Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
A setting sun fell behind the ridges in the distance that were the Swiss Alps. France was beautiful, but Tyuki had no idea where she was until she tried to read a local sign.
She would land, clad in her hero uniform still. Her mask was gone, so she bore her face to the world. But no one knew her, at least not at first glance. White feathered wings would stretch and fold behind of her as she looked around, the city she landed in being just outside of Geneva Switzerland, but still technically part of France.
It was a little town at the base of the huge, towering mountains. Their bluish and purplish hues caught her attention as she looked off in the distance. A smell caught her nose, however, making her stomach growl in hunger.
She followed the smell, weaving around of the foot traffic on cobblestone streets of the little french town. People would look at her with curiosity crossing their faces. She was oblivious to them, however, and made it her goal to get to whatever smelled delicious. Slowing her pace she came to the big window of a bakery and a little old lady was just about to flip the sign over that clearly meant the store was closing. Tyuki would step forward and knock on the door, her body tired and beaten at this point.
She had flown all the way from Egypt to this little town. Her goal was Italy, of course, but she had missed it by miles. She was not very good at geography, it seemed.
"P.. please?" she would mutter, her knees weak as she fell down in front of the glass door. Her wings would unfold, sprawling behind of her as she bowed her head against the glass.
The old woman would gasp and wrench open the door. Tyuki was in and out of consciousness, the older woman shouting for help. A stronger boy came from the back room and scooped Tyuki up, being careful of her wings.
"Angel!" was all the older woman said that made any sense to Tyuki. She could feel herself being laid down in front of something warm, and the smell of bread washed over her. The pure smells of carbohydrates made her mouth water.
".. Thank you." she would say, her voice hoarse as she let her eyes open, revealing bright green orbs. The older woman would shuffle around, bringing Tyuki a bowl of broth and some bread crusts along with a glass bottle of water. Being nursed back to health took time, and Tyuki would sleep by the hearth of the fire until early morning came, a sack of flower as her pillow and an old torn quilt to cover her body.
--
Weeks had passed and Tyuki had become the miniature guardian angel of the little French town at the border of Switzerland. She would stop any bad guys, rescue cats from trees, stop runaway baby carriages, lift fallen trees. You name it, she did it.
Word was spreading, however, and it wasn't long until a certain private organization with a hero for hire would hear about this.
Landing, Tyuki would place a hand on her hip. She had met so many faces in this little town, and she found it to be refreshing. She hadn't been this independent in a long, long time. She worked for her place to stay, and food to eat. Sure, she missed her band, and her friends, but she was so happy here... it was hard to leave. But, something told her she had to stay just a bit longer.
"Yeah. I like it here." she said out loud, a little tug on her wings drawing her attention to a little girl.
"S'il vous plaît aider! Ma mère et mon père sont prisonniers d'une voiture sous un arbre tombé!" Now, Tyuki would normally not understand that entire sentence, but having been here for the two weeks, she had learned a few words. Please being one of them, mom and dad being others, and finally tree being the last. She immediately turned and followed the little girl, offering her hand as they ran.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
At the time, he was contacted, Atlas was doing a little lifting training. Granted, to the average person this would have been far more than just a little, though he liked to keep himself in top physical condition. ”We have something we need you to do.” Was the statement she said, Damian settling the weight down and wiping away a few droplets of sweat from his forehead. The gravity had released only a few seconds ago, making the weight he had been lifting even more inconsequential. Rather than ask, he held a hand out as the folder was thrown towards it.
Damian glanced over the papers taking a few things in, then nodding as if understanding the situation. They wanted him to look into talk about an angel in a certain town in Switzerland, something that sounded simple enough. ”73% a match, that sounds not completely sure.” Damian suggested with an arced brow, drawing a rather stern expression from the woman. ”Alright, I’ll look into I guess.” He said with a nod, shaking his head as a few curls were thrown about.
”So am I taking a plane or what?” He asked, as they ended up waling down one of the many halls of the facility.
”Yes, one will be prepped for you in a few hours. We’ll want you to pack a few changes of clothes, and your suit as usual.” He was not too sure what he was supposed to be wearing, though Damian prepared just in case. So he moved through the room, picking up a few shirts, pairs of shorts and his favorite pair of shoes along with the heroic suit that was usually settled in the corner of his room. It folded itself up with a press of a certain button turning portable as usual. It took no real time to gather everything up and then he was ready, boarding the flight and he was off to another country rather quickly.
