier around Valentina at the last minute, even though it was not strong enough to completely hold back the attack it gave her a base to move off of a precious moment allowing her to propel herself back down to the ground. Although Yvvone was not the only new participant. Giovanni Valtiari had also joined the fray appearing on the opposite side of the man they were now facing. Valentina had already relayed all the information about their opponent to them. They were aware of his speed, sword and apparent abilities thus far only for more information to be found out by the trio. The three of them were almost obviously related. Mostly by their blonde hair, but the similarities in height, face shape, skin tone. But the fact that they were triplets from a highly trained family may not come immediately to their opponent.
Only seconds after their arrival, they all drew their swords. Yvvone and Giovanni's glowed with a purple color while Valentina's remained inactive. She vanished in a burst of speed, following orbs of energy began to appear around Yvvone and Giovanni. Yvvone's were a transparent purple color, while Giovanni's were a solid pearlescent purple and blue color. From opposite sides of their opponent they began to quickly move their swords in a figure eight motion sending the orbs they had created forward while also creating dozens more firing those as well. Yvvone's transparent orbs grew spikes and they flew the air, and could be broken by this man's energy as he had witnessed mere moments earlier. On the other hand, Giovanni's orbs would explode upon contact or if he was able to get them within a close proximity of this man. They hoped this onslaught would help to better occupy the hand like extensions coming off this man, and even better yet cause some damage.
While simultaneously firing these orbs of energy at him, the both of them would create thin discs of energy underneath their feet and begin to rise up into the air eventually putting them on top of what remained of the building that lined the streets. The sphere fired by either of the men that had not been destroyed would linger in seemingly random positions in the air, remaining some-what out of range of their opponent.
Meanwhile, Valentina would move in an out of this boy's path of vision occasionally attempting to land a hit with her sword. Her main objective in this combo was to obscure his vision from the incoming orbs and move out of the way at the last moment allowing a small window for a proper reaction. There was a point where she had to dodge as well as to not get hit herself, but with their senses so in tune with each other they were able to plot and time things perfectly, all without speaking a word or even visually connecting with each other. Hopefully with this added fire power they would be able to stop what ever demonic ritual this individual had been performing.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
The girl was barely dancing around his many attacks, all of them coming closer and closer to hitting their target. The girl was fast, and skilled, if this were any other opponent, victory would have been hers, but this was not her day it seemed. Simple hit and run tactics would not help her, not against the King of The Titans, a being that stood a paragon among an already powerful race, one that stood at the top so to speak. His eyes were following each move, making sure to catch each small detail of how she moved, and to take in what movement signaled where she would move, and that slowly gave him the advantage. He would look through her style soon enough, and then adapt on how to take her down by using any small flaw she had, even if it was minute to her own eyes.
Inch by inch he was gaining upon her, and the last few attacks she could only dodge by an inch, and then he would make a move for the kill. However, his killing strike would be stopped by something, an invisible barrier that shattered upon contact but gave her enough time to accurately move out of the way, and to land safely on the ground, though what else he was was interesting. A man wearing white much like hers and he even resembled her in some ways, which cemented some kind of relationship between the two, and he could also feel the Nether radiating from him as well. Was he the only one that would appear, or did they have another? His pride as a titan dictated otherwise, seeing as how he considered even two not enough, but then again he wasn't going to waste his time looking for a hypothetical rat.
The hands retreated, forming a tight perimeter around Sean, making an almost impenetrable defense around the Titan, who would have to figure out what the capabilities of his strange new foe was and how to counter act them. He would watch as he drew his blade, which radiated with a strange energy unlike the females, and perhaps denoted that it would do something as well, perhaps project something even. Would he be aware of his abilities, or be as unaware as the one that was fighting before? Sean snarled, perhaps a little annoyed that he was now facing more than one, but then again they would all die the same, so no reason to get upset. If Ouroboros could deal with more than one, he was sure that he could do just as good, if not better. Couldn't go around smearing his own name in the mud.
