Fatal Attraction (Mist & Photon - Invite only)
Adirondack Mountains of New York State, a winding terrain that was the perfect holiday destination for families who wanted to escape the dreary happenings of city life and experience the gentle, sublime wilderness that offered great camping grounds and various other recreational activities. Above the hum of the whistling wind and the moaning trees, children would scuttle around the forestry, under the watchful eyes of their parents and explore the lush greenery that as so foreign to any person who originated from the concrete jungle. Nature had a way of bringing out the best in people, its calming and motherly qualities were just a few aspects that enticed people to return to the camping grounds. Although in some cases, where a person has not immersed themselves in the slightly disconcerting ritual of camping there will always be the few shocks and surprises that come along freely with doing so, maybe they'll encounter a lot of mud, possibly a bear or in the most rarest of occasions a psychotic concubine who they had merely, and unexpectedly bumped into on their adventures into the great pine forests of New York.
A young couple, more than likely originating from the upper east side of manhattan had wandered off into the grand expanse of the forest, their preppy white and blue outfits a sore sight to behold amongst the soft greens and gentle earthy colours that swamped the surrounding areas. What was originally planned to be an afternoon of romantic frolicking and passionate love making was soon turned into something much worse, something particularly henoius that if the other campers were to find out what had happened the Adirondack Mountains would never see the tourism industry again, all because an oriental princess had her afternoon stroll interrupted with the grunts and squeals down by the lake. Su Daji, the famed demon of old and self-proclaimed favourite of Elena Marie was on another exploration of the American wilderness, she wanted to immerse herself in the grand landscape, make friends with the animals and have a break from the unbearable antics of Tek and Volt back Shade Headquarters. However this woman of instinct, a primal almost feral sort, was never one to ignore the amusing antics of the 'peasants' around her and when the soft groans near the edge of the lake caught her ear she simply had to see what the fuss was about.
The young couple did not see her coming, nor did she expect them to, they were simply too focused on each other that the arrival of shorter than average woman was the last thing to cross their mind, the arrival of bear would have been less surprising. However the blonde haired girl, panting between the haze of lust and passion caught sight of the petite sword wielding woman and gasped, eyes wide in a mixture of horror and embarrassment. Daji wrinkled her nose in disgust as the naked duo shuffled frantically, not knowing what to do with their private audience as they scrambled for their clothes..desperate to cover up. "Oh don't stop..it was fun watching him try", she said flatly brushing her fringe out of her face as she took one silent, predatory step forward, "Now that I think about it, neither of you were trying,,", she snorted, biting her lips as she gazed at their blushing bodies. They were barely adults, probably 18 or 19...young lovers if one were to use a dictionary definition. The boy, who had lost all libido upon her arrival, was shielding his lover all the while trying to cover up his own body.
"Wh-what do you want?" he sputtered out, not knowing whether to look the delicate yet deadly woman in the face, opting to give her frantic glances. Daji raised her eyebrow, surprised at his level of clarity in this particular situation, "Oh you know, just on my afternoon stroll.." she said, hopping forward and proceeding to circle his body as she stroked her porcelain finger across his cheekbone, the girl behind him whimpering as Daji did so, "And here i find you two..." she whispered, the venom in her voice becoming more potent as she dragged her nail across his cheek making him swallow in a mixture of fear and uncertainty. ""It's a shame really...such a beautiful girl wasting her time on a worthless rodent like yourself" she uttered, glancing at the shivering girl behind him before clasping his face between her two hands, a cold burn sneaking its way through his skin as he began to breathe more heavily. A twisted grin spread across her lips, revealing canine teeth that would frighten almost any mortal unlucky enough to face her.
"But..But we jus -", the boy had no time to finish his sentence, a bubbling gurgle erupting from his lips instead as something sliced through his soft, warm exposed neck a startled look on his youthful face as blood sputtered from his quivering lips, some of it landing on the woman in front of him. She had sliced his throat, folding her fan immediately afterwards as she knocked his dying body to the side, a growing pool of crimson flowing freely from his neck as his girlfriend stood horrified, silent and clutching her body as she stared at her lover on the ground, his last breath escaping his lips as the air around him grew cold, he was gone. She stared wide eyed at Daji, panting..not knowing whether to cry or scream as her recently tanned legged buckled underneath her. She collapsed, shaking as she did so..too afraid to look at the murderous woman in front of her. This girl was now completely exposed, both physically and mentally and as the silent footsteps approached her quivering body she managed to utter some words, "..A-are..y-you gonna-a kill m-me to?" she blubbered hyperventilating as she did so.