Time passed from there, some between sleep but eventually he arrived.
Transit from there to the town only took a few minutes with his speed, the thin telekinetic barrier over his body proving to protect his clothes from any tear that would have incurred. Landing on the outskirts of town he was in simple clothes, cargo pants, a button up flannel shirt left unbuttoned with a smooth grey shirt underneath, wearing simple brown boots. Sunglasses were just there because he believed they made him look cool, regardless of if that were true.
That was when he heard something, glass shattering and possibly metal denting in. ”Well that sounds suspicious.” He muttered to himself, taking off in a light sprint towards the source of the noise, though to most it would seem a little faster than just sprinting. Within a few minutes, he came upon the scene, mismatched eyes considering it carefully. A car with a tree pinning it to the ground, the metal roof buckling under with doors that were too damaged to open. Time for a moment felt as if it had slowed down while he looked over the situation. Something told him no emergency services would come soon, and waiting for this angel to come went against his own nature.
Seeing people in trouble felt wrong, and so he would do something to help them. With hands buried in his pockets, Damian would approach the crushed car, hearing the people within. Breaths were hurried, heartbeats accelerated and overall, he could tell one of them was injured from the smell of iron in the air. The tree itself looked like no problem, and easing up the pressure upon the car was something he needed to do immediately.
Removing his right hand from a pocket, and putting his fingers under the tree, he gave what looked to be a noncommittal push upwards causing it to rise. Metal groaned, shards of glass falling from broken windows, and sighs of relief were heard. With a casual motion, he tossed the tree aside, letting it slam against the ground with a resounding crack. ”Are you okay?” He asked with worried tones, looking at the two that were still in the car. It had slipped the heroes mind that they could not understand what he was saying.
Regardless of that he grabbed onto one of the doors, tearing it from the frame, giving them the chance to crawl from the wreckage, saying something in a language he could not understand. Still, he felt the pleasure of just helping someone.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
As soon as Tyuki had gotten close enough to realize where the accident had happened, she scooped the little girl up and flew, her wings springing open to push her forward.
As she went rocketing forward, she would hold the girl close to her chest, protecting her from the wind as they moved. Her wings would gyrate, arching backwards and then catching the wind to let her descent be as gentle as possible. Her legs wound prepare for a run, a split second before she ran toward the car making her hesitate. She let the little girl stand on her own two feet.
"Un moment," she would say, asking for one moment from the girl.
A blur of black, gold, and white erupted from Tyuki as she dashed toward the car, stopping to only witness a man in casual clothing flick the tree as if it were a twig away from the car, and then pull the door off. Blinking, she looked at him with her jaw slack and her eyes wide in surprise.
He was like her. But, something about him made her question him.
Not in a bad way. No. She had so many thoughts rush through her mind. Why was he so calm? How could he do it so effortlessly? How did he know that the tree wouldn't hurt anyone if he moved it like that?
Closing the gap between herself and the car with the two victims in it, she would get down on her knees and offer her hands to the two of them.
"My.. leg!" the man would say, finding the english words for it after he let out a few groans of pain.
"Shh. Be still." she said, climbing into the car, her wings folding and pressing against her back as she moved into the cramped space. Tyuki would assess the situation, blindly moving a hand down to feel around the man's leg. As she did, he let out a howl of pain and grabbed onto her shoulder. The natural reflex did not phase Tyuki.
"I don't know if you can understand me, but I need your help," she would say toward Damian, having no room in the car to turn around and look at him.
"Is there any way we can move the car and get his door off?" she asked, slowly backing out of the cramped space to stand and look at Damian with her bright green irises boring into his mismatched hues.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
Something flapping through the air caught his ears, sounding oddly ponderous to him. Something was coming towards the, though he was more focused upon what he was dealing with at the moment. He was more focused upon the people he was trying to save from their car accident, if that was what one could call it. The sound of someone approaching him was there as well, though Atlas did not really do anything. Self-confidence was a factor within his negligence, though power tended to breed such reactions. Within a moment someone else joined his rescue effort, kneeling down and going into the vehicle. It appeared that someone else was trying to help these people, and something told him that he did find who he was looking for.