The hands shifted and the ends of them became sharp looking blades, sharp enough to puncture anything that touched them. In an instant he began moving his blade, forming strange orbs along with that motion, more and more of them forming as he continued the strange motions, perhaps preparing to attack the Titan with the pure numbers of them, and hoping to shatter his defenses that way. The strange trasnparent orbs grew spikes, and then flew out towards Sean, threatening painful injury if they connected, but he had no intentions of allowing such a grevious oversight to occur in the first place, not at all. While keeping a large amount of the extensions at his back, Sean let some fly out ahead to meet the attack with overwhelming force, slashing out and destroying them one by one, and some limbs seemed to branch out from the others to deal with ones that slipped past the initial attack line.
Some of his constructs were also devoted to blocking the females attack, as well as lashing back at her, though it all came down to a game of Cat and mouse, which only annoyed the Titan even more. He was surprised when there was the sounds of explosions hitting the flanks of his defenses, and tearing a large hole that he had to refill with more Nether, though that within itself did not impede him any. All it did was prove that he was dealing with another person, one that could produce explosives, and that made them dangerous, more so than the others. He saw what looked like the the male creating a disc of that energy below his feet and elevating his position further above the battlefield, and making it harder to kill him when the time came, while he was likely still able to produce his same damn energy constructs. He would need to think of another way to deal with these bastards and their synchronized combat.
Sean turned to scan for the other but all he saw was another person moving into the air, perhaps the one that had created the strange energy that exploded, and that meant that he now had a small lock on where all three of his foes were, so Sean would then need to get to the part where he killed them. The hole within the sky let out what could only be described as a loud belching noise, though it was demonic in origin and then more of the black, poisonous sludge burst forward from it, like a river it seemed but all at once. Sean knew what it was, a material that could only be described as liquified Nether, or something that would act almost like magma to a mortal being, much like those that he fought. Being half mortal himself, he was likely to feel some effects if he made contact with the damned substance. Still, perhaps the ritual would prove useful within itself, seeing as how this stuff was likely to melt away the skin of anyone not extremely durable, and Sean doubted that any of them had a thick enough skin to allow such a resistance. Some of the stuff landed on the orbs, dragging them down to the ground and setting off the ones that explodes, causing the loud ringing sounds to sounds off loudly within the night. Sean raised himself slightly on a platform of Nether as he moved above the tide of the black ilk that seemed to spread rapidly once it touched the ground, but the circle would go unharmed.
How would the speedster adapt now?

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
The man was coping extremely well with the pressing attacks. At the moment it seemed like the three of them were fighting on par with this one man, and that was not acceptable for the level of warriors that the Valtiari were. With the full force of this team baring down on him, they should be able to overcome this dark sorcerer in no time.
This man began to rise up as well in the same manner that Yvvone and Giovanni were, which is actually what they were working for. Although, what they had no expected was more activity from the gaping hole in the sky. It made a disturbing sound and a black liquid oozed out of it in large quantities falling to the ground like a dark waterfall. They way that it hit and destroyed the orbs let the triplets know that this substance was not to be touched. Whatever it was, it had made its way to the ground and spread so quickly Valentina had not had time to relocate. Yvvone created a series of energy discs for Valentina to follow which landed her safely on top of a nearby building. She was breathing heavier than usual, no surprisingly though she had been moving at full speed for quite some time. Her two brothers would be able to handle this man for a couple of minutes while she caught he breath.
The both of them also positioned themselves a top buildings on opposite sides of the streets, having rotated since rising into the air. The continuous firing of the orbs had slowed down, hoever these was now an adequate amount still floating in the air around their opponent. The both sheathed their swords and the few dozen orbs, both transparent and not, rapidly moved around the man shifting into some sort of pattern. All of the clear orbs had created an outside perimeter while the explosive orbs remained on the inside. Instantly following the positioning a thin bean of energy ran through all of the transparent orbs connecting every single one of them. It was a sphere composed of hexagonal shapes, and the openings closed up with the same energy enclosing their target. Finally, Giovanni instructed the explosive orbs to detonate within the sphere. The contained explosion would hopefully dead out a heavy amount of damage. The prison cracked slightly, but remained intact waiting to see the smoke clear and settle from the inside to see if they had succeeded in damaging their foe.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
The nether plat form below his feet would elevate him high into the sky, raising him higher as he felt the wind blow his hair into a slightly messy fashion. Still, they would continue to press on with their multiple attacks, perhaps hoping that Sean would slip and then they could land a fatal blow upon him. ”So its begun to expand already.” Sean noted with a certain wistfulness, as the ooze would continue to spill out and the earthly substances would turn black upon contact. Smoke rose from the ground below, drawn up by the loud explosions caused by the energy that one of the triplets had caused, and his eyes also followed after the one that leapt to higher ground on small discs of transparent energy, which was more of their touching teamwork. ”I must admit, these mortals are more trouble than I thought.”