"Of course not, I'll have some fun with you first...and if you manage to excite me I may keep you", replied the cheery voice of the woman who was now crouching over her body, an insane snarl on her face as she leaned in closer. That was all that as said, nothing left to say. Daji always got her way, especially with beautiful peasants and for the longest hour on earth passion and horror became one as the ageless princess revelled in a pure state of ecstasy and primal lust...
***The sky had turned into a vibrant scarlet, a warmer hue than the blood that stained the grass next the crossed legged women, however regardless of the comforting breeze and the chirping birds nothing could excuse the stench of death and horror that reeked near the lake. What would have been an afternoon filled with the exploration of love and youth had been massacred by a monster, a relentless creature bent on satisfying her own needs. This woman sat still, legs crossed and sword laid out on her bare legs as her eyes glazed over the calm waters. A family of ducks floated by, the mother defiantly treading the water as her children eagerly followed behind her, letting out high pitche quacks as they floate past Daji. She delicately tied up her signature braid and stretched her arms, cracking her shoulders as she did so, the ducks were a cute addition to the picture perfect view and the oriental woman briefly grinned at the ducklings frantic attempts at keeping up with their mother.
Turning to her left Daji furrowed her sculpted brow as she casually observed the sight next to her. The beaten and bruised body of the girl was sprawled out on the ground next to her. She barely alive and almost dead, heavy grey tears rolling down her once youthful face as her body slowly rejected what life there was left in her. 'You could have just enjoyed it...your mistake not to", Daji said rather flatly, disappointed that the pretty blonde teenager wasn't as entertaining as her previous 'playthings'. Daji gently brushed the girls hair from her soulless blue eyes one last time before letting the meek, raspy breaths play their final chorus.
The girl perished, her last breath disappearing into the ever flowing current of the air above her.
It was silent, the scenery took on a magnificent hue of warm colours but the two corpses sprawled next to the Daji planted a macabre tattoo on the grand landscape. Taking in a deep breathe the woman closed her eyes, lolling her head back as she listened to sounds of the birds and the gentle moans of the lake and its steady movements. Nature witnessed her crime and yet still went along its business, it had no right to tell the princess that she was a monster. She was royal, she was judgement, she was death herself and as she quietly meditated the recent activities that barely quenched her desires something made her ears perk up. It was an unnatural sound, something or someone was coming...she could hear it...and she was ready..

Re: Fatal Attraction (Mist & Photon - Invite only)
Alex had been busy discovering the secrets of his abilities for the past few months, and now it was time for a little break. Sometimes the ideas would come to him so quickly that he couldn't quite decide what to do first, and it was at these times that he often wished to get away from things, to gain some perspective. While his country home was peaceful enough, it presented way too many distractions from his meditation. After completing three separate programs that he had been developing while trying to meditate, he packed his car with a few essential pieces of equipment and began to drive. The day was tranquil, no storms or other disturbances marring his thoughts, and he was finally able to relax just a little bit.
He drove for several hours, ending up near the Adirondacks for some reason. It wasn't necessarily a bad place to end up. As a kid, his parents had taken him there a few times a year to get away from his studies, and for pretty much the same reason. As a veritable genius, he had been learning as a child at such an incredible pace that he made himself sick. Staying up late into the night, sometimes not even sleeping, his mind absorbing information from any source he could get his hands on. The dictionary, encyclopedias, books of translations, textbooks, anything that contained information was a target for his mind, and he drank deeply. The vacations were his parent's way of getting him away from information. They never stifled him, but they knew that there was a bit more to life than learning, and he had actually appreciated the trips into the wilderness. Nature had always been fascinating, and while he still applied what he had learned to the different plants and animals, he was able to take a step back and enjoy himself like any little kid should. As an adult, fairly new into his powers, he had been obsessing about them, and the powers of other metahumans, to the exclusion of most other projects. Although it may have been subconscious, this was perhaps the best place to unwind for a bit.The idea of a peaceful meditation by the lake was sounding better and better.