One of the victims found the words he was looking for in English. The howl of pain that followed was something that made him wince, feeling a small amount of the pain that was likely be experienced by the man. It always came down to this when helping people that were in pain. Unluckily he could not put an end to such pain with any manner of healing abilities. The female asked if there was a way that they could move the vehicle could be moved and the door removed. That required some manner of thought, because he had no idea what he was dealing with. He removed his left hand from the pocket, walking around to the other side of the car, and considering the damage to the door that kept the man pinned. This had been a little worse than originally though, though that was something that he could fix.
This was the hard part really, though he made use of any skills he had. First came reaching through the window, pressing a few fingers against the door that bulged inwards, sharp glass harmlessly scraping against his biceps. The other lightly pressed against the male, extending what protection his tactile telekinesis could over him. It would mitigate any damage trying to remove the door would cause, making any further blood loss as minimal as possible. ”Hold still.” He said, hoping that the man could understand and would listen to what he was saying. First came pushing the dent outwards a little, causing the door that had pinned him in to come out enough that it wasn’t keeping him down.
Removing the door was simple after that, though tearing it off the hinges was not something that he just did. He slowly pulled it off, gauging if he were hurting the man but eventually it did come off, revealing that he had something stabbing into his leg. That made things even more annoying. His specialty was not first aid, meaning that someone else would have to do that, otherwise something told him the heroism would have been for naught.
”Do we have any hospitals nearby? His leg looks pretty bad.” He said, giving the leg a once over and not looking the broken bone that his x-ray vision yielded.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
Tyuki would wait eagerly, moving around of the vehicle after Damian as he assessed the situation. She watched as the glass didn't even cut his flesh, but instead broke off and fell away as if it were brittle ice.
"Come on.. you can do it," muttering under her breath, she would be ready to move into action, her form standing near to Damian's at this point.
She was easily much shorter than he was. A whole head shorter, actually. Her wings would shift and the feathers would ruffle as the man inside of the car would let out yelps of pain, but they would quiet down as soon as the door was removed. Sirens were in the distance, a rescue team coming to clean up the car wreckage.
Her hands would move with gentle precision. She would put one arm around of the man's shoulders, the other sliding under his thighs. She was smaller in comparison to him, but she lifted him with ease. Pulling him from the car she would step back and walk around of Damian to lay the man down.
"You might not want to, but I need you to pull the metal from his leg. Just trust me." she said, laying the man down. The gear shift stick was jammed into the man's calf, it sticking out from the other side. Blood was decorating the cobblestone street as Tyuki knelt down by the man.
"Papa!" the little girl would scream, but the mother, less banged up, would grab onto her daughter and make her stand still.
"I'm ready when you are." she would say, positioning her hands over the man's leg.
As soon as Damian complied, she would get to work. Her hair would go from pitch black to stark white in two seconds flat. Her green eyes would become two glowing white orbs. Her hands would then emit a bright, golden white light. It washed over the man's leg, healing his bones, his flesh, and repairing any damage he had undergone.
She would then move her hands up his body, healing any other contusions or abrasions. It would only take a few minutes, but when she was finished, she would smile at the man. He would sit up and hug her, a big smile on his face. He would kiss her cheeks, tears streaming down his.
She let out a laugh and hugged him back. When the moment was over, Tyuki would also take a moment to heal the little girl and her mother.
"Our Angel!" the family would say, a bit of glee rising in Tyuki's spirit. She then looked to Damian.
"Thanks for your help." she would say, a breeze crossing the plain to billow her hair.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
Despite how calm he looked, Damian was filled with a variety of tension. He wasn’t sure what would happen, though he had to be confident if this would go well. People did not want to see their heroes were human, no they had to be a little more than just that. Sirens rang out in the distance, suggesting that someone had called for help and he only needed to be sure that this man stayed alive. Heart still beating really fast, something his vision managed to sight before he returned to normal means. Such invasiveness was something that had to be avoided unless he was in a life or death situation like this.
With what looked to be help from the female hero, both of them managed to lay the man down. Next came dealing with the injury, though Damian only had it in mind to stabilize the wound until someone else could make sure it was good. That was when the female mentioned removing the gearshift from his calf, causing Damian to look up questioning at her for a second. If she had some way to fix him, then all he could do was follow along and hope for the best.
