Sealed Off [OPEN]

12 hours ago every living object in Times Square fell unconcious.
Not due to some sort of super-villains diabolic plan, or an alien invasion, not even a bunch of thugs knocking people out and stealing their money.
No, instead three trucks (Why they needed three was a mystery to Sakura) full of gas grenades had crashed and by some fluke, released everything, all over the place. At it's current concentration it would dissipate to a safe level in a few hours and would dissapear completely by tomorrow afternoon.

At the moment however, white smoke was drifting all over the place. Entering this place without a Gas Mask or anything to protect your eyes and lungs was stupid. Which was why Sakura was fully armed and just standing around. Hopefully someting would happen ...

Nightstrike appeared, and smelled the gas. "Shit, really?" he asked. He grabbed a gas mask, and walked inside Times Square. He saw a girl standing around. "Hey, who the hell are you?" he asked. The gas mask let him go around in the Square, and not care about his health. He was curious who the girl was though.

"Hey, who the hell are you?"
Sakura turned and looked around. Her eyes narrowed from behind her helmets visor. His voice was muffled by the gas mask, but still understandable.
"I'm not supposed to let anyone in here," She called "I'm going to have to ask you to leave,"

Nightstrike snorted. "Fantastic. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nightstrike. Not to be confused with Nightkill, my bastard of a father. Anyway, it doesn't matter if I'm here." he said. "I'm wearing a gas mask like you." he noted.

"Regardless," Sakura said taking a few steps forward "Please leave the area,"

Nightstrike frowned. "My father was killed here." he said. "I'm just visiting his grave."

Through the white smoke, a faint figure in the far could be witnessed. The figure did not run, but just walked rather quickly. Apperantly, it was a woman, but it could have also been a transvestite, since the clicking sound of high heels on stone tiles echoed back and forth against the surrounding buildings. Click, clack, click, clack and so forth. With some keen eyesight, one might have seen that the figure was wearing a half long, black coat, that was flowing behind her. But the figure was too distant to really see who it was.

"My father was killed here." he said. "I'm just visiting his grave." This "Nightstrike" replied.
"Can't you visit the grave when there's less knockout gas?" Sakura sighed.

She heard someone (a woman in heels by the sound of it) walking behind them. Other than a coat flowing behind them Sakura couldn't see who it was.
"Excuse me ..." She said "But you're going to have to leave as well,"

The gasmask the woman was wearing also made it impossible to identify her. She arrived at the other two present people. "No, actually, I don't have to go anywhere." She replied to Sakura, though it was a bit muffled by the gasmask. "I am here to witness the situation. These trucks, that the government so gratefully 'repossessed', were in fact mine. The gasious substance that used to be IN the trucks, is also mine." The woman took an ID-card from her pocket and identified herself as dr. A.D. Rolands. "So, could you perhaps inform me about the situation?"

Sakura nodded.
"Fair enough," she said "You're property is currently at a near lethal concentration, we reckon it'll be safe to come in to this area without gas masks in about 5 hours, samples of the gas have been taken to G.U.N headquarters, if you want to get them back take it up with Doctor Meyers,"
She pointed out into the road.
"Traffic has been blocked up for miles and is currently being diverted around Times Square, the gas is spreading throughout New York but will have reached a safe level by the time it gets to about 4 miles away from here, until then, it's dangerous and everyone is being sealed in,"

"Hmmm, okay." It sounded from behind the gasmask. "I still got a couple of questions. Why did nobody directly contact me? I had to hear about the situation through a friend of mine at FEMA. And are all those who inhaled the substance contained?"

"Beats me," Sakura admitted "If like you said the government "repossessed" these vehicles then maybe they didn't want to contact you,"
She suddenley stopped still.
"Why do the victims have to be contained?"

A sight sounded from behind the mask. "I think you and I need to have a talk." The woman in the black coat said and turned her head to Nightstrike. "Without any civilians around, for they might spread the rumour and make the entire city panic. And we don't want that."

Sakura looked between Nightstrike and the doctor. She walked next to the doctor while keeping her eyes on Nightstrike, in case he tried something. The word "Panic" wasn't filling her with confidence.
"What does this stuff do?"

Doctor Rolands walked along. "This gas we're walking in at the moment was designed to be a new sort of smoke grenades, capable of making enemy soldiers fall asleep. The tests failed, so I order the destruction of the gas and transport to a safe location, where it could be destroyed. The tests fail for some subjects, rats, not humans, we tested it on developed mutations, mostly cancers. But those were just a small number of subjects. However, the substance is also capable of mutating bacteria, possibly into more aggressive forms. That's why all the creatures that have been exposed to the gas, must be tracked down and contained, in order to examen the development of possible diseases." Alice looked around a bit. "That also includes any animals. I have ordered our own Hazmat team to exterminate all life within the contaminated sector. I also already called FEMA. Their teams are also already on their way."
