The Future
"I... am GPSD."
His voice rang through the ears of the citizens, leaving them shaken in awe and excitement. It was a great day for the people of New York City, and a great day for the people of America. It was a day to be written down in history. The impact of its' event was so large it would cast a shadow on the most important dates of all of history itself! It was the beginning of a new time, a new era. It was the making of an organization so powerful, and yet so kind. It was the day that marked the creation...
of G. P. S. D;
GOOD PEOPLE (WHO GET) SHIT DONE!
"I am here... to unleash the true potential of today's super-powered youth. To protect all of our great nation - our great land's citizens! It is time to rid our fair city of inhabitants who dare to hurt our friends, our family, and our comrades... I, Legend, am a hero who dares to help protect everyone in need... and I know... that there are more heroes out there that feel the same way; that feel they can make a difference for the greater good. We of G.P.S.D. have but one goal... We are here to do the right thing, regardless of what might happen to us.... We are here... to get. Shit. DONE!"
The crowds roared in cheering and applause, erupting into a mindless array of emotion. Legend's speech was all over television, all over the news, and all over the world. Everything he said was true, and now he had some business to take care of... but let's rewind things a little bit... back to when the beginning of the beginning of GPSD truly began.
THE PAST
(Flashback...)
"Hey, loser!"
Legend flew in, as if from nowhere, and slammed his fiery fist into the super-bad-guy's stomach. If only to make things more ironic in the situation, the super-bad-guy was robbing a bank. "Robbing banks? Really? How original! I thought you criminals had some time to make up creative ideas in prison!" It seemed the bad guy had made a retort, but Legend brushed it off as stupid. So, instead of answering with sensible conversation, he kicked the villainous robber right in the face.
THE PRESENT
He stepped slowly through an alleyway, making no sounds at all. Even a single chime could destroy his stealth. Then again, he wasn't really the stealthy type. In fact, it was a wonder how he had managed to conceal his identity so far. Instantaneously igniting his entire body on fire, Legend rose up into the air and soared up above the streets of the busy metropolitan area. It was a brand new day and he was ready to patrol New York City, the place he called home. Unlike most people, he got unnatural benefits of travel-by-flight. Then again, unlike most people, he could set himself on fire.
Zooming through the sky, he maneuvered around the clouds easily. But that was only because, today, there wasn't too many clouds. Suddenly a shriek cried out in the morning air, immediately prioritizing Legend's attention. "I never get a break, do I." Quickly lowering to the scene of the crime, Legend wondered where the scream could have originated.
(Super Awesome Notice: I plan on making flashbacks throughout the thread.)

Re: Some people just... get shit done; Invite Only
It had been a slow day that day. After getting to school late, having stayed up late the day before trying to save a person from yet another high speed chase, luckily though it would all be over once graduation was over and done within a few days. Track season had long since been over so there really was not a whole lot for him to do around the school anymore, since theatre, debate, and pretty much everything else held no interest in Jack’s opinion. But thankfully the day had been over for a while and Jack was now participating in the only thing that really felt right to him anymore.
Unfortunately today was not really a fast night, which was really a good thing in a way since that meant that nobody was in danger, but all in all it meant that Frost was still kind of bored. Then things decided to pick up a little when a loud scream breaking through the silence of the night, something that excited the hero more than it probably should have. Quickly he turned in the direction that the sound seemed to emanate from which was to his right, Frost then began his free running style maneuvering through the city that he had to an extent been come to be known for over his brief stint as a hero. He leapt from building to building like something straight out of a comic book, just seeming impossible to the common person, but thankfully his years of being the state’s best long jumpers, one hundred meter sprinters, and pole-vaulters was more than a little helpful for his current career choice, which was ironic since in the beginning he thought track was stupid.
He found the source of the screaming fairly easy, which was saying a lot considering how large the city really was with all the many levels of concrete surrounding him in every direction. Frost had always wondered why bad people did not simply take their victims in a basement or something, it would have kept at least one hero present away since he did not have super hearing. Looking to his left he saw something he had not expected, it looked to be some sort of meteor, or something of the sort, but none the less it was getting a lot closer really a lot faster than made Frost feel comfortable. Wanting to not be seen too quickly Frost made for a quick hiding spot by ducking behind an entrance way to the stairwell that led into the building below, he was simply hoping that the enclosing thing had not seen him.

Re: Some people just... get shit done; Invite Only
Legend tore through the air like a meteor, only to land lightly on the ground. As if he had caused no disturbance at all, his fire dissipated leaving him to look like a normal citizen. Immediately searching for the screaming woman, he noticed the sound came from inside a building. "A bank again? Ugh..." Because of the scream, a countless number of people decided to vacate the area instead of help, which was fine with him. It cleared the area, and it meant no one would get hurt. Well, anyone other than the bank-robber of course. Opening the doors to the bank, his body instantly lit on fire. Imposing an intimidating image, his fiery body entered through the doors loudly as he stared at a group of villains inside. Well... normal villains, anyhow. It didn't seem like they had any super-powers. Unless pistols were guns, of course.
"Robbers, stand aside and no one gets hurt! Also, would you put the guns down? They're freaking everyone out!" Creating a fireball in his right hand, Legend lifted it up and pointed it at the center of the "gang". Luckily they decided to push all the citizens to the sides. That meant only the bank-robbers would get hurt. "Okay... I'm sorry, I lied. Someone's about to get hurt... and it's you guys!" It seemed the robbers were frozen in fear. Luckily for them, Legend only made the fire strong enough to singe them a bit. Nothing more than a minimal second-degree burn, they would be fine. However, if that were to make them underestimate him... They would have poorly misunderstood. Firing the ball of flames at the four-man, bank-robber gang, Legend wondered if today would get any more interesting than this.

Re: Some people just... get shit done; Invite Only
Frost lowered himself down to the street level being as silent as he could be so that he would not alert the man in the car, obviously waiting for some people inside to come out and make a speedy get away, or the other man holding the door open and most likely operating as the look out. The hero did what came naturally to him and froze the front wheels of the car and moved as quickly as he could to reach the man next to the door. Once he and the lookout were face to face Frost delivered a well-placed punch to the throat, making the man gag and then fall to his knees, and then a simple kick to the chest to make sure he would stay down. Although the man in the car had noticed this move however and pulled a gun on the hero, firing off a round, Frost was quicker than the man had anticipated though and the hero ducked behind the open door. Shooting an icicle from his hand Frost took the man out as well.
Moving inside the bank, Frost saw that there were a few people on the ground cowering for their lives and some other men with guns running from balls of fire. The hero pulled water from the fountain on the wall and threw it at the closest of the criminals and froze him in a prison that would keep him out of the way until the police arrived. The other gun toting criminals took notice of this however and turned on him. Frost might have been lucky and fast enough to dodge on bullet but the barrage they sent for him was just too much. He was lucky though in that he only got grazed along the right shoulder. Jumping to his left and landing behind a row of desks, hopefully the other guy could give him a hand.