With a deep breath, he would wrap his fingers around the bit of metal, looking to the man as he removed it. Flesh minorly tearing could be heard, a little blood spurting on his face. Still, it gave time for Tyuki to do her duty, and manifest her healing ability. Black hair had become white, and suddenly she became the hero that he recognized from so many videos the people of the compound showed him. Once a Talon, but supposedly dead, now she was before him as alive as anyone else. Dozens of questions roiled within his skull, though all Damian did was watch with wide eyed fascination as the damaged flesh knitted itself closed.
Minutes passed but the damage would be gone, leaving the man as good a new. That was followed by her healing the other victims of the accident, Damian allowing that to happen with arms crossed over his chest. The scene itself was touching, and he knew why they called her an angel. Kind and cutting a rather impressive figure with those wings, as well as bringing health to everyone around her. Finally she would turn back to him, thanking the hero for his help despite how much she did herself.
”It was nothing. What you did was pretty good there too.” Damian responded with a smile, trying not to take all of the credit. ”I’d heard this town had an angel guarding it, and it looks like that wasn’t wrong.”
Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
Tyuki's attention turned from the family and she made her way over to the mysterious hero. He had curly brown hair, mismatched eyes, and a strong jaw line. If she was in the market for love, she would definitely take the time to get to know him. But currently she was focused on herself, and how to better her own life without anyone else in it. Afterall, she had just lost one of her closest friends Andrew during their time fighting as the Talons in Canada.
She would cross over from her spot on the street and make her way to Damian. Hesitating for a moment, she looked at the blood on his face. A sort of motherly vibe over took her, her natural caring nature kicking in. She would move a gloved hand up to Damian's face, cleaning off what little blood sprayed over his features.
"It's no big deal. I do it all the time." she would say, dusting her hands off and then placing them on her hips.
"Heard of me? Haha.. Sure." she had no idea he was telling the truth. It wouldn't surprise her, but she still didn't believe that he had heard of her. This town was small, and not much happened in it. The car crash was the worst thing that happened her whole time here. Well, other than the fire she put out last week.
"So, anyway... How the hell did you move that tree without so much as breaking a sweat?" she would ask, her wings opening to lift her up and float her over to the tree. There was a definite shockwave pattern around of the area surrounding the tree. It was clear that it was heavy. She would move her hands around the base and lift, showing she could definitely pick it up, but she was lifting all wrong.
She used her knees, and arms instead of her core and she was wreckless with how she swung the massive oak, it's large branches whining as she swung it alike to a baseball bat. Albeit an oversized one.
"I can do that, too! See!" She let out a grin, a grunt soon following as she let the tree slip from her grip and fall to the ground in front of her.
It was clear she had super strength, but lacked all control to go with it.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
He fought the urge to jerk his head back when the female reached up towards him, wiping away the small splatter of blood from his cheek. He had totally forgotten about that bit, granted Damian had suddenly become more interested in the hero that had helped him out. If she were the Tyuki he had heard about before, that meant everything that had been said about her death was false. Either someone wanted people to believe she was dead, or death did not stick like one thought it should. ” You’d be surprised what I hear.” Damian said in a joking manner, tapping on his head with an index just an inch above the left ear. Suggesting that he was either well informed or just that his hearing was really good.
Then came the question of how he had managed to lift the tree, causing the male to turn to the large tree he had tossed as if it were nothing. ”Thing is I’m strong, really strong.” Was the response that came from him, wondering why that seemed to surprise her so much. Perhaps she was not used to seeing someone of his caliber, or maybe she had lost some vital memories along the way. As soon as he gave the answer, she would fly over to the tree and begin to lift it up as well. This did prove that she was strong, though he could see that her impressive strength was being used all wrong. Despite how large the oak was, something told him that she should have had an easier time lifting such a large one.
It took a quick scan of her form, he could tell what exactly was being done wrong. Again the tree would hit the ground, Atlas striding around the car and over to the downed tree. Her enthusiasm was infectious, but he wanted to help her the best that he could. ”Yeah, you are pretty strong.” He agreed with a nod of the head, tone not suggesting sarcasm for the moment.