He continued to watch the two males intently, seeing that the female was tiring out, from the constant movement that Sean had forced her into, and that was only adding to the advantage that he had, one that he would not allow to be lost. Orbs formed, more and more until they all surrounded him, perhaps in an attempt to close off all venues of escape, and to blow him away with one large explosion, though Sean was not expecting what had happened next, and that meant that his defense was not ready either. Around him formed a sphere, one that was used to contain him and the explosion that was to follow, and damn did he have little time to form a defense. Nether moved as fast as was possible, forming a barrier around the titan before the explosion hit, and the smoke filled the dome that cracked slightly from the immense force.
His barrier barely held, but it covered up his vital areas, and all he felt was a slight stining in his right arm, but damn was that acute. Sean could feel the cold blood flow down his arm, probably from a gash formed by the explosion, and he used some of his Nether to staunch the bleeding, and to keep his attention on those that had injured him. From the smoke rose a thin blade of Nether that sliced through the weakened exterior, and cut it in half, one of the sections sliding a little before falling hard to the ground, and disintegrating in the black sludge below, while Sean and his now glowing silver pools scanned for his foes, which were once again on both sides of him. ”I think its time I show you a little more of my power.”
Nether radiated off of him like a fountain, piercing the sky and raising to the split and seeming to draw power from it. Around Sean formed what looked like a pitch black sphere of pure dark energy, one that radiated red energy and malicious intent, and one that he was sure that they would not be able to simply dodge or block. With a powerful mental command, Sean let it expand ar a rapid place, destroying all that stood within its path as Sean simply fed more energy into it where it was lacking, and forced it to expand more and more. Even the sludge would yield to the rage of The Titan king, as his power would expand until it consumed the Valtiari trio whole.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
The two males cursed under their breath when they saw the barrier sliced in two and destroyed. It fell to the ground and was consumed by the dark liquid on the ground. Valentina stood up and moved by Giovanni since they were the closest together.
This opponent may be one of the more difficult ones that we have faced
I do agree sister. Do you have an strategic input, Giovanni?
It appears as if we are going to have to use a constant force in order to overwhelm him. Then, Valentina, try to strike him. However the window of opportunity that Yvvone and I will try to create will not last for long, so you must be ready.
The three of them were conversing telepathically trying to plot accordingly to this powerful opponent. Valentina sheathed her sword across her back and crossed her arms under her chest as the three of them looked on their opponent waiting for their next move to take action.
The man in the air boasted that he was to display more of his power, and the trio braced themselves fro the worst. Energy rocketed off him into the sky, entering the schism that he had created earlier. Whatever sort of sorcery he had performed earlier it appeared like he was pulling power from it. They would need to find some way to close it, however with none of them being proficient in the magic arts, it may prove to be easier said than done. After gathering the energy, a sphere formed around him. It was as dark as pitch preventing any sort of light from piercing it. Whatever it was, it began to expand in all directions at once. And fast. Anything it touched was instantly destroyed, and the trio was not going to be subdued from such a basic all encompassing attack.
Giovanni created an energy construct in the shape of a large bird and began to soar at his full speed away from the sphere. On the flip side of the attack, Yvvone created a similar platform and began to move away from it, however he would not be fast enough to clear the crest of the sphere. Valentina moved as fast as she could from her position, around the expanding attack stepping on small discs created by Yvvone as she was led towards him. He wrapped his arms around her and the both of them took off moving at very high speeds away from the ever expanding orb.
