Costume Description:
Arwr wears a blue mask covering his eyes, nose and eyebrows. His black hair droops over the mask and the fringe is quite long. He wears a ‘classic’ hero cape that is the same deep blue colour as the mask. His suit is a paler blue with a black belt. On his belt are 4 small white pockets and one large one that go around the belt. In the small pockets there is an array of things such as his mobile phone in one, a small torch in another, his I-pod with headphones in another and in the last are the keys to his run-down red ford he keeps at his home. The big pocket is currently empty. He has black boots that give him a little extra height and has black gloves. Underneath his cape is a sword in its sheath that is strapped to his back. Tied onto his belt are five throwing knives.

Personality:
Wesley is a determined teenager and extremely argumentative. He is opinionated and stubborn yet quite immature for his age. He is naive, gullible and isn’t over intelligent. He is however very loyal and takes friendship very seriously. Wesley is new to the world of superheroes even though he has dreamt of being one for years as he is slightly geeky. Wesley is very confident, border lining arrogant, but friendly and can sometimes surprise people with his abilities to be quite diplomatic and resourceful.

History:
Wesley’s family all come from different parts of the world. His mother’s mother was American and his mother’s father was English whilst his father’s mother was French and his father’s father was Welsh. Wesley’s mother, Evangeline Blake, was a famous photographer whilst Wesley’s father, Daniel Blake, was a famous journalist. They both travelled the world together and were the couple that uncovered many an international scandal in their time. Evangeline gave birth to Wesley in Venice whilst they were investigating a story to do with the mafia. Wesley’s mother died at child birth and Wesley grew up with his father in Italy for three years. Daniel was close to uncovering the mafia story he and his wife had started on when he was in an ‘accidental’ car crash and was killed. Although it was seen as suspicious, no proof could be found to say the mafia killed him. Wesley was sent to live with his father’s sister and her husband in Cardiff, Wales. When he was 14, his Aunt died from cancer and his Uncle became an alcoholic. Wesley lived a sad life until he was 16 and he left school. He had always wanted to be a journalist and joined a work experience programme for Cardiff’s leading newspaper. Wesley worked there for 6 months until his Uncle committed suicide. At the hearing of the will, Wesley learnt that his Aunt and Uncle had been keeping Wesley’s parent’s money for themselves but now it belonged to him, as well as all of his Uncle’s money. Wesley went to check out his Uncle’s home to see if he could value it and sell it. Whilst investigating the attic, Wesley found an old superhero costume and a journal. The journal was made by Wesley’s grandfather (who lived in that house in Wales). His grandfather had been a hero named Arwr who had become a local legend. Arwr was said to have the power to move objects with his mind and was able to fly. Upon reading the journal, Wesley finds that he too can posses those powers and become the new hero, Arwr. However, he must make a solemn vow to protect others, ensure peace reigns and to defeat evil no matter what he has to do to stop it. Wesley hastily agrees without properly thinking it through and signed his name in the diary under a list of 7 other names. The paper then catches fire and burns into ash which blows away. Wesley discovers that he has the power of telekinesis and flight. He tries on the costume but it is a little small so updates it by adding such things as the pockets and a new mask (also taller boots). Wesley also finishes his work experience and becomes a full time journalist for Cardiff’s leading newspaper. For the next three years, Wesley trains with his powers and fighting abilities. He enrols in Kung Fu and Karate classes. Whilst watching Kung Fu films at home he is inspired by the swordsmen so goes out and buys a real steel samurai sword and 5 throwing knives. His aim with the throwing knives could be better but his sword wielding abilities are improving. He is also improving his skill in hand to hand combat as with his telekinesis power. He is still not a huge fan of flying as he has a slight problem with heights but he is getting better daily. Recently, Wesley has been offered an intersting job in a small yet up and coming newspaper in New York City. Wesley has inherited his parent's love of travelling so has agreed to work in America. He also sees this as an opportunity to become a more established hero in a big city and hopes to meet greater heroes and learn from them.

Powers:
Arwr wields the power of telekinesis. He also has the power of flight but this is technically his power of telekinesis that moves his body and helps him defy the laws of gravity. He is skilled in telekinesis and although he is quite quick at flying and can fly quite high (not just hovering) he isn’t as good at flight as he is with telekinesis. Arwr also is skilled in sword combat and hand to hand combat (although I know these aren’t powers but I thought they were worth mentioning).

Character Description:
Wesley is naturally brown haired but was dared to dye his hair a permanent jet black a few days ago. He has brown/hazel eyes which are usually partly covered by his fringe. Wesley has a pale face with a few freckles dotted over his nose and cheeks. He isn’t weedy but has an average strength for an 18 year old so is fine with lifting heavy boxes or carrying around heavy things but won’t be lifting cars or buildings any time soon. When not trying to be a superhero, Wesley will normally be wearing a T-shirt (probably referring to Star Wars or Dr Who) and blue/grey jeans.

Role-play Sample:
Wesley stepped out of the airport and sniffed the air. Smells of smoke, wafts of meat from a nearby hot dog cart and the smell of several taxis that were driving past, causing water from dirty puddles to splash near Wesley’s trainers, all came to him in a wave. Wesley smiled. He had finally arrived in America. He was finally doing what he had always wanted to do: travel! Wesley walked down the street, rolling his suitcase along beside him. He stuck out an arm and called out for a taxi. His welsh accent stuck out like a sore thumb amid the rough New York shouts around him. A taxi finally slowed down and Wesley jumped in. He gave the driver directions to the small apartment he was renting and unzipped his suitcase slightly. The blue of his hero costume stuck out from the dull colours of his everyday clothing. Wesley’s smile grew. He closed the suitcase, lay back against the leather seats of the taxi and shut his eyes. This would be a long drive and he was going to need all the rest he could get for tonight. Tonight would be the first night he would don his costume and patrol the streets looking to save people as...Arwr.

This my first attempt at Role-playing ever but please don't hold back in any brutal or constructive criticism as any would help!

Having 1 Int. (Which is below the average human) and Telekinesis powers seems like an oxymoron.

k, on this power grid, what would u say is average cuz that was what I was aiming 4. Cheers for pointing it out tho as your right, that does seem kinda weird now i think about it.