”Just need to improve your form. You could lift so much more if you knew what you were doing.” He then added, leaning over with what looked to be a practiced form of lifting. This time using both hands, he lifted the tree over his head with a single fluid motion. A few leaves shook free from it, fluttering to the ground and some of them onto his head.
”You could probably do this too.” He then added in a supportive tone, settling the tree back onto the ground.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
Taking a deep breath, she let it out and turned to look at Damian as the tree crash down onto the ground again. Luckily for them they were in a meadow of sorts next to a smaller creek, a stretch of plains around of them before the base of the mountains started crawling up into the sky to their left, which was the east.
Tyuki would look at him with her head cocked to the side.
"I may be a lot of things, but I'm not a complete idiot! I realized that you were really, really strong." she let out some laughter, a smile actually crossing her face. She had been in such a rut for the last month, and it was so nice to finally just laugh about something, even if it was herself.
Taking a few steps backward, she would give Damian some room as he complimented her strength. She expected him to be sarcastic, but he wasn't.
"Well, if you've got time, I'm willing to learn," she said, watching as he effortlessly lifted the tree and then laid it back down as if he was putting a baby to sleep.
She then clapped and rushed over to him, her wings opening to push her forward faster.
"You have GOT to teach me!" she said, offering her hand to his.
"I guess we should be formally introduced if you're going to become my teacher, huh? I'm Tyuki Gold. Or Eclipse. Whatever you want to call me." she said, waiting for Damian to take her hand so she could shake it with enthusiasm.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
Damian smirked when she said she already knew he was strong, though it was always nice to hear someone else admit that he was. ”So that makes us both really strong.” He said, just enjoying the banter with the person he was talking to. After showing her a little of how to lift things, he found himself being asked how to lift properly, something that he was sure someone even close to his caliber of strength would want. Heroes helping one another out was something that he believed in and so Damian would act upon that inclination to help.
”I’ve got time.” He responded, looking down to the tree with slightly furrowed brows. While lifting trees would have been nice, something told him that she would likely need more than that to reach her potential. Something told him that was what his superiors would want, and that was good enough for him. ”So yeah, I’ll teach you what I know. Always willing to help out a fellow hero and stuff like that.” He said, taking on the fresh country air that permeated the town. A part of him could really enjoy living a life like this, without all the pollution of New York.
Then came the introductions, the female with wings giving her name. ”You can call me Damian Miles or just Atlas if you’re so inclined.” He wasn’t expecting her to know the name. Less people than he thought knew it, but more people than expected did as well. He shook the hand in return, still smiling as he made sure not to make the grip too extreme, otherwise he likely would just accidentally hurt her hand.
”Guess you want to start the training now, right?”

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
She would shake his hand, her grip filling his with a confidence unlike any other. She would grin, her wings spreading open as she bounced on her feet. She was like a kid at Christmas.
Something was sparking inside of her, and she was feeling more and more like her old self. She had lost a teammate, comrade, and friend. She had been put through things she had never thought would happen to her, and yet here she was.
She had the pleasure of meeting another Angelic being named Yofie, and now she was meeting another Hero with incredible strength that was willing to help her out and actually take the time to teach her. She was so thankful, and she couldn't express it enough.
"I really appreciate it Damian, I do." she said and then corrected herself.
"Atlas. Unless you don't mind I call you Damian." she said, her mind wandering for a moment as she thought back to a night browsing the internet. A video had gone viral. It was of a man that had incredible strength. He had lifted an oil tanker in London at the pier. There was some other Alien like person there, but she remembered his face.
"I saw you! IN a video! I think I remember your face. I was wondering why you looked familiar..." tapping her chin in thought she hummed and nodded before gasping.
"We can start now? Let's go!" she said, ready for anything he had to offer.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
His sudden new apprentice looked rather giddy about his agreeing to train her in the use of super strength. She voiced her appreciation, almost making him nervous enough to blush and that was something that was surprisingly something that was easy to do to Atlas. ”You can call me whatever you want.” He shrugged, wondering if she would actually go as far as to call him Atlas continually. ”I sorta respond to both anyway.” Adding that he tried to think of places one could train their superior strength, examining the area around him and seeing nothing fully suitable.