The three of them had traveled about three and a half to four city blocks before they noticed that the orb had stopped expanding. Now it just stood there, giving off an ominous aura. The undeniably eerie presence of the dark sphere could probably be felt from miles away, but would more than likely not draw any attention to the area. Something so evil tended to scare away life. It was even aparent as the rats and various other rodents that roamed the city could be seen moving away from the energy's point of origin. Birds were even flying away in the opposite direction. It was not safe here, and all of nature knew it.
The three were unsure on how long the sphere would remain, so Giovanni prepared for whatever might follow. He manifested three more giant bird constructs and sent them in a wide triangle formation around the sphere while he remained perched on his own staring down the black abysmal object. Once the orb retracted itself, the birds would be quick to move in and detonate as close as they could to the target of the dark energy manipulator. His explosion earlier had caused some minor damage, but he thought nothing of it. He was unsure if he could see the outside of his own barrier, as they could not see in. It would not foil his plan, there would just need to be more rethinking done before another attack is initiated.
Valentina landed on top of a building, now standing with Yvvone they looked out towards what they were facing. From their location they could not directly see Giovanni, however his bird constructs did come into view once they were positioned. Valentina and Yvvone were instructed to stand ready for anything. Giovanni was skilled, but if he needed rescue it would take some time to get to him, even with Valentina's blazing speed. This was a battle that would need to have every step planned out. No faults, no mistakes. Failure was not an option.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
The all consuming orb of Nether would expand, fed more by the one that had created it in the first place. The one that called themselves the Titan king, and the one that would wreath the world in an eternal darkness and decay. Anything that touched the orb would blacken, and be reduced to black powder, picked up by an unknown breeze and blown away. Even if New York was a heavily damaged place, nearly empty of anyone smart enough to have moved to another city, some still saw the darkness that rose upon the dark horizon and they felt the overwhelming darkness that came with it. Evil was once again at work within the city that was destroyed, and that meant it was likely to see chaos once again.
Sean could not see their movements beyond the ever oppressive darkness, but he was sure that it had sent them scurrying about, as the rip within the sky would only continue to increase in size. The darkness soothed him, the pain within his arm nothing now, even if the blood was only staunched by the Nether that wrapped around it like a bandage. The Titan would reach out once the orb had finished its expansion, his hand breaking the murky black surface. Inch by inch Sean emerged, seeming to be reborn in some ways, his markings glowing darkly as he pulled himself out. It did not destroy him, but seemed to accommodate the male, who now used the dark destructive energy as some kind of platform.
All life other than the metahumans fled from Sean, and any plant life, as well as insects too weak were consumed by the overwhelming Nether energy. He could see that his foes had not been killed by the attack, but that only meant that he would have to try a little harder to kill them. More of the constructs would fly at Sean, in the shape of birds, but Sean was ahead of them, producing some constructs from the dense Nether he had created, and sent them out to meet the attack. They met with a resounding explosion, one that created large amounts of smoke within the sky, and somewhat obscured his vision from his foes.
Still, Sean could see the outline of the target, and that meant that he could go into motion, the Nether around him perhaps even a stable platform for the others, its touch destruction seeming to have passed. Still, now he was on a platform of sorts that he had absolute control over, and that meant the Titan had the advantage as long as he stood on it. IN what seemed like an instant he had changed the field towards his own advantage, and that meant that it was likely that these three would have to fight harder if they wanted to win. Once Sean was fully free from the tar that was his Nether construct, he pressed a palm on the thick substance, finally seeming to enjoy this little fight that he was having with them.
”I suppose I’ve underestimated all of you. Trust me though, I won't make that mistake again.” Below him the black energy would twist and contort, forming what looked like the head of a black dragon, slim and serpentine in appearance that had glowing red eyes. Gaping jaws would open in a mockery of a roar, before quickly moving from its position, and barreling towards the one that had created the explosive constructs, seeming to act out on its own. The mass of the large orb of Nether seemed not to budge in the creation of the construct, thought it was still a considerable amount of energy to create. He was sure that they would have a hard time dealing with something like that, especially considering that even if he managed to avoid it, the draconic construct would simply turn around and continue to pursue him until they managed to destroy it.