He parked a mile or so off and, dressed in a t-shirt and shorts, waterbottle in hand, he set off. The forest was beautiful and serene, but for some odd reason, he still got a chill. Shrugging, he continued on his way, passing maples and oaks, the steadfast deciduous trees he had known from before, letting the thoughts of his research slowly fade away. He had almost managed to overcome that feeling too, before he stepped out of the clearing and saw the carnage. His eyes going wide, his first thought was that they had been mauled by something, but that idea disappeared when his mind, a few nanoseconds later, happened upon the intruder to the scene. His first thought was defensive, the idea of conjuring several spheres of energy, but he wasn't sure if she was a metahuman or not, and he didn't want to attract attention to that side of him if he could avoid it. His martial arts ability should be able to dispatch even a killer, after all.
He decided to wait a moment before engaging her, taking in the entire scene. The lake was a natural barrier, and he could escape back into the forest if necessary. It would be best to confront her at the edge of the woods, where he could blast apart a few trees if necessary if she was a metahuman and escape. At worst, his power should give her some pause, which would allow him to take her down or flee back into the woods. He had several scenarios planned, but still he held back, waiting for her to notice him. He pressed his hand into a pocket, dialing emergency services, in any event requiring some backup.

Re: Fatal Attraction (Mist & Photon - Invite only)
Things weren't going well in the life of Amy Morgan. It wasn't easy keeping the death of Nightkill a secret from her, as the servants of his residence frequently told her he was on a business trip. That in itself, she was used to. He had taken too many to count, constant business trips that led her into a state of boredom living at the house in New York. The one who kept his eye on her the most was Azad, a butler employed by Nightkill who also had some firearm experience. From where, she had no idea. But he was the one who constantly took care of her when she needed it in Nightkill's absence.
Though, things weren't adding up as Azad was making a lot more decisions around the residence. Trying to keep the house up and running, as if Nightkill wasn't coming back. Managing certain accounts that he wasn't supposed to have access to. Several people who Amy recognized as investors and co-businessmen of Nightkill would visit the house and were trying to get shares in their business as if all of it was going downhill. Was he really coming back from his business trip? Amy finally cornered Azad. Though she considered Nightkill her father, Azad would be the next closest relative of choice. She of course, was adopted. But she didn't know anything of what a family meant until he had taken Amy into his house.
"Azad, tell me where Mr. Khan is. Do not lie to me this time. I know he isn't on a business trip." she said, looking directly into his eyes. He couldn't avoid the glare she would give him when she was serious.
Shaking his head, he gave into her aggressive behavior. "Amy I.. I.." letting out a heavy sigh, he changed the course of his tone. "It's rumored he was fatally injured or killed. The only survivor of the assault didn't last long enough to tell us much. But that you weren't safe anymore. I've been trying to keep this house running, and keeping you safe Amy. Please let us protect you."
Her aggressive eyes suddenly faded into a worried expression. The only one to have cared for her was either in trouble or dead? Who was capable of doing this, and why? Squinting her eyes at Azad, she had made up her resolve. "Azad, I'm going after him. You aren't coming, and you're not going to follow me."
"But where? To do what? You think you can bring him back? What if he's dead, what if you get caught up in whoever was after him? It's too dangerous to go out there. I won't let you. I would be failing him if I permitted that."
Reaching up and grasping his face gently, she looked into his eyes. "I'm going to find him. And if I don't find him, I'll find myself. It's out there. All of it is. It's certainly not here, cowering in fear. You and Mr. Khan have taught me everything I know, gave me everything I have. And Azad... You can't stop me." Her body transformed into a misty cloud of water vapor, as the soft touch of her hands changed into a refreshing breeze. She walked towards the window, her normal exit when she wanted adventure. But this time, it was for good. Falling out the three story building, the watery vapor form of herself hit the concrete, spreading a cloud out from her feet. The shape of her body reformed as she transformed into her normal human body unharmed from the fall.
She took off running, unsure if Azad would let her go or pursue her. Something told her that he wouldn't keep his eye off her. Ever. And she knew Nightkill was watching her somewhere. Somehow. She didn't have a superhuman speed, but could outrun most normal citizens. She had a lot of physical training in several martial arts and her reaction time rivaled almost any opponent she faced in a spar. But it was nowhere close to the real thing. Taking off into the woods, she sprinted through the trails, unsure of where her life would go. From being rich, to no money and alone. But without Mr. Khan, she was truly without a friend in the world.