There were of course The Alps but that means dealing with potentially defacing a rather beautiful natural landmark. Not that he was beyond doing something like that, if it would held someone like him. While thinking about that, Tyuki brought up seeing him in a video, It sounded like one of those YouTube videos that showed up, mostly him saving people from high danger situations, even beating up a few metahumans that got a bit big for themselves.
”Lot of videos of me flowing around I guess.” He said with a grin, seeming even more flattered by the suggested popularity. ”Alright, let’s just take this away from here. Don’t wanna accidentally break any public property.” He suggested, beginning to levitate off the ground without any apparent means of propulsion.
”Just follow me.” He said, and took off in the direction of what looked to be mountains overlooking the town.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
The sirens had faded, the family gone, and the wrecked vehicle being left with police tape until tomorrow. This was the country, and the mechanic would have to come out earlier in the morning to get the rest of the car towed back to the main town.
Tyuki was thankful that Damian had showed up when he had, intentional or not, and helped out with the situation.
"Huh?" she asked, her mind being pulled back to the task at hand. That was right, he was going to teach her. It made sense to do it somewhere else.
Her wings would instinctively spread open and out, flapping a few times to prepare for take off. She was wondering how he would get to wherever they were headed, but when he also hovered off of the ground, she realized his abilities were much more than she had assumed.
"Oh wow. You can fly without wings?" awestruck, Tyuki would just keep up with him, noticing their destination was the mountain range over looking the little french town at the border of Switzerland.
"About how long have you been doing the whole... hero thing?" she asked, coming up on his right as she flew just a bit higher than he did. A crisp chill was in the air as they climbed in altitude, but Tyuki's tough skin did not even feel the affects. She had endured the harsh heat of Egypt as well as the ice cold desert nights.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
Damian could hear the faint sirens going off in the distance, though he was more interested in helping the person in front of him. ”Yeah I can. Has something to do with weird…telekinesis or something like that.” Damian explained, sounding like he fully did not understand his own abilities. Granted he understood what he needed to and that was he could hit things harder than most metahumans could, which meant that he had to know how to control such strength. Both of them began their flight towards the mountains, Damian just enjoying the view on the way there.
Tyuki would catch up to him quickly, asking how long he had been doing his heroing. Recalling the information like that was difficult, only if he did not have an exact time in his mind. ”Can’t really remember. Been about….eight years I guess.” He admitted with a shrug, as they continued to go higher in elevation, though the thinner air did not even begin to affect him. Eventually they would land on one of the mountains, a few harsh winds blowing against him but it wasn’t quite the temperature that would hamper him yet. Their landing area around them was smooth save for a few considerably sized boulders.
They were heavier than the tree, something that he could make use of when he wanted to teach Tyuki how to lift. ”Try lifting it like this.” He said, making sure his style of lifting was obvious as he knelt down and wrenched the large rock up.

Re: Not a Man of Violence (Starring: Damian as Atlas and Tyuki as Eclipse)
Wrapping her head around of that, she had to take a moment to think of how long she had been in the "hero" business herself.
It was, what, when she was eighteen years old when she started all of this? And now her birthday would be coming up. Or had it passed? She didn't really pay attention to the days. So, if she were doing her math correctly, she would be twenty-three, and so that meant she had been doing this for five whole years... and it all started because she wanted to see if she could make a difference in the world.
And here she was, making a difference in her own life first. She felt selfish for a split second, but it passed as she landed next to Damian. The frigid winds doing nothing but tousling her hair around. She felt a little silly in comparison to him. He had on regular clothes, and she was stark in her hero costume. It was all she had, really, so she wore it the most. The older lady she had chosen to stay with had offered her a few dresses, but it wasn't ladylike to be showing off your under garments mid-flight now, was it?
Chuckling inwardly, Tyuki would look to Damian as he instructed her on how to properly begin to lift the boulder. She would come up to one about half the size of his and position herself, her wings arcing and preparing for the weight to be lifted up. As she lifted, she would use her core instead of her knees, and she would shift her wings to use them against the lifting muscles. All of these faults caused her to struggle, but she did lift the boulder.
"... Okay! I.. got it!" she would say, straining a bit. It was a bit heavy, but she knew she could do better. She had surprised herself in other situations - but she wasn't just lifting for fun or for learning at those times. She was exerting her strength in dire situations that demanded she do it. Maybe she needed a reason to lift the rock. A purpose.