All the while, Sean would watch, devoting part of his attention on controlling this monster, while also trying to make sure that he was protected against anything they threw at him.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
Giovanni was a bit disappointed seeing that his explosives did not cause any sort of damage, however it was to be expected from such a worthy opponent. Valentina and Yvvone spotted him nearly 8 blocks away in the other directions, they did not have a clear visual but the location did help them in more ways than one. The man they were targeting rose from his pitch black energy cocoon and placed his hand on its surface. The sphere of power began to undulate to eventually produce what Giovanni could deduce as the head of a dragon. He watched as it's entire body began to take shape, it then roared to life as its demonic red eyes sparked to life as it let out a terrifying screech. Not wasting a moment of its existence it launched itself straight towards Gio.
Valentina and Yvvone instantly moved into action. Yvvone created a platform to move towards the action which Valentina sped forward from rooftop to rooftop. Their enemy had made the ground impossible to reach due to the odd energy which had flooded the streets, forcing Valentina to remain atop the roofs. Being the only one incapable of flight it slightly handicapped her in this ordeal. Yvvone played it safe by launching handfuls of semi-translucent orbs of his own energy which sped towards this conjuror. Spikes protruded from their surface as they approached their target, some came in close attempting to strike him while others fired their spikes out at him from a distance. Yvvone would keep this up at a steady pace that would not exhaust him too quickly, while keeping at a relatively safe distance from him and continuing to move closer to his siblings.
The dragon rushed towards Giovanni at an impressive speed closing the gap between them quickly. At the last moment before impact, Gio flipped off of his bird construct moving to the right as the dragon caught the fowl-like creature in its mouth and began to turn to continue after him. He detonated the bird causing a very large explosion, however the dragon powered through seemingly un-phased by the attack. The Valtiari sibling formed another bird, however this one had two sets of wings on either side of its body allowing it to move more nimbly through the air. The dark dragon continued its pursuit trailing closely behind Gio who began making more smaller explosive constructs which he released behind him that easily fell into the belly of the beast but did not detonate. He dropped down low to the ground, but still staying at a comfortable elevation above the black energy that coated the ground. He weaved quickly left and right through buildings and different streets with the dragon persistently following. The point of this was to move out of the other man's view.
He continued at full speed towards a the side of a building and right before impact he shot straight up, tricking the dragon and causing it to slam into the building. With these couple of seconds that he was out of sight of the construct, he created a clone of himself on top of the bird which continued to fly upwards while he himself ducked and rolled into one of the levels of the building. He was able to skid to a stop right as the dragon tore through the floor heading straight up and out to cut off what it thought it target was at the top of the building. Giovanni ran through the building to the other side where he was swiftly meet by Valentina where they would hide out of view for a moment. His clone cleared the building and began to head straight towards the dragon's master with the beast close behind. It appeared like Gio was trying to have the Dragon run straight into its creator, however that plan was foiled when the dragon caught up to the construct, and running past the man on top of the orb of energy. However, once the mid second of the dragon ran past him, Giovanni detonated not only the smaller constructs that it had swallowed moments earlier, but also the larger bird and clone. Hopefully the two explosions meeting half way would cause enough pressure and build up in the beast at such a rapid rate that it would cause it to burst. And with it running so close to its master, if it burst hopefully it would cause some damage to him as well.
Meanwhile Giovanni began build energy in order to create a larger construct while remaining at a location hopefully unknown to their opponent. Now it was Yvvone's job to keep him occupied until he finished. Valentina would be an important part of this strategy which is why she also remained hidden with Giovanni. This was a difficult opponent, but not impossible. The Valtiari will prevail.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
The dragon was complete and going after the two that Sean was now trying to kill, thus beginning the next stage within this conflict. He would not allow them to get an easy break within the conflict, and of anything, Sean wanted to kill them quickly and perhaps return to The Abyss, or maybe even The Ethereal Isles where it was likely that Ouroboros would be doing whatever he did. Silver pools followed the movements of the blonde men on their flying constructs, making that sure nothing escaped his sight, and that he could easily counter anything that they threw at him personally. The thing would follow after them with an amazing amount of speed, but with their excellent coordination, Sean felt that there was something more going on, as if they were more than just some well trained heroic types.
