The physics of penthouse

Laxy attached a cable from the apparatus in her lab to her laptop. She was planning on getting readings from the electromagnetism experiment and using it to attempt to power a water distiller. She could easily run the power in a major city but felt that she could help clean the rivers of the city without needing to hand over her money to uncaring companies. She snapped her fingers to conjure up a flame in a Bunsen burner that ignited and began to steal the oxygen from the tube that lead to the apparatus. "Looks good," she spoke to herself as she paced towards the machine. "I have a reading," the machine hummed as the Archimede's screw began to cycle the water. She took out a tape recorder, "it seems that using fire and water can work. With a few more weeks of work I could probably create a cleaner form of energy for machines." She sat down the tape recorder and took a seat in front of the computer. She crossed her legs and sat her hands on her knee. She leaned back eloquently when she heard a disruption coming from the other side of the penthouse. She turned off the computer silencing the machine as she ignited her right hand and opened the door leading to an antechamber before her open living room. "Is anyone there?"

Nightkill blinked. I feel a disturbance in the force.

Please tell me I didn't just say that. Nightkill had felt someone with powers in the area. He then went to the penthouse where the person was. He planned to kidnapp her, and copy her powers to make new minions. He grinned, and blasted open the door.

The door shattered across the living room lunging pieces of into her antique love seat, "That was J.D. Salinger's love seat you ass!" Laxy exclaimed with rage. She ignited her left hand to act as a self defense shield before sending a ball of flame towards the open doorway.

"Pyrokinesis." the android noted. "Interesting." he dodged the attack, jumped and landed two feet from Laxy. "Now, come quietly, and I will not do you too much harm."

Gary was on his way to Moxy's house, wishing to invite her to join a panel of fellow scientists devoted to creating alternative fuel sources, Gary himself could have handled it by himself, but these took time, and time was a resource he lacked being a hero and all. From a short distance away he could hear the comotion from inside and saw that the door was broken in. He quickly changed into his Overmind persona and quietly approached the doorway, cloaked and floating, perfectly silent, perfectly hidden. As he reached the shattered entrance a fireball hit him in the chest, sending him to the ground dirupting his cloaking. "Wasn't expecting that..."

"Has come quietly ever actually captured anyone," Laxy made a gesture at the love seat and threw it through sending the flame in her left hand to ignite the chair as it sailed at the assailant. "You'll find me not so easy of prey."

Nightkill ducked, and dodged. "Very well." he said, snapping his fingers. A tiger knight and Commander experiment appeared. "Help is always good."
"Sara tan coanda, Nightkill-gen? the Commander asked, speaking the alien Anx language. He was asking whether Nightkill wanted to capture Laxy, and Gen was a respectful term. The tiger knight didn't wait for orders, and simply jumped at Laxy, trying to knock her out.

(Tiger knight hs 5 strength.)

Overmind stood and instantly recognized Nightkill. Using his extremely strong telekintic abilities, Overmind grabbed the tiger and slammed it into a wall, moments later teleporting inside and slamming it into the ground.

Laxy saw the commander materialize and began thinking about fighting two foes. She took a deep breathe and began a motion to ignite her hands. The tiger knight moved into Laxy's blindside and before delivering a brutal blow was intercepted. "I don't remember doing that." She looked around to see what was happening to the tiger knight leaving her hands unlit.

The tiger knight was slammed back. "What?" he groaned.
The Commander sighed, and spoke English. "Nightkill-gen says that man is Overmind. He has telekinesis, and he probably slammed you back."