Emotions overcame the teenage girl as she ran through the wooded trails. Wiping tears from her eyes, she hoped for the best but understood the possibility that he was already dead. She kept going over the same questions, that always started with 'Why?'. The girl lost her real parents at an early age. She didn't even know what they looked like. And now this? Unlooking where she was going, a tree root that was sprouting up from the ground caught her foot causing her to trip. Throwing her body into a roll, she fell down a hill area that sent her tumbling towards a lake. Fortunately for her, she knew how to take a fall without getting injured.
As she reached the bottom, her back slid on the ground as she outstretched her arms in a crucifix position, trying to regain her breath. She stared up at the sky for half a minute, watching the clouds move, before getting up to the sit-up position. Where she raised her knees and clasped them with her arms sitting down in the grass. Placing her face in her knees, she was currently unaware there was corpses nearby, and a murderer.

Re: Fatal Attraction (Mist & Photon - Invite only)
Squinted eyes darted across the grassy meadow then onto the rolling lush green forest and finally scanning the curved terrain that embraced the wooden wonderland around her. She was sure of it, a noise..something peculiar in an environment she had grown to adore. Unfortunately for whoever had disturbed her brief moment of peace they would come under her wrath and suffer punishment far grander than the two lovers by the lake. However fate seemed to be playing its cards well today and the arrival of the teenager tumbling down the hill might have possibly saved the life of whoever was lurking in the vast forest.
Snarling with a furrowed brow the oriental princess blew her fringe out of her face, whipping her head to where the most recent visitor had tumbled into view. The lake which curved into the surrounding area became somewhat of a barrier between the two, the girl was barely one hundred metres away and other than a stream that cut into the river there were no obstacles in the way. The girl quite literally came out of nowhere and what made it more peculiar was the fact that the corpses strewn across the lip of the lake had not been noticed, Daji was almost certain she had not been seen either. For a brief moment, nature took hold; the grand landscape completely overwhelmed the senses and the concubine sat still, mulling over the various options she had. Here she was queen, that was unquestionable in this environment and fortunately for her some pretty young flower decided to drop in and brighten her day.
A burning feeling rose from her core, tugging at her chest as she gazed at the girl; like a tiger watching through the reeds Daji focused all of her unblinking attention on the newcomer. This girl was her prey and from the looks of it quite a vulnerable one as well. The hair on the back of Daji's neck rose, a tingling feeling scattering across her lithe body as she bit her lip, the sharp canines almost puncturing the vibrant red lips. "I'm always up for seconds..", she muttered, glancing at the dead blonde beside her as she lolled her head back, a devilish grin creeping across her porcelain complexion.
In one swift movement she hopped up, expertly catching her blade in the air as she silently pranced across the golden green grass under foot. This silent advance towards the girl made the shivering woman even more excited, like a child presented with the sweetest gift Daji simply could not contain her twisted desire and burning lust. Luck just seemed to be on her side that day, and for anyone who was not Su Daji that was a horrible thing.
As she lithely crept over to the girl, effortlessly and silently leaping over a stream which cascaded into the lake her unquenchable desires reached a particularly sinister level. Nature could not stop her, the wind, water and earth were slaves to her might and this young faun was just another plaything...there to amuse a queen...

Re: Fatal Attraction (Mist & Photon - Invite only)
The scene was still on his mind when the woman began stalking forward, heading slowly away from him. He took a step forward and noticed a girl, apparently distracted, completely oblivious to the carnage that was several yards away. The woman, who he could only assume was the killer, had begun walking toward her, blade in hand. The choice was clear; he was dedicated to helping people, and there was no time left to examine every course of action. Now was the time to act.
Alex stepped out of the woods and into the clearing, hands raised. He summoned orbs of power into his palms, taking time to strengthen them as he shouted "Stay away from her, you bitch!" and sent a few of the orbs to crash into the ground, dispersing their energy into the loose earth, which convulsed and sent a spray of earth upward. There were at least eight balls of light floating around him, four of them growing bigger as smaller ones began to form. If she tried anything, he could fire them off with a thought.
"I don't know if you're a metahuman, but I won't let you kill her or anyone else!" he shouted, his eyes on them both. He had experienced a situation somewhat similar to this, though that was before he knew he was more than just a genius with a few good moves. A crew of robbers had held both Alex and his family hostage (among others) in a bank, at one point shooting one of their own over some stupid squabble. The entire operation was headed south, and Alex was afraid things would only go south. He had formed a plan in a few minutes and, with the help of the Aikido he had learned and a bit of simple physics, he had detained the one with a gun and thwarted the robbery.