Sean could sense some abnormalities within his construct, but there was nothing that should have given him cause for alarm, or worry. If they tried anything, he would just rev things up a few more decibels, and if that did not work, then Sean would simply allowed them to languish in an attempt to stop the ritual at hand. Unless they held an iota of magical knowledge when it came to Titan rituals, then defeating Sean at this point would have gotten them nothing. Honestly his part of the ritual had ended a minute or so ago, when his sphere had stopped its expansion, but then again did they know that? Hopefully not, otherwise this could have gotten ugly yet. After the whole chase scene, the draconic creation of Nether would reappear and Sean saw that it was….glowing?
It was within that moment an explosion erupted from within its belly, coupled with an external explosion that caused the black construct to burst, though none of the belching flames from the blast managed to hit Sean, as they licked across a barrier that was quickly erected from the solid energy below him. ”These insects are giving me more trouble than I care to deal with.” Sean muttered annoyed to himself as the amorphous mass beneath him would begin to shift and to mold into something else, something that seemed ominous almost in make. ’I guess it’s time I got a little creative.” Sean noted to himself as the energy beneath him seemed to morph, forming something around. It seemed that the sphere had only moved to once again surround Sean and then in an instant spines of the energy would stretch out a good block, slicing through nearly anything it touched, and then like a blender they spun.

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
Yvvone kept up on his attacks, mostly just to draw the attention of their ritual bearing opponent. Valentina was watching Giovanni's back as he prepared their next attack. However, his window of opportunity was closing, and quickly. His attempt at a more stealth style explosion attack had unfortunately failed as this boy was able to efficiently guard against it. With such skill in these energy based techniques it was going to prove more that difficult to land a hit on him. Hopefully upping the level on their offense they might be able to get something in. It seemed like the large sphere of energy which he stood on top of would prove to be a source of much of his offensive and defensive constructs. They might need to find a way to disrupt the large ball of energy or disrupt the large pools that were deposited on the ground floor of the city earlier in the conflict.
Giovanni was almost complete with what he had planned when he got a report from Yvvone on how the sphere on which he stood was beginning to exert strange behaviors. It was twisting and changing shape. It was an evil looking object whatever it was and Valentina pleaded with Gio for them to leave their position as it was no longer safe however he insisted that he would finish in time. From Yvvone's input, which they all shared, it was clear that he would not make it in time and all three of them knew it. The twisting orb formed spikes that protruded along its horizontal axis and extended outwards in an entire block one of which crashed through the level of the building that the two of the three Valtiari siblings were hiding in.
"It's time to go Giovanni, you've had long enough. We need to move. Now." Said Valentina. Giovanni remained silent.
"They're beginning to rotate. Evacuate immediately."
Yvvone gave the warning and without another thought Valentina grabbed Giovanni and moved as fast as she could with another passenger to another safe location. Safe was a very lightly used term in these situations. Valentina had sustained a small amount of damage from moving through some of the debris in her way as she rapidly relocated into another building, though it was nothing she couldn't shake off or ignore.
"My movements are doing little to nothing to this man. I do hope you are almost finished. I'm going to begin my retreat." And with that Yvvone began to move up and away from the ritualistic individual to give a more birds eye view, hopefully outside of his reach. Giovanni by this time had finished his creation and instructed Valentina to move away. She did as instructed by moving rapidly to the roof of the building and launching herself straight upwards. Giovanni opened his hands and a light that seemed brighter than the sun shown through the darkness of this sorcerer's creations. In the next instant it exploded into life tearing open the building it previously stood in sending debris flying in all directions. Most of it being obliterated by the spinning spies of the dark sphere or being devoured by the dark sludge below.
From the dust rose the head of a Dragon which was quickly followed by the rest of it. It was massive, dwarfing buildings and flying above the rubble. It glowed with a radiant pearl-essence of multiple shades of blues, purples and whites. Giovanni stood on its head and Valentina landed gracefully next to him crossing her arms under her chest as she stood. Steam rose from the dragon's mouth as is timely flapped its wings to keep itself a float. The spinning blades of their opponent's sphere had leveled about a block more of the city, and if this continued for much longer there would not be much of a city left. Valentina grabbed the underneath of her jacket and unzipped it, pulling upwards and revealing the bone structure which she had hidden underneath it. She drew her sword and the dragon closed its mouth, following part of its tail collapsed upwards as the dragons cheeks puffed out. Simultaneously Giovanni manifested another construct. And what occurred next happened in such a harmonious fashion it became almost obvious that these three were more than just a heroic trio. They had decided to throw caution to the wind with their linked abilities, as it was more crucial to execute a perfectly timed, perfectly coordinated attack rather than to keep an opponent in wonder especially against someone of this caliber.
The dragon shot the construct that had formed in its mouth at a blazing speed towards their opponent, Valentina launched herself forward at an even more incredible speed and touched down on the speeding beast for only an instant and pushed herself upwards. The construct banked a hard left while Giovanni shot off the flying explosive he had created straight towards their target.
Valentina began to lose her momentum as she headed up, however right at that point Yvvone created a platform for her to push off of allowing her to shoot down towards this man at her full speed. The two explosive constructs closed in at the same rapid rate from front and behind while Valentina charged in from above.
The order of events was timed too perfectly to be judged by eyesight alone. Once within range Valentina slashed with her sword and then was quickly shielded by Yvvone right as the two flying constructs were detonated as close as possible to their target. It was understood that going in so close for an attack was extremely risky, and Yvvone was prepared to protect her before she got her chance to attack. Giovanni would be intently focused on controlling these two flying creatures to make sure they would avoid any sort of attempts at them before they were within a proper blast radius. The barrier that Yvvone plotted to construct around his sister would be reinforced and designed to not only withstand the blasts, but also use their power in her benefit to push her out and away from the action so that she can prep to attack once again.
This was most definitely one of the more difficult opponents they had ever faced, and there would be no mercy shown from the Valtiari Trio

Re: Gazing into The Abyss
The all consuming sphere and its dangerous tendrils would lash out, and eviscerate anything that touched the nether cursed material that composed it. Sean couldn’t really see through the darkness that he had enveloped himself in, but the Nether and its fluctuations was something that he was more than confident in. Even the most disciplined teams would find themselves falling in the way of such destructive potential, one that level city blocks within its wake and one that lowered the greatest of men to nothing more than decaying piles of rotting tissue. If one allowed this power to continue its destructive spree, the city of New York would be nothing but a pile of rubble within a matter of hours, and that was something that he was sure the mortals would not want. Anyone with a magical sense could feel the dark energy radiating from the fallen city, and it was likely that they were shivering from that dark force alone.
Suspended within the muck, Sean arched his back as his eyes drifted half shut, and body would simply hover about within the great thing. He was not fully aware of the powerful construct that was now forming outside, but something told him that there was a danger to him forming, and that meant that he would have to pick up the pace. His mind commanded that the energy given physical form around him move to take a better shape and one that would perhaps allow for a more efficient way of dealing with his foes, who were skilled. What seemed like grasping fingers would form from the orb, as the blades that destroyed so much would retreat back within the construct, sending ripples across its non Newtonian surface. The fact that the energy had taken such a strange form was not only unsettling, but perhaps a sign that the change within Nether was possible.
He could hear the sound of an explosion, as something seemed to batter the exterior of the large construct, forcing the limbs that were taking form to splatter apart and fall into its surface. For a moment that would seem to stop it from moving at all, the thing freezing in place as the luminescent hue about the orb would continue. It would stay frozen for a moment, any attack upon it slowly witling away the thick exterior until it would hit what looked like a solid layer of Nether, like a concrete wall without the change of giving away to anything. Something was happening within that orb, but one could not really figure out what that something was, other than it was going to be deadly. The Titan King still suspended within the muck.