In this situation there were too many unknown variables, something Alex always hated, because without them he couldn't adequately control the outcome. The only recourse would be to plan as he went.

Re: Fatal Attraction (Mist & Photon - Invite only)
She hadn't been 'stalked' since she was 12, in a very dark time in her lifetime. So not only was she not used to it, but didn't expect it. She knew it was a fairly public area and there was the possibility of others nearby. Daji's stealthy approach, whether experienced or not would have gone fairly unnoticed, especially in the emotional state she was in. It was probably the abrupt change of tempo that alerted her. Alex, from a distance shouted with a sense of panic in his voice.
Amy's eyebrows raised, as she raised her head alert vigilant. Her body was already on the move, springing up from the ground and swiveling her body around 180 degrees. Her feet slid across the grass containing fresh dew from earlier in the morning, positioning herself on the tips of her toes and balancing herself with one hand. Her other hand reached behind her back grasping a small cylindrical object about a foot in length that was strapped to her thigh. Her eyes scanned her surroundings speedily, roaming all over the plains. Instantly recognizing her closest and most immediate dangers, Daji who was trying to approach her and Alex a slight distance further away. She hadn't taken the time to look for anything else since Daji had gotten actually quite close to her.
Her pupils constricted as she focused on Daji's blade. What was going on here? Was this the same danger Nightkill had gotten into? No, one person wasn't capable of taking him down. She clenched the small cylindrical object tightly as her eyebrows dropped to normal height. She was focused now, and there would be no sneak attack.
"What is going on?" Amy asked. She truly wanted to know the answer for the scene that turned from serene to chaotic.

Re: Fatal Attraction (Mist & Photon - Invite only)
The resounding blasts that the strange energy orbs caused was impressive, the sound ricocheting across the vast area, echoing into the distance. It seems that there was someone in the forest, a measly do-gooder who attacked Daji when her back was turned. Such a cowardly move was both exceedingly pitiful as it was blatantly rude and the fact that he called her a 'bitch' had the petite woman grinding her teeth. She was however, far too noble of a person to lose her temper at such a pitiful excuse of a man. But still, her seething anger had her involuntarily snarling as he went on to accuse her. Men were such stupid oafs..always wrecking her fun with their machismo and inherent belief that they were superior.
"Kill her?", Daji spoke cocking her head to the side, she wasn't going tot kill the girl, "I have no idea why you would assume that i would kill such a sweet looking girl...you're the one throwing balls of energy around.", she uttered, motioning at the small craters that tainted the once green grass before her. Whipping her head back to the girl, who had now realised the position she was in, Daji gave her a wry smile, it was her attempt at appearing genuine.
"What's going on? Oh well I can't stand the sight of such a beautiful girl all by herself.." she said slowly, the words rolling off her tongue like poison, "I can tell you've had a rough day..and I was merely going to offer my assistance if you needed it..", the oriental woman spoke innocently pouting a bit as she did so. She was not going to kill the girl, she was far too sweet for that, no...if it came down to it Daji would have acquired herself a new servant girl. The only thing standing him her way was the idiot tossing energy everywhere.
Flexing her neck, she glared back at the man her lips slightly spread apart so that her canines were visible to see, "A metahumn? Oh no...I'm much more worse than a metahuman..", she uttered with glistening eyes that bore into his face. He was a dead man.

Re: Fatal Attraction (Mist & Photon - Invite only)
Photon's eyes narrowed as he walked closer, his body automatically adjusting itself into better form. The woman's voice, seductively soft but with the obvious edge of insanity, explained a lot. She was, at the very least, a person of abilities. Her calm demeanor suggested she was used to killing, probably thrilled in it even. He didn't yet know her particular strengths, though he was pleased that at least this woman's next potential victim had noticed her and assumed a defensive position, and from the look of it at least as good as his own.
"That's what they all try to say.." he said, sighing heavily. Emotions were often a weakness in battle situations, twisting logic and ultimately having a negative impact on the outcome. In this situation he was looking for an edge, and although he wasn't sure just how insane she was, he was guessing it was probably pretty bad. He shifted his position slightly, tossing the waterbottle behind his back, the orbs still floating around his body in a protective fashion.
He charged them silently, willing ambient energy to soak into them and give them some extra juice. The situation could turn ugly at any time, and he needed to be ready to launch a volley of the things if necessary. Though hard to notice, the orbs began to take on greater intensity, their cores turning more and more opaque as they swelled with electromagnetic energy.
